Very quiet,relaxing and not overlooked by other lodges. Hot tub was excellent

We just loved it.

The lodge was in a beautiful surroundings, we loved seeing the ducks and rabbits every day. The lodge was very clean and spacious. It had everything we could have possibly of needed and the bed was super comfortable! The hot tub was amazing and made our stay.

The property is far away from anything and you will need to drive. We found getting a taxi to get to dinner very hard so ended up ordering instead.

As a solo traveller the jacuzzi cover was a little bit awkward to remove on my own. I ended up just folding it in half and using one side at a time.

The lodge was very spacious, modern and comfortable. The hot tub was also lovely with lights. The lodge was always warm and cozy. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The hot tub only had one set of jets working so there wasn’t as many bubbles, etc.

Lovely lake views from the hot tub very relaxing at night. Nice and modern inside. Back decking area was private from view of other cabins. Owners very helpful and informative throughout our stay. There was a very detailed booklet including things to do in the local area such as pubs, restaurants, nice walks, nearby cities and towns and even beauty salons and cooking classes! Secluded area not near main roads or traffic. Site is very nicely kept. Our cabin was ready earlier than our check in time which is a plus.

Was very close to either a dog kennels or possible fox hunting area as we were woken up between 3 and 5 am by awful barking and screeching noises which lasted around 45 minutes. Radiators weren’t very good we had them all on full for our whole stay and the cabin only warmed up on our last day. Upon closer inspection the cabin was quite dusty there was a lot in the air and a lot settled in the sofa which we didn’t notice on arrival so maybe there was something in the cabin that hadn’t been cleaned and we disturbed it. Also the tv could do with an upgrade it’s very straining on the eyes from the sofa as it’s very small so not really good for anyone planning to stay in. It wasn’t as close to York as we thought it took us around 35 mins each way which is over an hour round trip so unfortunately we didn’t get to go into York every day which is what we were planning but we did have a little walk around Selby instead.
