Great location and easy to find. Good size property for a short stay, especially master bedroom.
Images are much more vivid than reality. As others have said the property has huge potential if the carpets were replaced, the wallpaper lining was not hanging off in places, the missing part of the twin bed was replaced, the bed sheet in the master bedroom fitted properly so it didn’t keep
coming off during the night, and mould wasn’t appearing around windows/shower unit. Felt more like a student house!
We contacted the property during our stay as we couldn’t find the listed hairdryer and got a response 4 hours later. Still no sign of a hairdryer when we left!
This house is managed by a property management company which was a very different experience to other properties we have stayed at in Skipton. Less personal - no property guide, information on things to do in the area/places to eat etc. It was also much more expensive than the other places we have stayed at before.

Good location with free parking outside. Spacious and it’s handy having more space when travelling with a friend. Beds were clean and comfy.
The place could do with being refreshed/redecorated. It’s very basic and lots of things in the house are damaged/broken or need replaced due to wear and tear. For example there was a bit of wood hanging off the end of one of the single beds, the mastic seal around the shower is mouldy, the blind in the bathroom was broken, and the carpet is very grubby and worn and has a funky smell. There were also lots of dead blue bottles and a dead wasp around the window on the stairs, plus a couple of live flies, when I first went in the property. I had to clean these all up. The carpet clearly needed a good hoover generally. It was pretty clear that no one had checked the property ahead of my checking in.

Great location at a good price.
We received an e-mail requesting we consider our usage of the utilities, which is perfectly understandable with the current conditions, however there are issues within the property that need to be addressed to support this. The door from the seating area to upstairs did not close or have a handle, rectifying this would have an immediate impact on the usage of utilities.

Relaxing clean well equipped, fantastic location for us no need to use the car, minutes from the train station, shops the castle walks and the Xmas market
Nothing we didn't like, just a couple of throws would be good very drafty however it's December and snow

Nice and cosy place. Very clean. It is on the quite street, so you can have good night sleep, and yet only 10 minutes walk from town centre, full of shops, restaurants and lovely canals.

Parking is on the narrow street but the location is very good, just a short 10 minute walk to town centre. Reasonably well equipped terraced house and a fairly quiet location. Bathroom and shower were adequate.
Main bedroom bed was a little too soft, but for 2 nights was acceptable. Only one toilet in bathroom, so for 4 people a bit limiting, but it was ok for 2 nights.

10 minute walk to the Town Centre. Small enclosed courtyard at the rear of the property could be useful if comfortable furniture were provided. On Street parking was difficult as there were very few available spaces so we tended to venture out into the Dales during the day and get the car back before 5pm to ensure a space. Easy walk to local supermarket. There are some damp problems in the property, notably black mould to the bathroom ceiling above the window and damp inside cupboards in the ground floor living room, damp damage to ground floor skirting boards. Beds were too soft for our preference but otherwise clean, great if you prefer a soft cosy bed. Carpets showing signs of wear and tear and particularly the stairs which could do with either a shampoo or replacement. We did not use the kitchen facilities but it all appeared clean and fully equipped. Bathroom seems to have been recently refitted with deep bath and good size walk in shower. Overall a clean and comfortable base for exploring the Dales, but some updating would enhance the property further. Reasonable value for Skipton.
Carpets could do with a shampoo or replacement. Some seating for the outside courtyard would be welcome. Attention to damp in bathroom and ground floor.

lovely family holiday home and very inviting, with a homely feel.
there were quite a few unfinished little jobs. the side of bath wasn’t finished properly and was half stuck out. there was paint flaking in a few area. The cold tap wasn’t working on the bath. It also said there was a washing machine at the house but when we arrived there wasn’t.

Advertised with facilities including washing machine and clothes dryer which didn't exist. Attempted twice to contact owner's agent without success.

Excellent location for the town and its amenities.
Lovely quiet street and pleasant courtyard.
Big white fluffy bath towels.
Great WiFi.
Could have done with instructions on re-cycling/rubbish as we weren't sure where to put everything. Ended up leaving it in the kitchen but felt really bad doing this...sorry.
These aren't really 'not likes' but maybe helpful for others:
*Parking was a bit difficult when we arrived so had to park round the corner on a different street. Managed to park outside the cottage the next day. Not a great problem for us but others might not be happy parking elsewhere.
*We couldn't get the oven to work but it wasn't a problem for us as we took food to cook on the hob.
*Steep stairs - not a problem for us but could be for others.

great location close to the bottom of the high street, so no need for taxis, even with one of my parents who does struggle to walk over a short distance. property was immaculately clean and spacious, nice outdoor area with seating too. host was great and responded to messages quickly throughout our stay

Super comfy beds and had everything we needed. High quality linen and towels. Great location and easy parking right outside the door.

Need some foam under the stair ceiling as you first walk into the back door you hit your head.

The location was good and the property was very well furnished and tastefully decorated
They call it a cottage, but it is a mid terraced house

Property was very cosy, comfortable and convenient for shopping also near the town centre.
we really enjoyed our stay.
Just for your information:
Oven is not working, we prepared our Xmas dinner but didn’t have it that was disappointing.
In the main bedroom mattress has a few springs popping out which made a painful sleep and the door handle is extremely noisy meaning the baby would wake up every time we opened the door and shower gel compartment was empty.

Great location - excellent for visiting Dales (Malham Cove etc) and we also took a train from Harrogate to visit York for one day, generally everything what you'd expect, easy access to town, great selection of antique books on the shelves, clean bedding, on street parking, cute little backyard, wifi, nice cottage in general
a bit smaller than appeared on photos, a little expensive for what it is (presuming the company maintaining it is taking a good chunk!) oven didn't work for us and it needs a little TLC, booked for 5 but only 4 mugs/bowls etc, and extra bed was a fold out - but might have missed it in description. It really could be a much nicer property, great potential here! also needs more comfy seating for the evenings as sofas way too small for 5 people, but we were mostly outdoors. Loved Dales.
