Rerurbed room with sea view, only issue was the sea view wasn't so clear as the windows were filthy but overall ok 👍

We could not use the wardrobe it was broken and damp. The shower had wires uncovered and was leaking. The sink taps were disgusting and there was a loose electric socket. Toilet door was broken no lock. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

I booked a budget single room but it was much better than I expected. If I'm in the area again I would certainly consider booking again.

If your using the hotel for the location to the open air theatre it's good walking distance and some lovely views over the sea however unless your amazing at parallel parking and have a tiny car then you'll struggle. The hotel is very dated the bed may as well have been a camp bed on the floor as the mattress was none existent and the room was red hot with no way of cooling it down. The shower was a trickle of water and took ages to get warm.

Had to ask for towel change and milk also toilet rolls otherwise good

We stayed at the Delmont whist visiting Scarborough. The we stayed in a budget double room Room was clean tidy , bed comfy and bedding really soft. Fit for purpose. Staff friendly and approachable and a well stocked bar with reasonable priced drinks. The location is great with a 5 minute walk into the centre beach across the road and 15 minute walk to the open air theatre. Our only negative was we felt the breakfast was overpriced for what was offered. But over all great stay will definitely be back !

Friendly staff , good location closer to both bays , room dated curtains need fixed as handing off allowing to much light , bathroom clean but electric shower not great and grommets/washers need replaced as water spraying out hose and no shower gel , TV good , beds not comfy , I did not have anything to eat .

bedrooms dirty and very dated.....

First off the pros - It is dog friendly which was our main need as we were bringning our 2 old girls with us so it ticked that box. Location was fine too to get to the town centre or the North Bay amenities. Now the bad bits - Got into the room at 3pm and the central heating was on full blast and the room was absolutely baking hot butr went off later in the afternoon and was not on again even through the night or in the morning, surely that should be the other way round?. The bed was obviously really cheap as it was very low to the ground and as soon as i sat on it the slats gave way as the wafer thin mattress could not hold weight, i'm not the smallest of blokes but i would expect a bed to be of a certain standard in a hotel, i reported it and to be fair it was fixed by the time i returned although i didn't chance it and only got on when i was literally falling asleep and tried my hardest not to move, i even put 2 spare pillows under the mattress for extra support. There were scratches all over the paintwork and furniture, the toilet felt like it was going to fall through the floor or crumble, there was what seemed to be a random piece of plastic attaching it to the wall, the basin chipped, the taps were rusty, the hot water was tepid at best including the shower, the carpets were stained, the floor was creaky and uneven and to top it off we had a bag go missing from our room despite staff knowing nothing about it. Clearly there is no care in this place, won't be returning.

Nice location with views of bay and castle. Room is a little old and shabby but generally clean and comfortable. Nightly entertainment was very loud in my room from 8:30-11. When I raised it with staff they said they’d try to move me. I didn’t get round to following up on it. If they’re going to play music directly under guests’ rooms they need proper sound proofing. People expect peace and quiet.

Lovely stay at last minute. Room we had appeared to have been refurbished recently and nice to stay. Only thing was no cups in room for tea making facilities and probably could do with changing the mattresses as feeling a bit old. But would stay again. Loved the old style lift as well.

Nice location overlooking the beachfront. Rooms a bit small but adequate for a couple of nights. Nice bar area. We didn't eat in the hotel. Overall pleased with our choice.

Very disappointing room, not as the photos advertised on the website. Clean but very dated looked like it had not been refurbished since the 80's. Separate toilet to hand basin which was in with the tiny shower room, so you had to actually come out of the toilet to wash your hands. Pink toilet with toilet seat that did not match. Rough plaster on walls and very poorly decorated. Certainly not worth the £130 that we paid for the night. Bought this as a birthday treat for my husband as we had booked tickets to see a concert at Scarborough's open air theatre but very disappointed with the room. I have tried to complain via email but not had a response at all from the hotel. If trying to cash in to cash in on people visiting for the concerts they have a long way to go if wanting people to recommend their accommodation. People will just not put up with this kind of qulaity any more.

Not value for money at all in common sense.

Seaview good hotel very dated and old

Hotel with great views over the north beach, albeit with some what of a steep gradient hill to get down there and back. Nice rooms and restaurant and friendly staff

Lovely view and lovely garden. Reception staff very friendly. Curtains falling down - some curtain hooks would make all the difference to the ambience of the bedroom. Shower not up to much.
