This place looks just like their pictures! Its an amazing place. I loved the bungalows right in front of the ocean. Beautifully decorated and arranged room. No phones; not even to call the front desk. The Bistro is amazing! Happy hour 3-5pm. Drinks are great. Food is beautifully presented and tasty. Service was excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Make sure you have US dollars with you for tipping as there is no bank or ATM nearby. Belize City airport doesn't have currency exchange either. Bring the benjamins from the US.

Very nice greeting upon checkin and property was clean and well maintained. Parking lot accessible only by walking on beach path. Pool was small but refreshing and we had breakfast at the bistro and the food was good. Room had a balcony overlooking the ocean and the sounds of the waves was great in the evening. 15-20 min drive to the town but there are several restaurants and convenience stores close by. Overall, would definitely stay again.

Great spot right on the water! Our room was upgraded to a beautiful beachfront with a kitchen. The Bistro restaurant was awesome and right next to the pool. Staff friendly and helpful. Quite little area.

Our checkin was very easy and the staff was very friendly. It was nice that every day they made sure we had everything we needed and if there was anything they can do to accommodate us. The room was very nice and right on the beach. It was nice to just wake up and put your feet in the sand and look at the beautiful ocean. I would highly recommend staying here.

My wife and I stayed in the bottom level of Dreamsicle for 6 nights in March 2024. Everything was wonderful. The house is clean and comfortable with everything you will need. The private porch with a hammock and a view of the ocean just footsteps away is amazing. The property is very relaxed and quiet at all times. The Bistro is terrific. Probably best of all is the amazing service we got from the ladies working at reception the whole time we were there. We will definitely be returning to the Dreamsicle house as soon as we can.

We absolutely loved this hotel, it was a dream experience and we travel lots! The staff were friendly and helpful, the Superior room we had was pure luxury on the beach, you could hear the waves from your bed. There is a small beach there and you cam swim in the sea, there is a nice pool too. The restaurant was fabulous, we ate there three times including once from our room. All that we ate was absolutely lovely! It’s quite a way out of the main town but there are a couple of places nearby to eat/drink. Bikes and water craft available on site for free.

being on the beach was great, property needs more maintenance done, our sliding door kept going off track and hard to lock, air conditioning blowing on bed was not conducive to sleeping well. staff was friendly and so nice

Great place to stay other than the mattress, which is super hard. We were unable to sleep well on it. The pool is really small, but nice. The beach is beautiful and there are always beach chairs available. The bistro was really good and convenient with friendly service. I would go back if they got some foam mattress toppers.

Great staff - friendly, happy, helpful. Great restaurant - "The Bistro". You need to make a reservation for dinner as it is very popular and guests come from all over the area! Our room was the lower suite in the "Flip Flop Palace". It had a full kitchen, so if you wanted to prepare your own meals, you totally could! (but the restaurant food was so good, we never did!!) It is worth a drive (taxi) to Placencia to get groceries etc as the nearest one is very expensive. They have 4 bicycles, but none have carriers, so you need to take a backpack if you want to bring supplies back. Tours are out of Placencia (20 min away). The resort used "Go Sea" tours. Lower unit was noisy as you can hear the people above you. Beach is so close you feel like you walk out of your door and step right onto the beach! So close! We loved it!

I can't say enough about Maya Beach Hotel! I had the most fantastic time. The property is absolutely gorgeous, as are the rooms. The staff is stellar, and they made things so easy by booking the flight from BZE to PLJ as well as local tours. And last but not least, the restaurant is really top-notch. I ate there almost every day and I didn't have the same thing twice - it's truly one of the best hotel restaurants I've ever eaten at. Even if you don't stay here, it's worth checking out! Maya Beach Hotel is a 10 out of 10, no notes!

Always our “Happy Place”. Nothing fancy but definitely a hidden gem. Cabana’s are comfy and stocked with anything you could possibly need. Great, friendly service!!!

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was clean and very conveniently located to a beach area/ocean. The area was quiet and the room was very comfortable!

Maya Beach was recommended to us and it was great. My room/apartment had a private porch with a hammock and a private pool. The room was big, clean, and the bedroom was air conditioned. The restaurant was wonderful and I really liked the swim up bar. If you want to relax this is the place to go.

We loved our stay at Maya Beach Hotel and the excellent food at the bistro was also a huge plus! Honestly everything about it was fantastic: the views, location, wonderful service from the hotel staff, free kayaks, help with booking excursions, the whole property itself and an added bonus was the clear vegan/vegetarian menu section with lots of options! Diona at the front desk went above and beyond, especially when she helped my partner obtain surprise flowers for me for Valentines Day. We wish we could’ve stayed longer and would recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful property, very beautiful and clean. We loved the Bistro restaurant attached and the staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!

The staff are outstanding. The first night we had trouble with our room door lock so that irked me. Spending an hour on that was annoying but we found help and it was fixed the next day. So all good there. Housekeeping is optional and you have to request it. The food is the biggest plus and if makes trying to find other eating options unnecessary. We ate out twice in Placencia and altough those restaurants were recommended they were not very good. All in all good stay. Beach is wonderful. Complementary conoes are wonderful. We used them too. Front Desk staff is professional and fantastic. We would have preferred a different room.
