We stayed in the annex. It was quite warm and street facing so could be noisy. But the bed was lovely and enormous!

The people at the hotel are amazing. We only really have two gripes. We were asked what time we wanted to check-in and stated 15:00. Granted, we were early in the hope of getting parked safely. We were asked to return at 14:45 when our room would be ready. On doing that we had to wait another 30-40 minutes anyway so turning up on time would have resulted in a wait.
The views were stunning from the balcony room but the room itself was a sauna, even without the heating on. The walls are a bit thin and didn't help when a neighbour had their bathroom fan running all night.
Apart from that, we had a lovely time, with amazing food. Was it worth what we paid? Probably not but overall a good time.

Visited with mum who is less mobile. Check in was lengthy due to only one person checking in and a big party of 10 checking in just before us. Breakfast is superb, great atmosphere in the pub on an evening.

Attic room was very very small and very hard to negotiate up a narrow staircase with suitcases. We looked at the menu but decided it was too expensive compared to a lot of places we had eaten in that week. We decided to go to the Indian Restaurant which was amazing. The shower in the bathroom had no means of fixture to the wall, at the dormer was so steep. The parking was limited so we had to park over in the public carpark for £10 for 24 hours

Nice room, bit noisy when they got a drinks delivery at 06:30

It was okay for our short break. Room definitely needed redecorating but it was clean and well serviced. The hairdryer flex was so short it was almost impossible to use.Breakfast was good ,plenty of choice and being able to sit outside, overlooking the harbour was pleasant. Staff helpful and attentive.
Car parking at the site wasn’t always available but we were reimbursed for parking at a nearby site

The room is tiny for two people in the cottage. There is only a small window facing a roof! It is a bit claustrophobic. There is no bath and the fire alarm was faulty one night and went off at 12:45 am and 6:25 am. Manager came one minute after it went off and disturbed our sleep. Parking is limited and we had to park in the public car park though was refunded with the charges.

The Bamburgh Castle Inn was a very nice place to stay. It is conveniently located right at the boat docks should you be taking a tour.
Clean, comfortable and convenient!

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Long waits to order food/drinks as they seemed understaffed.

First vosit to Seahouses found it a lovely place. The hotel was right on the harbour with lovely views out to sea from the raised patio garden. Excellent breakfast. A full lunch/dinner menu.

Booked our stay at Bamburgh Castle inn after a short notice decision to visit Bamburgh Castle.
We booked an economy double room as it stated, on the Expedia link, that it had a combined shower/bath and I fancied a bath to soak in after a busy day out exploring!! unfortunately it is actually either a shower or bath in the rooms and the one we were allocated was shower only, not a good start to our stay and only enhanced when the receptionist replied they were fully booked, after we tried to swap it.
The rooms were ok, beds really comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. We had reservations regarding the food having read multiple reviews. We had no such issues, my wife and I both dined in the evening and enjoyed the, “free” breakfast in the morning with no complaints.
The parking is a bit hit or miss and I would recommend, when booking, that you call the hotel as their website advises you to use the local carpark rather than the hotels however, there are 3 local car parks and 2 are locked in the evening.
Minor issues really and did not detract from a lovely overnight stay at Seahouses. Would I go again? Definitely, armed with the knowledge I now have.

Should listen to other reviews - great place for a drink, horrible place to stay. Our room was tiny and hot- no aircon… our window was facing a place where staff were smoking cigarettes, they were there pretty much all the time so couldn’t just open the window and curtains. We felt claustrophobic. This is for £204 - never again!

Lovely stay in centre of village . Room was comfy and spotless with all expected ammenites , Only snag was our view was a wall and not the gorgeous views offered elsewhere.
Breakfast was tasty but heads up its a hot / cold buffet . Car parking on site is practically impossible but main seahouses carpark just over the road at a cost of 10 pound for 24 hours . This we learnt could be refunded at hotel if you give in your ticket but as required parking up after leaving carpark was a hassel so chose not to do this .

Nice property, overlooking the sea and harbor. The front entrance isn't intuitively obvious, and there is limited parking, although a pay & display across the road is offered too. The rooms are reached through a series of corridors and it is up and down. The decor was dull and the room needs more lighting, especially the bathroom. Overall it felt like a guest house from 20 years ago. The food was average, breakfast being the worst selection of warm (not hot) food I've had for a long time. Reminded me a bit of Faulty Towers.

The first room we were given was totally unacceptable. We had to leave the hotel and enter the street and look for a black door - with paint peeling off it.
The window in the room was at street level with no privacy. Most of all, the room smelled of dampness and stale smoke.
In my opinion, this room should not be offered to anyone.
Fortunately, our complaint was sympathetically dealt with by staff at reception and we were offered a comfortable room.
Breakfast was good with friendly staff.

