We had a 2 day stay to see family. The bed and pillows were too soft and uncomfortable. It looked like it hadn't been clean properly, if it all. It wasn't vacuumed, swept or mopped. If you need somewhere to just lay your head and dont care much abut cleanliness this will work.

This hotel is NOT a family friendly hotel and the bar has been set really low for cleanliness and accommodations. This is a hotel that you stay at if you want something below a Motel 6. The shower curtains were moldy, showers were hair covered, beds were definitely from the early 2000's, the fabric on every chair in the hotel and all the carpets in the hotel were absolutely filthy. The room smelled like smoke. A group of oil workers decided to have a fiesta outside our room window (we were saved only by a rainstorm), there is no cleaning staff on weekends at all, so keep your towel. FULL breakfast does not mean a sit down restaurant, it means continental breakfast but unless you want to sit on chairs that are some inexplicable shade of green with grey and black filth, go somewhere else to eat. Sure this is good for oil workers who just want the four S's but for anyone looking for clean affordable accommodations, go to Motel 6 or Super 8!!

Hallways were never vacuumed the 4 days I stayed. Garbage cans were over flowing. Lots of noisy talking outside my window.

The hotel was conveniently located and easy to find. The room was clean, the bedding was clean (but pillows were lumpy), the bathroom was clean and stocked but there were no plastic cups in the room. The facility was clean & quiet. We utilized the dining area for a family gathering during the evening and morning of our stay. The area had a pool table, which we enjoyed as well. Overall, it was better than I expected for a small town in ND and a better place to stay than other hotels we have been in much larger cities. I would recommend this hotel to others.

We had a great stay at Black Gold. The lobby and kitchen were SUPER CLEAN! The guy checking us in was very friendly and more than accommodating. We were only there overnight and got a low rate that included two meals. Our room was clean with a great shower. I would stay there again

My adventure at Black Gold Suites did not have a smooth start. Just as life does not go as planned, Black Gold had a bumpy start with me. However, the staff at Black Gold Suites made all the necessary corrections and made my visit very pleasant. I will definitely return to this property in the future.

Breakfast was bad, they were consistently out of juice, cups, plates and cereal. Every morning the coffee was cold to luke warm. This all could be byproducts of the shear volume of oil field worker residents. The staff was super friendly and attempted to make things right, but the circumstances caused by the supply and demand was out of their hands.

very friendly staff. There was no hair dryer, iron, ironing board. TV keeps shutting off. Happened last time we stayed there too. Very noisy air cond/heater. Will probably try a different hotel next time we are in Stanley ND. Also the toilet rocked and only two bath towels. Ice machine was broke down. Had to go up to second floor for ice.

Stayed with my 2 yr old daughter. They had everything to make meals with which was a huge plus!

Some Details: We were there for the funeral of our 97 year old Dad, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Preacher of God's Word, and Friend. GATHERING PLACE: Nice area near the lobby to sit down, visit, play guitar, and sing songs. Other guests enjoyed the music and atmosphere. FOOD -- Breakfast was varied every morning with several options. The staff specially made us a Soup or Chili for the evening. We also enjoyed the Chinese restaurant two blocks away, and the Whirl-a-Whips, and Chocolate Malts at Stanley Drug. ROOMS -- Clean, comfortable and nice. Had a bigger TV than expected. Although not supplied, we were able to borrow an ironing board and hair dryer from the desk. WE CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH FOR EVERYTHING THEY DID FOR US. MAY GOD BLESS YOU!

Staff was excellent. Rooms were very comfy and quiet. I'd gladly stay here again

The staff was friendly and got me checked in very quickly. She even gave me directions to the nearest shops and restaurants. The checkout in the morning was smooth as well. A great hotel for the price.

Least expensive in town, they didn’t clean our room for two day and breakfast was sad.

Room went uncleaned for a day, nobody was at the service desk for check in, i had to call the hotel to get someone there after waiting 10 minutes.

The motel is a very nice facility. It needs to be better managed with better staff. They let the food and coffee run out in the breakfast area. The staff was not customer friendly.
