Loved the stay and the party at the rooftop.

I like the room. It was thoughtfully decorated and very clean. I didn’t find the staff very helpful or pleasant. It was like I was bothering them whenever I’d ask for information. It was the other guests who helped me when needed. The kitchen only had 2 spoons, no bowls, and 2 cups. I think it’s important to let people know that the Lapa area, at least near the hotel, has a lot of homelessness and people addicted to substances. I think having a Welcome Session to inform guests about the property, location, and public transportation options would be very helpful.

This hostel is a disgrace! I chose it specifically for its coworking space, but my experience has been a nightmare. The first night, I couldn't sleep due to loud toilet pipes at 3 AM. The second night, a man repeatedly tried to enter my room from 9 PM to 3 AM, leaving me terrified. Despite the supposed 24/7 reception, they were unresponsive. Now, Selina is refusing to refund me for the remaining stay, despite Expedia advising me to leave early. Avoid Selina at all costs.

My wife and son enjoyed their stay even though their room did not have a tv. I cant remember if I saw that it would be so that is on me. All that matters is they enjoyed their stay.

The hotel is located in the tourist area of Lapa in a good way. Is best to get ESIMS before you get there so you can enjoy your touring with UBER because they are always around the hotel and saves you lots of of heartache due to language barrier. The Rooftop bar is also convienently on top of the hotel. I did not experience much noise either.

Good location for Centro. Check-in stuff great. Rooms are fine. It’s really a young persons hotel. Very loud until 10pm, DJs etc. Breakfast chaotic and not great, which is an exceptional for Brazil. That said, good value for money.

For the price, really good. Even though, we put the door signal to clean, the room was not cleaned. Breakfast was simple, but okay. Don’t expect luxury for the price. The staff was very nice. The rooftop bar is a nice option to relax at evenings

I get what I pay for the stay is so cheap can't expect much like clean drapes, lack of bugs, soap in shower stall

Comfy large bed, stylish hotel, conveniently located, great coffee, friendly staff. Always a good choice to stay at Selina.

It was great, I stayed in the Suite+ and loved it. I visited the rest of the hostel and very clean. The staff was soooo nice and the volunteers as well.

I stayed here in Nov-20 and then again for new year. The first time me review wasn’t particularly good because I felt the room could be cleaner and the then new manager promised that the issues would be addressed. On my second visit I must admit they had really addressed the issues. The room was spotless, the sheets and towels were regularly changed and it felt like fresh! Highly recommend this place is you want to stay near the historic centre, Santa Teresa, Lapa, Glória etc.

The hotel was clean and well kept. The only cons were - No iron - No first-aid kit - The common kitchen area wasn't clean. Even though it is up to guests to use they should have standard cleaning since everyone's individual cleaning style is not thorough. Also, a tip is to keep the key card in the slot to use the air conditioning and taking it out will cause it to go out.

The hotel was nice but could do with a bit of cleaning, I had a mild rash from sleeping in the bed. The location is right in the centre of the night district (Lapa) and very close to the historic centre and the famous stairs but far from the beach.

They have lively music on both of them somedays.Big common kitchen, with a lot of equipment (but no glasses, be aware). There's also a cinema and a library.I would stay there again.

Stayed three nights at the Selina after Carnival. The hotel and staff were excellent. The hotel is situated in a central location. Great value for the price. Would recommend.

Gorgeous old building in the middle of Lapa, tastefully renovated and with a very chic decor. lots of social activities going on in and outside the hostel. Everything was perfect except our room was very noisy as it's a busy area and there's barely insulation from the outside noises. I loved it nevertheless.

Selina Hotel is in a great location! Rooms are updated and look chic and new. The bed was comfortable, wifi fast, air con strong. The room was big enough, it was reasonably quiet for a good night sleep (and the black out curtains were awesome). The hotel has a nice kitchen area downstairs and a ton of space to get work done. There is also a restaurant/bar downstairs. The highlight (other than location and comfort) was that there is a super fun rooftop bar with parties going on you get free access to when staying at the hotel. Would recommend!No pool or TV in rooms, FYI.
