The building is an old residential building converted to something they call a hostel but is closer to a hippie commune. It's poorly maintained and some of the choices done during the conversion are borderline illegal (take for example placing a shower cubicle around a sprinkler). Lack of maintenance leads to problems with windows as well as heating, causing a freezing cold bathroom with only -3 C outside. Also not great for the environment. Just fix the seal in the windows, air your radiators, and you'll get away with half the heating. Can't say anything about service as there is none, full self-service. The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean, so at least there's that. Even considering the cheap price, I won't be visiting them again. To me the lack of personnel on site, the lack of maintenance and the type of clientel just scream that this place is going to burn down sooner or later. To be honest, you should not even be allowed to operate like this in the first place, but I suppose that's Kemi for you.

The hostel was clean and all instructions were sent before we arrived. We have never seen anyone from the hostel, nor got instructions for the sauna. The place was clean and calm. We would have appreciated to have a twin bed option or be abte to bring the beds together. We stayed only for one night in Kemi and this was enough and satisfying, train station and restaurants are walking distance from the hostel

Hinta/laatu-suhde kohdallaan. Hyvä huone perustarpeineen, sänky, lakanat, pyyhe, tuoli ja jääkaappi, minä en muuta tarvinutkaan. Hyvä sijainti, helppo käydä kaupungilla, mutta sopivasti syrjässä vilkkaimmalta liikenteeltä. WC- ja suihkutiloja oli riittävästi, niihin ei tarvinnut jonottaa.

The apartment was located on the same street as the hostel. The staff were very helpful with our stay. The check in instructions could have been clearer but otherwise smooth overall. The apartment was spotless and the private sauna was such a nice luxury. I highly recommend ordering breakfast from them. They put these cute little baskets full of breakfast staples and some juice and milk, definitely worth paying extra for. Highly recommended the stay!

Aamupala jäi saamatta vaikka tilattiin etukäteen ja lapsille eri huone vaikka kaikkien piti olla samassa huoneessa. Mutta muuten siisti ja ihan hyvässä paikkaa.

The landscape and the environment are beautiful. The receptionnist were great and kind, contact sens and helpfull. The only thing that we were surprised for was the commune toalet, but it was not a problem, we loved staying in this hostel for 1 week. Thank you. P.s : the ambience was really friendly with all the customers !!

No doubt that a short stay for this hostel is okay. However, it is a bit far away from train and supermarkets

Quite short walk (5-10 mins) to the nearby shops and restaurants in Kemi. If you are simply looking for a place for the night this is a good bet. Late arrivals can access the facility and rooms by electronic pass codes.

overall the apartment for 5 persons stay was great! got sauna and kitchen. the slack part is got to call receptionist as nobody was stationed there.

Stayed at the hostel over night on our way home from santa claus village rovaniemi! Really nice clean not to mention priceworthy hostel with everything you can really ask for. Since we were only there to sleep, we didn’t use the sauna or the billiard, but I think those are really nice things for a hostel to have. Pluspoints for the diverprints by the dire extinguishers.

There are also two saunas, which also have showers and baths in the adjoining room (also lockable). Large kitchen and two lounge/recreation rooms, one with pool table and one with TV.
