Great stay, good location, but only “one” thing. The two rooms we booked were not friendly for the elderly and those with mobility issues. If you do not have any physical limitations, then I recommend this hotel.

The condition of the room was bad. The fridge was broken. The wifi was extremely slow. And the bathroom was terrible. There was a chunk of rotting fruit covered in insects in the bathroom. It felt like the whole place is suffering from Covid apathy syndrome. No customers so no desire to do it properly. Would not stay again. I hope the owners can get their mojo back.

Room was a good size and nice interior, had a nice balcony.
However, the hotel definitely have been affected by covid.
No welcome drink, no bar, no breakfast or restaurant, pool area isn’t maintained, safe didn’t work. The pictures are not accurate anymore. Had a power cut twice, but was quickly fixed.
Staff spoke very restrictive English but was nice.
But it was cheap-ish and the room was good.

The location and facilities were good. There was no hot or warm water for the three days I was there - and despite being told to run the water longer it didn’t work. The front desk staff felt like a group of teenagers huddled around the front desk on their phones. It was hard to know who actually worked there. The restaurant was closed Saturday and Sunday for no apparent reason. I chose this based on reviews and was disappointed. Housekeeping ladies were lovely!

not a newer hotel. but nice enough for a few days. big room, good hot water, real nice bathtub includes shower, nice balcony. good free breakfast, you choose from their menu, 3-4 choices. only drawback and that was huge for me, was the wifi was unacceptable. mentioned the wifi problem when checking out and the manager said they were working on it and it would be fixed soon.

Only had a couple nights here but was nice and a good location for the main tourist sites and evening restaurants.Staff helped us sort out bus tickets to Siem Reap. We changed room because the AC in the first room was rubbish. Second room (identical) had good AC. Changing room was minimal hassle. I would happily stay here again.

got issue on surround noise everyday in the morning, no light in toilet, daily hot water needs to restart. But mostly been solved after request to staff

Monsoon Bassac is my new favorite hotel for work trips to Phnom Penh. Phenomenal price and location, close to the cozy bars and restaurants of Bassac Lane. My room had a stylish, whimsical design with a little balcony overlooking the city and a soaking stone bathtub (Deluxe Balcony). Next time I'll go for the Premium Double with Balcony for the wall of windows. There's also a pool on the 7th floor for Phnom Penh heat relief and a decent restaurant/bar downstairs. I'll definitely be back!

Nice quiet hotel, with the added bonus of a swimming pool on the roof, great for an early morning dip. I had an inside room with no windows which meant I could lie in and not be bothered by the light. Room and bed really good. Food not bad. Area quiet.

Lovely industrial decor and clean simple rooms, restaurant downstairs was reasonable and nicely priced with helpful polite staff and security, great little pool and sun lounge area! everything I could ask for with my stay in the capital

There's usually not a balcony or a bathtub in a hotel room at this price (30€) so we were plesantly surprised. Surrounding is a bit noisy and the building is so openly built that you can hear street noise clearly in the room. Hotel restaurant is not worth visiting.

Great hotel with nice breakfasts, good WiFi and helpful staff especially French manager. Beds were very comfortable and hot showers.
Location is good for lots of restaurants nearby and shopping, plus short walk to Royal Palace.

his hotel is very nice. The room is great, perfect bed, and a very nice bathtub. Everything is clean and the staff is very helpful. The reason I will stay only stay here is because I cut my leg (no fault from the hotel) very badly requiring 10 stitches. The hotel owner got me to a good medical clinic and stayed the whole time while I was getting stiches, made sure they didn't rip me off, and then helped me pay for the bill and drove me and my gf back to the hotel. I highly recommend only staying in this hotel in Phnom Penh, if for nothing else you will know you will be safe in an emergency. I can't speak highly enough of this hotel.

Hotel was close to a lot of the main places to go with a nice tasteful room. The staff were very friendly and we got a great tut tut driver from the hotel that took us anywhere we wanted to go. Really close to great places to eat and drink.

Nicely snuggled off the main road and simply a walk away from Independence Monument & main centre. Surrounded by restaurants and shops. It was also quite convenient starting point to navigate way around the city as I was on a business trip and found it easy to get to meetings venue. The staff were excellent - always helpful & attentive to my needs/requests. Room was clean and rather cosy w a balcony to view street life as one unwind for the day.
