too many restrictions..call them before you book!sounds like jail..make sure you call them and understand everything before you spend your money on them

Clean, basic. 35$ taxi from airport. Limited breakfast. No outside window. Noisy from other guests.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in terms of noise. My room had a window that opened onto the main stairwell and foyer below. The window was high up and hard to reach. When I did manage to reach the window, I realized closing it did not really reduce the noise. Customers arrived constantly from 7pm to 2am, when I had to wake up for my flight.

The afternoon front desk lady was not very helpful but the morning guy was better. The bathroom has a funny small. The good thing is it is close to the market.

It says 4 star hotel but like 2 star hotel. Breakfast is not good. Standard one everyday. Very limited options. Rooms are so small. No elevator. But there was hot water all the time and microwave( we did not use)

Got a little loud at night, but eventually the drunk person from somewhere across the street turned off his speakers. Nice, clean, well priced for the service, otherwise.

Had an AC room on 3rd floor. It was only $2 more than no AC. Not sure why so many bad reviews for this. Yeah, stairs. I was in CR for two months and never even saw an elevator. Why complain? Place was clean, employees were helpful, breakfast was good (get a ticket from the front desk), so close to the bus to Nicoya peninsula. Good deal.

Hotel is average, no windows to see outside. They made makeshift windows close to the ceiling for ventilation. Wouldn’t really recommend. But we chose this place because of its proximity to the airport and the town.

The staff very nice and proactive. Not expensive. The issue of no A/C it’s something to consider, noise from outside the rooms and very small parking. But very well located for people in transit

The room provided was very small. Booked deluxe double which should not be smallest.Toilet was smelling. No elevator. They provided the room on the 2nd floor even when rooms were vacant on the grounor even 1st floor. Carrying the luggage to the 2nd floor .. bathroom and bedroom very small. Even when I had booked for 2 days with breakfast and reached around 10 next day. They did not courtesy to provide a bottle of water in the room.

Good stay

No parking, park your own risk finding in the getto street , no air conditioning in the room. 1 towel provided for even for 2 bedrooms with 4 adults. People were drinking and talking loud by the window by the room 101. After complaining, people left in hours. They hates online booking specifically Expedia.

The hotel staff was excellent! I was a bit taken back by the location but overall I would come back!

Good

No air condition, only a ceiling fan. Small refrigerator did not work, toilet seat too close to the wall, faucet water had no hot water, toilet tissue located in the rear of the toilet. However, I saved money overall and it was clear it's an informal hotel. Staff was nice and security clearly visible throughout the day and night. Decorations and paintings were beautiful. Throughout the hotel the tile floor was so clean I saw people walking around barefoot it. I recommend it to only single men for Business without female company.

What I don’t like is paying to a company that doesn’t care at all if the client is staying in a safe place or not . When we buy a hotel we don’t know what are we getting to . I could not go out at night because I was told by everyone that I was in a very unsafe area .

Customer service was great. We required pick up from airport and late check in. Driver met us at the airport, drove us to the hotel. The staff at the desk were very friendly. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay.

A/C and security would be great

The location was great for convenient access to bus terminals. The local neighborhood was far from stellar. Given this fact, I was surprised with the flimsy door lock. (I took everything important with me when I left the room.) Sound proofing is poor. Luckily everyone shut down by 10 on the weekday and it ended up very quiet through the night. I appreciated the effort to supply bag breakfasts for early departures. (Contents not favourable for me.) I will very likely book again for my transits through San Jose.

I do not recommend this hotel at all. We booked based on the descriptions: Airport shuttle - not available. Late check out option - not available. AC - did not exist. It was so loud we were not able to sleep. There were people loudly talking until after midnight. Street traffic was awful. The floor would have been better than the beds. The front desk is in need of training. They would not honor the hotel.com gold/vip membership and did not know what it was for upgrades and late check outs. Description does not match the hotel environment! Total waste of money even though it was supposed to be one night transferring buses/airport on our travels. The only semi-decent thing was the restaurant.

Very convenient for food places. Nothing else was close by.

If you are adventurous, not afraid to walk around the cities and want to save money, I recommend this hotel. The location is excellent for visiting the center of San José (10min walk) but it is located in a non-tourist area. The room is worth the price paid. It also includes breakfast.

It's a VERY GOOD DEAL for the price, I'm saying that having stayed around San Jose in different properties for a week. The best part are the staff: specifically Neidis Chavez and Melissa - very professional and very eager to help. So is the gentleman, I just didn't get his name. Also LOVED the free COFFEE, WATER and TEA. I do recommend it.

For the price, the hotel is a good value: only two blocks from bus to Liberia and Guanacaste region, very close to the Coca Cola terminal and shopping area as well. There are a few simple eateries next door and taxies often pass by, so great location for central San José. Room is good, has toiletries that I didn't expect like shampoo, clean. Bed is a bit too soft for me, nice hot water unit for shower, especially during cold December night. Bed also came with comforter because no one has heating, especially hotels at this price range! It helped! My only complaint would be the noice, you can hear pretty much everything when others speak. Thankfully, other guests were respectful enough to not make much noise at night, but early morning you can hear the conversations of those coming and going. Traffic outside is not so loud, but inside noise is easy to pick up.oh, breakfast was included. Despite the noice, I would still recommend the hotel for it's location and overall value.

You get what you pay for. Nice staff but paper thin walls. A lot of noise at night and heavy trucks rumbling outside. Very small rooms. Sketchy hot water.
