This property and the host is magnificent...if I have a suggestion it would be that they eased up the no visitor rule, I have Cuban friends and not one time I was able to bring them in offer a cold beverage or let them use the toilet...that's not good. And the other thing is they kept turning off the wi fi..for long periods of time I had no internet connection in fact I was watching a movie and all of the sudden...gone Besides that everything else was super...but I won't return.

Highly recommend staying with Melba and Alberto. They were excellent hosts, their home is clean, spacious and comfortable. And conveniently located. My cousin and I walked to most places. Every morning, they provided us breakfast and delicious Cuban coffee! They were able to book tours for us, and give us great advice on how to get around. I am recommending my parents stay with them later this year when they come to Cuba and would recommend them to anyone else I hear is traveling. Thank you Melba and Alberto for your hospitality!

When you walk in to the building, you might be a bit concerned, but not to worry, once you get out of the elevator on their floor, the home is beautiful. Alberto and Melba were kind, warm, and helpful. Their place is clean, orderly, and offered everything we needed, at a very reasonable price. They provided coffee and breakfast in the morning and even rum one evening. The location is great. Their terrace is absolutely beautiful with city and ocean views. The room we slept in was comfortable and the bathroom worked just fine. As an fyi, the Wi-Fi is not always the best. You have to ask them to provide it and they may have to reconnect from time to time. Melba has beautiful plants throughout her home and is so sweet! Alberto is also very kind. He even set up nice exercise equipment for the active travelers! There’s a heavy bag, free weights, a pull-up bar, weight bench, a stationary bike, and more. I would recommend this location for travelers with or without families/children. If I come back one day, I would choose to stay with them again.

Lovely hosts, always helping and caring. Great terrace with an amazing view over Havanna and to the sea. Breakfast (on the terrace) is typically cuban, so fruits, eggs, bread, juice, coffee. 10 Minutes to Havanna Vieja by foot.

Fabulous find. Fabulous people. Like having your own personal concierge and cook. Havana is a shock for first time travelers. Supplies are scarce and people are suffering since the pandemic. You wouldn’t know it with Melba and Alberto though. We speak decent Spanish so were able to learn a lot about Cuba’s history and culture from this well educated couple. Even if you don’t speak much Spanish, they will help you navigate in Cuba. Our room and bathroom were private and up a flight of stairs. We dined in the common areas of the flat. Guests have access to good water, a tea kettle, and coffee (made by Alberto and delicious Cuban style) almost any time of day. Melba is a wonderful cook and can do dinners on the terrace by request. Breakfast of your choice is included. A/C was cold. Window coverings. Amazing views. Typical Cuban beds, so on the firm side. Good shower. We will be returning!

What an amazing place! The room is clean, airy, very spacious, well equipped, everything works. It has a lovely, quite large balcony with a great view of the city, its historical buildings and the ocean. The hosts are impeccable: very friendly, extremely polite. They were very helpful with the taxi rides to and from the airport, the currency exchange, maps, dinner reservations, all done very professionally as a hotel concierge. I am definitely going back! I strongly recommend it! Thank you, Melba and Alberto, for making my holidays in Havana so perfect.

It was definitely one of the best casa in Cuba. The house was clean, beautiful and welcoming. And it had amazing view of the city. Having breakfast in the terrace was one of our favorite experience during the trip. The hosts were also very nice and sweet. I strongly recommend this house!

We had a wonderful stay with Melba and Alberto. They were so kind and caring. The breakfast was delicious. We had unlimited internet. We could make coffee at any time. They arranged a taxi to the airport and cashed our dollars. Thank you for a great time in Havanna.

If you looking for a nice place to stay in Havana, these guys are best. Very helpful, great food and lovely views of the sea. Place is very central and walking to everywhere is easy! I had a brilliant and very personalized stay with Melba and Alberto (they run B&B for approx. 18 years now and its outstanding). Since the first email contact after booking until my check out at 4.30am they were very kind, attentive and extremely helpfull. My room was spacious and offered a balcony with outside seating and great views to the city and sea. Can as well recommend to have not only breakfast but as well try the dinner cooked by Melba with fresh ingredients upon your liking - I had a fish with vegetables as a main which was delicious. Alberto is happy to share his knowledge about cuban cigars and is even offering from his privat stock of excellent quality tabacco. Last but not least I want to mention the city tour, which is offered in a very tailored way with plenty of insights about the history and daily life of Cubans in Havana. We loved the apt setup , 8th floor the views , excellent breakfast , we felt like home ... the hosts are very sweet and friendly ,I only wish we could of stayed longer I’m sure we could of become good friends , The apt location is near everything you want to see , we highly recommend this place not only for the 5* rate but the location will give you the total Cuban/Havana experience. We loved everything..

The apartment is very charming. The building is with lift. I highly recommneded. There is no mosquito and no old city smell, while comparing with "CASA". The room with additional sofa bed is completely renovated (including the bathroom). Very functional and practical, thanks to the son and the daughter in law (architect and designer). Very comfortable. Nice shower. Can see Capitolio. Another room we stayed in the room with Balcony. Very spacous. The room is renovated, except the toilet. But same clean and comfortable. Both beds are not too hard, not too soft.
