This was a disappointing stay. We thought the hotel would be very close to the airport buv even at 4 am it was a ten minute drive. Rooms are modest, coridoors shabby and restaurant ordinary.

It’s a beautiful place to stay

The rooms are well equiped, modern and clean. However, on arrival we were told there was a wedding and there would be loud music until 11:00pm. Given it was a wedding this was not an issue but it would have been courteous to message some days before which is possible through expedia. Unfortunately the music didn't actually stop until 12:30 and in addition, there was a significant amount of clear up noise taking place. The restaurant was unfortunately our worst meal of our two week sri lanka holiday. Overall, for a night before or just after a flight we would find a different place in the future.

This airport hotel is one of best options around the area, it offers a cleaner and spacious room as compared to others. However, I do not appreciate the staff called my room in the morning asking if I'd like to have breakfast in the room, making me think that it's included in the room rate when in fact I was charged an additional fee for it.

Not ready for Western travelers. Almost no English speakers on the entire staff, evening and day although they tried and were very nice. The hotel is new and clean but in the middle of nowhere. We booked because it claimed to be 5 minutes from the airport but out taxi took 30 minutes and got lost driving tiny back alleys. The power and water were off this morning with no notice although it was fixed quickly.

Convenient hotel near international airport. Some noise from main road about 100m away. Price of food a little higher than most hotels in Sri Lanka but quality OK.

They almost did so that we missed our flight. The car was parked outside that we had paid for and pre-booked but they didn't have any driver.

We chose this hotel since it was close to the airport and we wanted to chill the last day. The hotel looks nice and seems new. Unfortunately it was not a great place. The WiFi was on and off all the time and never that fast. There was no WiFi by the pool. We had to change our rooms since the water in the sink did not work. The new room worked better but the toilet had water running all the time, so it would empty the tank. Our air condition barely worked. The highway is next door and it's not really that soundproof. It works for one day, but not more. Breakfast was good though. And location to airport is perfect

Less than impressive. Hotel car failed to turn up at the airport when i arrived in Sri Lanka despite email confirmation. That qs first stay. Second stay i wanted an early night for a 4am airport departure the next morning. Impossible as there was a corporate party in their nonsoundproofed hospitality suite and the noise was unbearable until after 1.30am. The room was tatty needing propper cleaning and a lick of paint. All such a shame as thw location and proximity to airport meant this should be an ideal airport sleepover.

Though, like many of the newer Sri Lankan hotels, Amora Lagoon is a nice facility (nice decorations, modern architecture), the recent Easter attacks have hit the Sri Lankan tourist industry quite hard. I was maybe 1 of 3 guests in the entire hotel. This meant the mini bar was empty, they werent serving off the room service menu (you had to go to the dining room and order and then theyd bring it to your room) and the facility didnt appear to have been maintained as it should have.There were scribble marks on the wall, splashes of God knows what, and the complimentary coffee and tea bags in the room were splattered with a black substance which made me loathe to drink it. Even after my room was cleaned the second day, fresh bottles of water werent put out, nor did the cleaning staff replace the tea/coffee with clean, fresh supplies.My sense is that in a typical tourist season, the hotel would be better. But overall, my stay was average at best.

Worst hotel I have stayed at. After contacting the hotel's staff 3 times to request airport shuttle, no one ended up showing up to pick me up. Rooms are filthy with extremely dirty rugs, broken curtains, and a bathroom with spartan amenities (you don't even get curtain so whenever you bathe, the entire bathroom gets soaked). The hotel is polite, but beyond incompetent.

Lovely hotel, just very noisy at night time as there was a big party on. Automatic lights came on 3 times in the night and woke us up.

Beautiful hote,l arrived to be sat down in reception brought a cold flannel and a cold juice.Check in very quick.The room was large and comfortable, only negatives no hot water in the shower and very close to a main road so a bit noisy so ask for a room on the other side. Breakfast very good plenty of choice freshly made omelettes.

We had booked the room Via Hotels.com and it was confirmed. When we arrived to the hotel, we weretold that they have no room available for us. They said that they have arranged a room for us from an other similar hotel near by and we have to pay only half ofthe price compared to Amora Lagoon price and that they will pay the other half on behalf of us. They drove us to this other hotel which was a very poor quality place and their list price was half of Amora’s price which we had to pay totally. Amora could even have called us in advance but they didn’t even do that. Based on this case, I can’t trust on Hotels.com bookings in the future.

10 minute taxi ride from Colombo airport. Brand new hotel, only opened in summer 2018. Friendly staff, really helpful. Perfect for an overnight stay when stopover in Colombo.
