An absolute dream VRBO experience from start to finish. Would full heartedly recommend to anyone who Was staying in the Amalfi coast but doesn’t want to be in the middle of the tourist action. The property is excellent and so is the host.

Our host went above and beyond organizing a private taxi, a last minute Pompeii tour and lunch. She was absolutely amazing. At the apartment she had everything for us from coffee, sugar, lemon water and fresh lemon sorbet. She obviously took everything into consideration when designing the apartment and loves what she does. The view is amazing. It is about a 30 min walk down about 1000 stairs to amalfi. We are still in pain but a few days of it and you should be used to it.

The cutest little place in the mountains, our host made the stay all worth it and so amazing. Perfect if you’re looking to get away from the touristy area and okay walking or taking the bus places. Also best lemon cello!!

The Owner Berengere is very organized with where to eat,visit while in Amalfi Coast, Salerno and along with directing us to do some good hiking. Very open to finding whatever your need to enjoy your time in Pontone. A must stay truly a 5 out of 5.

If you are looking to stay on the Amalfi coast, you need to consider renting this property. The apartment has everything you need and is very quiet and comfortable. Pontone is very quaint and you have restaurants within a few steps of the front door. And Berenge, the property owner is awesome. She met us when we arrived and gave us a sample of lemonade and lemon sorbet from the trees her family harvests. She provided us with a variety of recommendations and was extremely responsive to our questions. This was truly a great experience!!

We were very pleased with the property and the owner. Berengere was very accessible when we had a problem (I broke a tooth and lost my cell phone) and helped us resolve both issues quickly. Pontone is what you expect from a small Italian village and was very charming. The views from the apartment are spectacular and it is fully equipped. Every morning we went to the small shop less than 100 yards away to buy fresh pastries for breakfast. This was a great place to stay for our 5 days in the Amalfi area

This is a great unit thoroughly enjoyed it.Nestled up in the little village of Pantone it was fantastic . Several good restaurants in Pantone and a little shop to keep you in basic food . The unit is very clean and air conditioned ,no steps . The shuttle bus to Amalfi is a little bit unreliable . When we were there it was frequently full and we had to make other arrangements which meant walking down the road 15 minutes and catching another bus .I would not hesitate to recommend this villa .

As a family of three we had a wonderful holiday staying at " Lemon in the Air. " The flat is exactly like the photo's, clean, comfortable and modern. The views are incredible. Berengere, the owner, lives across the street from the flat and is very helpful and friendly. We were greeted on arrival by her with homemade Lemonade, lemon sorbet and fresh plums followed by a very interesting tour of the local square. Berengere has plenty of ideas and suggestions on places to eat and visit in and around the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it. High above in the hills of Amalfi and away from the busy tourism, you will find this lovely gem of a place. A day didn’t go by on our 1 week stay where we didn’t appreciate our lovely apartment, our host and the beautiful surroundings of Pontone. This is a must stay if you really want to embrace the culture and Italian way of life. We spent our time hiking during the day. Relaxing in the square and enjoying the people and witnessing the everyday life in the evening. This is a place where children play in the streets and the community celebrates and comes together as a whole. Berengere and her family were, well just perfect. Thank you. This visit will always hold a special place in our hearts ♥️

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our experience was Absolutely Fantastic. The apartment is very nicely decorated; recently renovated; extremely clean. We absolutely loved the place. The apartment is located in a small village only a 15 min drive to Amalfi. So you are away from all the noise & crowded areas yet close enough that you can go to Amalfi anytime. I highly recommend this place for anyone planning a vacation in the Amalfi area.

One of our best choices staying at Lemon in the air!!!! Beautiful apartment on top of the Amalfi coast!!!! Berengere is the sweetest guest! She greets you with lemonade and shows you all the best spots to hit!!! Driving on The Amalfi coast is not for everyone but driving to Berengere’s is well worth it!!!!!! Plenty of hiking to be done here. We hiked Pontone, Minuta, Scala, Ravello, Atrini and Amalfi all in one day. We will definitely stay here again!!!!!!

