This was the absolute perfect overnight stay in Cebu. The hotel is incredibly clean and well-equipped, the staff were attentive and constantly catering to our needs, and the room itself was comfortable and spacious. There is a lovely pool and also a rooftop area which provides great views over Mactan Island. We also tried the massage service during our stay and can't speak highly enough of it, just a fabulous experience.

The hotel restaurant and bar is expensive for what you get and the price they ask airport transfer is very steep; we ended up taking a taxi which was less than a fifth of the cost. Also, this hotel is located on Mactan Island, so if you want to explore Cebu, you'd be better off staying somewhere else.

I had an incredible time at 1521, the staff was awesome and so accommodating, and the rooms actually looked like the pictures online … which is rare 😂 and the pool are was super relaxing.

Location, location, location is close to the airport but not much else.

The breakfast was excellent. The location of the hotel was one of the primary reasons why I chose to stay at 1521. I had an early morning flight at Cebu-Mactan International to return home to the USA. The hotel had good reviews at Booking.com so that had a big weight on why I chose 1521 Hotel over other nearby hotels in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

I wish the 1521 Hotel could offer in the future some oatmeal as another option for the breakfast menu. Having oatmeal for breakfast is a viable and logical choice for health conscious travelers like myself.

Even though the hotel is on a main road without restaurants or bars nearby, it compensates with a great rooftop and a complimentary shuttle to a private beautiful lounging cabanas area with a pool by the beach with dinner being delivered at your choice. The hotel itself has a nice small pool and restaurant which is opened throughout the day. Staff is helpful and friendly, from check in to cleaningness all was done well. Good proximity to the airport which is 15mins drive away. This hotel is good for 1 or 2 night stay. The hotel is very nicely decorated, from Joey’s restaurant to the rooms which are clean large and has all what one needs. A very good value for a 2-star hotel. Overall great service, friendly team.

I felt the breakfast was the weak point of the hotel. As there are no restaurants nearby Joey’s restaurant could do better, especially at breakfast. Tried both the buffet and served one breakfast, it’s tricky to cater to both western and Filipino breakfast but still I think there’s room for improvement and some creativity. Dinner had good choices and well served. Lastly I wanted a slice of carrot cake but I had to buy the whole loaf which was fine yet when I asked for a slice a thin slice given, heated, I’ve asked for another thick slice unheated but got two thin slices heated. A good cake yet way too oily.

Very clean, new, comfortable room with modern elements like USB plugs near the bed and LED bathroom mirror. Nice shower. Fluffy towels. King bed is huge. Near airport and great for one night before or after flight. Small but tasty breakfast. Excellent food in restaurant. Don't skip the chocolate souffle for only 150 pesos and big enough for two.

Prices much too high. Most restaurant food is especially expensive. 550 pesos for a burger. VAT and service charges added. Location is isolated.

Morning staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and seemed to be updated. The score would be lower if not for the very friendly and helpful morning staff. They apologized for the miscommunication for breakfast and got me a taxi to the airport.

Evening staff was not very clear on room service or breakfast. TV was a smart TV with no connection to cable on YouTube and some earlier guests Netflix account. I ended up missing my breakfast and if not for the previous family I wouldn't have anything to watch.

The food was first class and Jo the cook can stand with any Chef. The staff were GENUINE,, and there's no amount of professionalism can match that.

poor breakfast. I ordered a plain croissant and they brought me a huge pan ai chocolate which i did not want. it took 20 minutes to get my breakfast. They say coffee is included but they charged extra for a cappuccino. Gym is very small, just 3 cardio machines that’s all. The water pressure in my room, I had to wash my tooth with water drops .

Clean rooms, nice interior and very kind and helpful staff! With transport not too far of the airport (+-20 min) The food in the restaurant was well presented, tasted very good and of high quality! Compliments to the chef! Breakfast had to be chosen the day before, which could be good to reduce waste. Enjoyed my stay over here and will be recommending it to anyone travelling to Cebu :)

Nothing to complain about

The hotel is very close from Cebu Airport and it is brand new. The rooms are big and super comfortable. The restaurant is really nice. The hotel and the staff. A special thank you to the operation manager Riza.

The gym is really small and there are only 3 cardio machines. No bottle of water free. The check in time at the reception was too long, over 15 minutes to be able to check in. I was asked at what time i wish to have breakfast ( people are not supposed to have plans during a vacation and you should not ask this questions at all). I picked the continental breakfast and I wanted a croissant with bread , jam etc. I was waiting 20 minutes and waitress brought me a huge pan ai chocolate ( which i did not really want because i do not like chocolate). Breakfast is included but I was charged 180 pesos for a Cappuccino ( it’s coffee and milk so far, and it should be included in guest breakfast). Dinner was really tasty and good, but My stomach is sick now ( and my last 2 meals were both at this hotel and did not eat since breakfast ).

Utilized this hotel as a rest over waiting for our flight in Cebu. The location was great and was close by the airport. I experienced an electrical issue that the hotel staff quickly responded.

No issues were found during our short stay.
