This is not a five-star resort by any stretch of the imagination. What you get for your money: a stellar, five-star view at a unique property with solid 3.5-star service, food, and iffy air con. For instance, during my stay, my room never cooled above 27c/80f. I spoke to the front desk about this numerous times over several days and nothing could really be done - I was welcome to change rooms, but given that it's an eco resort, they don't have the air con power of other kinds of hotels. This stay was the most expensive part of my trip - it's frustrating to pay so much and not be able to sleep because the hotel can't properly cool the rooms. And despite the issue with the air conditioning (and the plunge pool leaking all over the terrace), nothing was adjusted on my bill, not even a free drink. As for the rest of the property, the main pool is lovely, if small. The restaurant is fine but the dishes are overly complex and the menu is fairly limited. The restaurant staff, however, are excellent and very kind.

This hotel is the best place to go for calmness and an escape of life. The staff were friendly and always provided a professional approach. The food at the restaurant was excellent and our room was just perfect. I would recommend a car hire if you stay here. It’s out of the way of anything walkable and therefore if you plan to leave the hotel then a car is a must including popping to the local supermarket. I found for a five star hotel, having extras would be good such as the mini bar for the price you pay. €5 for a small Coke and a €10 charge for room service seemed a little steep. The restaurant isn’t the cheapest but well worth the money. Breakfast was excellent, a choice from the menu and buffet so awesome choice. We booked in to play tennis which was great. The gym is 24/7 but very limited in terms of equipment. As someone who goes to the gym regularly, I found that it was quite low level in terms of equipment. The only other negative would be the day we were due to check out our pool was emptied. We check out at 12:00hrs as our flight wasn’t until 23:00hrs so wanted to make the most of our private pool. However having woken up early, we found our pool to be emptied only for it to be filled by the time we had to check out. I would definitely come back here for the calm and the excellent service you receive here.

Amazing place with unbelievable views, spa and service.

This place is somewhat in a league of its own. Incredibly stylish with beautiful rooms which come with their own sitting area and pool. The whole feeling of the report is of calm and relaxation. The food in the restaurants is excellent, the service is great and the gym facilities spotless and stylish. On top of this the staff are the nicest and most attentive (if you require) of anywhere we have been. I cannot recommend Acro enough and really hope to return soon.

Location is unbeatable. Facilities are modern and clean. Staff are very professional. Food kind of limited and selective but might appeal to most clientile.

Can not describe the incredible experience at Acro Suites. The calming pleasant staff pamper you and make sure you have everything you need. There are no words to describe the beauty of this resort. The food is outstanding. There is no reason to leave the resort as it is a complete place for relaxation. If you want to venture out, they have a book at the reception area and will set it all up for you and at a very affordable price. Do not waste your time trying to prebook through anywhere else. I would live here if I could.

We had an amazing time. We stayed here on our honeymoon and we booked the cave suite. Couldn’t be happier with how it went. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Not all 5-star hotels are the same. I have stayed at other 5-star hotels including in Crete. I think Acro is above and beyond a 5-star hotel because it is unique and outstanding. Acro Wellness Suites is just Exceptional! My stay at Acro for about a week from June 11-June 18th was above and beyond my expectations; it was a wonderful and great experience. My stay felt like a month rather than a week because I was enjoying every moment. The hospitality and service was awesome. The outdoor views from my suite and outside of Acro are breathtaking! All the staff at Acro are friendly, courteous, kind and they always made me feel like one of their own and my stay comfortable like home except with a much much better experience because they are always at your disposal. The staff and my stay at Acro made my visit to Crete worth it and memorable by making it much more fun, friendly, and enjoyable. Whenever I needed something or a special request, I enjoyed and loved communicating with the reception staff without picking up the suite phone--if you stay at Acro, you will find out what I mean.....). I'm divorced and, if I get married again, I will do my honeymoon at Acro. I have no complaints because I was always happy at Acro. Once again, thank you Acro and to all the wonderful staff for a great and memorable experience. I can't wait to come back again!

This might have been one of the best stays I’ve ever experienced at a hotel….every detail was thought of. I’ll definitely be back!

The staff is great and will try to accommodate, however the location is pretty remote. There is limited food options as you can only eat what available in the resort's menu. You have to pay for all food and drinks, including water.

The Acro suite is amazing place, the view is gorgeous, very quiet, everyone is very welcoming, and they work so well as a teach. This is a very nice place for someone who wants peace and quiet, wants to get away from everything and take a break. 10/10

Acro staff and facilities were exceptional! We loved our 5 night stay. The rooms are private, all with full sea view & excellent design features. Breakfast each day was great with plenty of options. All staff were very kind and attentive. Like everywhere in Greece, coffee isn’t great. We’d recommend an expresso with hot milk on the side (took 3 days to figure this out !). We only had one evening meal in the restaurant and didn’t enjoy. Over priced ($12 AU for water that is free in your room / meals $50 and very salty food). You will need to hire a car, as it’s about 30 mins from the airport, though handy as you need a car for all day trips anyway. Overall excellent value for a luxury resort.

Beautiful nice property

The most magnificent hotel! Very well designed and thought throught every little detail. Staff was extremely polite and helpfull. The view is once in a lifetime must experience! Very private and extremely good for couples.

This place was amazing! Definitely the nicest lodging I have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Gaia suite which had an infinity pool that overlooked the ocean directly off of the cliff. The staff was incredibly nice and helped with anything we needed. The only downside I can even think of is that the food and drinks were expensive, but it makes sense for a place as nice as Acro. However, On our way out, they gave us a free lunch box with a sandwich and fruit - so thoughtful! We also did a couples massage and I was disappointed to find out that we couldn’t use the bathhouse after. I can’t wait to come back to Crete someday and will definitely stay here!
