James and Rebecca have thought of everything you would need to have a relaxing family trip. The house is not only well equipped with everything you would think of needing, it is also so very cute!!!
There are board games, rock painting, outdoor sitting area, grill, beach chairs, a block walk to a small quiet beach, bicycles, quiet neighborhood, all the kitchen items one could need, and so much more.
The bunk room is very roomy, the entire house is clean and makes you feel right at home.
The house is located in a great location and a short drive to many of the area attractions.
I really can not say enough about how much we enjoyed our trip and a large part of that was because of the care that James and Rebecca put into the house and the thoughtfulness they have for their guest.
The only negative is that the house was so well equipped for families that I wished my husband and I could have stayed here when our kids were younger, I can only imagine the memories we could have made. That being said, it was great for just the two of us as well.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this cottage. They have electronic air purifiers in each room and the entire cottage was exceptionally clean. We would recommend this property to a family of 4 to 5.

This was a short getaway for our family and the cottage was perfect for us. Our kids enjoyed the private beach & playground and then we had full day at Cedar Point and a full day at Nickel Plate Beach.

Our stay was great! Not many places meet my expectations for cleanliness, but this home did. Our children loved the sidewalk chalk and rock painting. Very pretty view from the private beach.

We stayed for a week for my daughter’s dance competition and so glad we chose this cottage! Very homey, very clean, had everything we needed! Had toys, books, movies, and crafts for the kids to do as well as all the kid dishes you could need. Absolutely wonderful! And communication with the owners and check in/out was super easy and convenient. Would definitely recommend!!

This is the first time as an adult with my daughters that we were able to go on vacation. It was their first time at cedar point & riding roller coasters. EVERYTHING was PERFECT. Cleanliness, location & atmosphere exceeded all of our expectations!
My 12yr old & I loved painting rocks. My oldest is 18 & very much to my surprise she was not upset at all about no Wi-Fi. In the evenings we walked to the pier to watch the beautiful sunset. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
So thankful to have had this opportunity to make these beautiful memories!

We found the home to be extremely clean and absolutely charming! Every inch was well thought out & beautifully decorated! Although on the small side, it was sooo nice to come back to after a long day at the ball park. The only concern was a lack of wifi/cable. The owner does have a large supply of dvd’s to watch however. We will be back!

We love staying here. The cottage is exactly as described, with spot-on decor, efficient use of space, and practical amenities indoors and out. The owners are friendly and helpful, even letting us know where the crawl space was during a storm. We are excited to go back a third year.

This VRBO offers a lot of great little touches including corn hole, rock painting, bikes and beach chairs. The cottage inlcuded a lot of notes on what was going on around the area and exactly how to get the best out of your stay. We mostly enjoyed the front porch when we were back from the park. Great place to stay! Also the owners were close by and easy to get ahold of!

Fabulous stay! Beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything you may need and then some. Fresh mint on the porch, a beautiful wildflower and mint flower arrangement in the kitchen, personalized letter board, little touches for the kids all over. We made fabulous memories and can't wait to stay again. Also, the best location. Kudos to the hostess' with the mostest!

AMAZING!!!! The house was so cozy, everything you would need to stay! Sweet neighborhood and neighbors. The home is so clean and neat. Decorated beautifully! Comfortable bed and soft bedding. If you are looking for a family setting with a fire pit, yard games, an amazing covered porch with activities for everyone this is the home you should chose! You will not regret it! 1 block away is the beach, we went every night to watch the sun set. They provided a beach wagon and chairs. We are already planning on returning next year! I can’t thank the owners enough!!

We had a wonderful stay in Huron! It was perfect for our family of 6. We had lots of fun at Cedar Point the first day. Then we enjoyed the beach the second day. The front porch was so relaxing and all the decorations were lovely. We all enjoyed painting some rocks to leave and our kids loved playing croquet. We will be back!

Clean, comfortable and so cute! Every detail was looked after from personalized welcome sign, fresh flowers & snacks to a fully stocked kitchen clean porch with seating. Tons of towels, toiletries were a perk. Excellent communication with property management LOVED this house! A+

Soul's Anchor was a perfect lake cottage for our Labor Day weekend getaway. The owners really have thought of everything you might need including beach towels, a wagon for pulling all your gear to the water, and lots of fun outdoor games (badminton, corn hole, etc.). They turned on the porch lights since we checked in after dark, and when we arrived there was a snack bag waiting for us...a huge plus with kids! The house was impeccably clean and cozy. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

Our three kids loved this house and didn't miss the internet at all. It was a short drive to Cedar Point, plus there was a playground and small beach just 2 blocks away. The fire pit and yard games were lots of fun. The owner makes the most of every inch of space. We were very comfortable here and appreciated the notes about dinner and music nearby.

This property was perfect in every way. It was close to Cedar Point, restaurants and shopping but tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of traffic. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The front porch was a nice place to sit and enjoy the evenings. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean and thoughtfully set up, with clearly labeled amenities (like extra sheets), and safety measures like carbon monoxide detector and emergency information readily available. The porch was a great option to eat with a table the kids could sit at, and we were delighted so many entertainment items were provided (sand toys, bean bag toss, etc.) Not having internet was the most prominent con, but we made it work! Thank you for opening this lovely house!

This place was perfect for my young family! The place is exactly as described and the covered porch was a huge hit for meal times and a place to watch the rain. We were just about 15 minutes to cedar point and a 2 minute walk to the little park and beach. We will definitely be back!

This is an amazing cottage in Huron, about 15 minutes from Cedar Point. The cottage appears to have been recently remodeled, and it is very modern and beautiful. The cottage is stocked with everything you could want for a vacation rental. James and Rebecca even provided some snacks, some refreshments in the refrigerator, and popsicles in the freezer! If you are visiting Cedar Point, this is a terrific place to stay. I think this would also be a great place to stay if you live in Ohio and wanted a nice weekend retreat. I highly recommend.

Perfect Stay!
Our family really enjoyed our stay at the lovely Soul's Anchor Cottage! It is in a quiet, little neighborhood, within a couple minutes walk to a small Lake Erie beach, park and playground. Convenient location with many attractions nearby. Great for families, with bunk beds, toys, books and games. It is very clean, and recently updated with adorable, cozy, beachy decor.
James & Rebecca were responsive and accommodating, and really thought of everything! Well equipped with all you will need and all the extras! Complete with welcome snacks, drinks, extra linens, beach towels, and a fire pit, to a well-equipped kitchen including dishes, utensils, paper products, and even fresh flowers, popsicle molds, and a boo boo bag.! On the chalkboard are good recommendations for local restaurants and adventures. We enjoyed the welcoming, cozy front porch / patio area, which has beautiful landscaping, comfy seating and is perfect for outdoor dining, playing games or just relaxing. Highly Recommend!
