The staffs are super humble and authentic. What can you expect from a origins of their culture? It was nothing but a good vibe and karizma the surrounding brings. Food is great to be honest. The location is well attractive in the morning.

This is a cockroach infested hotel in the red light district used by the older men to entertain their prostitutes. The New Season Riverside Hotel is described as a modern property within walking distance of key attractions. Personally I would describe it as a out dated, run down, cockroach and infested flee pit located in the centre of the red light district which caters for elderly white men and their prostitutes (there is a notice in each room stating prostitutes are welcome as long as they sign in at reception and are not under age)! We were met by the owner who could not be bothered to welcome us or look up from his computer other than to demand our passport’s. The room was dirty with long black hairs everywhere, including on the sheets. We paid extra for a window. We got a window with glass but when we opened the dirty stained curtains we found the ‘window’ was bricked up on the outside. There was also no fridge or garden as described in the description on Booking.com. Throughout the night we had to listen to the other occupants entertaining their guests and rats running in the void between the ceiling and the floor above. As soon as we turned the lights out at night to get a good nights sleep we found our room (105 located directly above the hotel kitchen) was infested with cockroaches which crawled across the bed as we lay there. We photographed and caught several under glasses. There was no one on duty at night to complain to so we spent the whole night awake sat up in bed with the lights on keeping cockroaches off us. The following morning, when I complained about the window, no fridge, no garden and the cockroaches the manager just laughed. Later that morning I spoke directly to the owner who also laughed. When I insisted that it was not a laughing mater he started to shout at me and became threatening and aggressive. He made some excuse about the fault being with Booking.com who had overbooked his hotel.

Great value. Great location. Great service. Great amenities. The ground floor Indian restaurant a bonus. Excellent food at seriously good prices. All up delighted with the stay and will be back. Sunrise and sunsets from the balcony rooms stunning.

Hotel is old

That there was a lift to my floor. That the attached indian restaurant was quite good.

That you have difficulty leaving the 'hotel' during the night as the owner has locked the shutter door. In order to get in or out - you have awaken him, and put up with his bad mood. Very frustrating if you want to go out at night, or to exercise by going for an early morning run.

Some rooms have a river view but the hotel is right next to some abandoned buildings and in a seedy section of the city. However, this hotel is a "DEATH TRAP" in case of a fire.

STRONGLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS HOTEL Because this hotel is a "DEATH TRAP" in case of a fire. There is an Indian Restaurant downstairs cooking and the hotel owner pulls down a locked metal gate at night for security that prevents people from getting out to save themselves if there was ever a fire. Apparently, crime is so bad at this location that the owner from Nepal sleeps in a dirty cot on the floor downstairs guarding the locked hotel gate at night. There are abandoned buildings next door from businesses that closed as a result of COVID and loss of business. The rooms at this hotel are very old, not clean and contain damaged and worn furniture and dirty looking sheets and blankets. Also, housekeeping did not empty the trash and let it pile up so conditions were very unsanitary. Please see the attached photos. My room had a balcony with rattan chairs but they were unusable because pigeons roosted there at night and left wet bird droppings on the chairs and balcony floor and railing. Very gross. However, the pigeons made cooing sounds all day and all night. A little loud but maybe some guests will like the constant sound they make? When using the only elevator, I found myself in there with a thumb sized roach. As it scurried around in the elevator with me, I tried my best not to step on it. Travel adventure! Despite hanging a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, the hotel manager came into my room anyway when I was gone and turned off the air conditioner because he heard it still running. It took more than a day for the room to cool back down to below 31 deg C. He then complained to me that all guests need to turn off the air conditioner when they leave the room even for a few minutes. I booked 4 nights and left after 2 losing about $98 U.S. But better alive and in a better and more comfortable hotel in a better part of town with a polite hotel manager. Before COVID, this used to be a nice part of town but not anymore.

Nice place as in middle on pop stric, very neat by night market and Royal palace. Nice room, no any short. From out side look as normal but, very nice hotel and indian restaurant inside after into building. Clean and nice decoration, kind staffs. Recommended to everyone. Thanks 👍😊
