Clean, comfortable room. Situated right on the main square, but room was quiet. No frills but great budget hostal. Excellent coffee and churros in cafe downstairs.

Good location, comfortable bed, hot shower.

Staff was not helpful when I didn't fully comprehend what was said. They were curt, short and disdainful with me. Whether it was because I was a pilgrim, a tourist or an American I don't know but they weren't going to take the time to be helpful. The waiter at the restaurant was similarly not interested in being helpful. They were busy so I understand the difficulty but if they don't like pilgrims, tourists, non Spanish speakers (My Spanish is pretty good) Americans or old white dudes then maybe they shouldn't cater to them and take their money.

Great cafe on ground level. Rooms are super cozy and very clean. Small but functional bathroom. Right on the Camino route.

I really liked the room for the price. Great location, lots of shops and restaurants close by, located right in the town square. Beds, shower, cleanliness and wifi all great.

I am usually very positive on the places we select to stay at and I have nothing but good things to say about the Linares Hostel where we stayed last night. On the back of the room door was a note “ when leaving the room leave the key in the Linares Cafe in the same building, no problem. At 8 am when cafe opened we were the first two people in the door to order coffee and breakfast, two women working at the bar area. We attempted to order coffee and toast at the bar as we always do but weee told to sit down and one of the two would come over to serve us? unfriendly two ladies. We sit down, waiting to either to come take our order. Two Spanish locals come in immediately behind us, order their coffee from the bar, get their coffee lots of smiles. Another Spanish couple come in and sit at the table beside us. One guess who the waitress comes over to take the order from…. a hint, it wasn’t us! We leave the keys on the table and leave. We then go along the Camino route about 200 meters to the Azores Cafe, wonderful lady, great coffee and croissants for breakfast. Thanks Azores Cafe, please support this place. We have been working on our Spanish constantly since 2016, there was no misunderstanding just rude disrespectful staff at the Cafe Linares.