Was put in the annex. Walls are paper thin, could hear the conversation and the tv of next door room, even though they were talking quietly. No window in the room. Awful room.

Atmospheric. Food quality good. We had three rooms and one had a sewage problem which created a hygiene problem. Otherwise rooms OK.

Friendly and efficiently run waterside inn. Does not aim to be high end but warm and comfortable on a seriously bad weekend for weather. Wide choices on the menu and very good with Gluten Free.

Lovely hotel, room was spotless, very comfy and had everything needed. The bar in the evening had a lovely atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive and the location was perfect. Can't fault one single thing. I would most definitely recommend this hotel.

Thank God for the big open doors, beautiful view, but it let in air!! Mid September and our room was always too warm!! Had to sleep with the doors open (praying no creature wonders in) and the fan they provided. It was still not cool enough at night. The half glass shower door is utterly ridiculous!!! No matter how careful, the floor would be soaked. And it was printed that they know the step up and in tub is slippery, and if you need a safety mat, to request one. Seriously?! if it's a known danger, provide the mat anyways! We booked 2 rooms. Both ours and our friends had the same view, cost the same, however our room was tiny and bare minimum. Our friends was larger, better appointed and stylish. We paid the same, but our room was crap compared to theirs. Breakfast buffet was generous and good food. Tried the Pub food for dinner and wasn't impressed. Tried a restaurant in town the next night.

The hotel was perfectly acceptable and the staff went about their duties efficiently. But the friendliness that you look for was replaced by a businesslike approach. Thus, at reception as we were on the point of checking in we were given instructions about procedures at dinner and breakfast too rapidly for us to take in what was being said after a drive of a few hundred miles. The person doing this was evidently following instructions rather than thinking about the guests. This typified the general approach of staff throughout our stay.

Booked a 3 night stay in what was described as a budget room . The room we were given was directly above the kitchen so any chance of a peaceful nights sleep were gone . If it wasn’t the sound of the bottles being emptied into the bottle bank it was the delivery drivers clunking about. Then we were woken just after 6am by the kitchen staff talking on their phones .
The room was ok in it’s self , comfy but bathroom was in need of a good clean . Staff were good and food in the hotel was ok only the gluten free options were very limited.
Hotel was in a central place in Seahouses so great base for shops or walks along the coast .

Very pleasant situation, great views, good food, the only problem being too many stairs for this particular couple, and inability to take a proper shower because of the sloping ceiling! We did enjoy our stay, breakfast in particular was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We booked a two-night stay in one of the superior rooms with a balcony overlooking the beer garden and harbour. We found the room was quite clean and the views were very nice. I'm thankful to the staff for remembering my request for a fan for the room, as the weekend was quite warm! We ate breakfast both mornings and had dinner twice at the pub downstairs, and the meals were good, apart from the potato skins special, which was well over done and not very nice. A little more attention to the cleanliness would not go amiss in the pub area. I know it was busy, but the tables weren't as clean as they could be, and the menus themselves were sticky with spills for both evening meals. The staff were friendly, but I think they were spread a bit thin for such a busy weekend. Parking is extremely tight in their small car park, but a nearby public car park was reasonably priced at £6 for 24 hours. I was fortunate enough to get a parking space at the hotel for our second night. We walked out to the gunpowder house at the opposite end of the harbour to watch a stunning sunset over Bamburgh Castle, just a few miles to the northeast.

Hotel has great location but our room was small semi basement and poor value at £199 bed and breakfast for one night. Suggest you fully check room details with hotel before booking. On site parking limited and chaotic. Food adequate and staff ok but would never visit again.
4.0 / 10.0
The management of arrivals is poor. We were made to feel that we were an inconvenient distraction, as the reception of guests takes place in the Bar, where there were a large number of people waiting to be served drinks ahead of us. At checkout there was no one to confirm receipt of key.
Generally staff presented as disinterested and not engaged.
The room was reasonable, with somewhat dated decor. However there was no acoustic privacy - people walking past or climbing the adjacent stairs seemed to be in the room, extremely disturbing.
The cost of the room was simply not justified, the only redeeming features were, the view of the harbour and a reasonable level of cleanliness. In every other respect the stay was disappointing, and did not justify the cost of the room.

The car park is a reasonable size but if full there is a large one nearby which the BC will reimburse the fee .. well done !
The bar menu was unimpressive and a burger cost £16 ! And was tiny.
Breakfast was great. Room was clean and a good size.