Berengere’s place is fantastic! Very easy communication and incredibly clean. Handmade lemonade was such a nice welcome. It is a great location as it’s an easy walk to Amalfi but you get out of the chaos and mass amount of tourists. She provided us with information about the area and different hikes/things to see. If we ever make it back we will definitely stay again. I highly recommend this property!

If you're looking for a unique experience outside of the hustle and fast pace of Amalfi this is an excellent spot. Be prepared to walk, but if you are it's totally worth it! Berengere was an excellent host providing insights and helping us plan our stay. The apartment is very well appointed and spotlessly clean.

This apartment is exceptional. The location between Amalfi and Ravello is wonderful and the compromise between hiking trails and touristie things in Ravello and Amalfi for us was perfect. The village of Pontone is very quiet but there are excellent restaurants, pointed out to us by Berengere who was trained as a professional concierge. This trading has led to an incredible renovation of this apartment with everything the modern day traveler could ask for. Fully stocked kitchen, washing machine, modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. The real key to it all however is Berengere who always seems to be close at hand if you need a suggestion of an activity or have a question. Lemon In the Air is a gem with spectacular views on the Amalfi Coast.

My daughter and I spent a week at Berengere's place. It was amazing. Sparkling clean, great hostess and nice and quiet location. Great hiking right from the apartment. Berengere is very helpful and always available if you need some help or info. We loved the place and it is a great location to explore the area on foot or by car. Don Giovanni Restaurant is a minute walk and has great local foods. There is a very nice restaurant in Ravello "Mimi". We had a great time and can only recommend "The Lemon in the Air!"!! Ha sido el mejor viaje de mi vida mi esposa y mi hija Valentina fuimos a pasar unos días en este hermoso lugar arriba en la parte de la montaña en la costa Amalfica el apartamento está ubicado en Pontine un lugar magnífico tranquilo donde su tremenda anfitriona nos dió un trato especial aparte de recibirnos con su profesionalismo nos ha indicado todas las cosas interesantes que hacer y todos los pueblos que se pueden visitar alrededor les recomiendo que visiten Ravello en la montaña y también que den su vueltecita por Amalfi bajen por por las más de 1500 gradas que lo llevan hasta Amalfi pasando entre montañas y lugares maravillosos donde se puede observar la naturaleza y saborear ese aroma mágico de la costa Amalfica, vamos a regresar pronto.

Berengere was a great host who provided a very cute and comfortable place. We stayes 3 nights while on the Almafi coast. Prior to our first visit to this coast. We were able to ask her several questions and she responded quickly. She also provides you with plenty of recommendation and great information about anything she knows ( hikes, water falls, capri, positano, ferries, ect...). Please keep in mind that everything runs small in Italy so if your looking for a house it's going to be hard to find. You will mostly find flats and hotels for rent. To be honest if your spending a lot of time couped up in your flat than your missing out. The only time we spent in this flat was to shower and sleep. Thanks again Berengere!

Myself and three other guests had a wonderful time in this apartment for two nights. The location was perfect for checking out Pontone, Amalfi and Ravello-all within hiking distance. The owner was amazing to work with - helping arrange transportation, info on hikes, and very quick to answer all questions via email or text. We would stay again and will recommend for friends.

Berengere could not have been more gracious or welcoming. She met us the minute we stepped off the bus, escorted us to Lemon in the Air, and poured us a cold glass of lemonade. She was more than happy to answer every question and even suggested the best itinerary for our stay in Pontone. We stayed with another couple and would highly recommend this beautiful apartment in the quaint village situated near Ravello, Amalfi and the other Amalfi Coast towns. We hope to return some day!

Set in the hills above Amalfi and a few twisty mountain miles below the scenic town of Ravello, the “Lemon in the air” apartment in the charming hamlet of Pontone was the perfect place to cap our two week holiday in Italy. The accommodations were superb and beautifully furnished, including a spacious kitchen fully equipped with new appliances, and two bedrooms with comfortable beds where we (my wife and I, and our adult son) were able to sleep peacefully after our day of trekking up and down the steps and paths of the Amalfi Coast. But the crème de la crème was our sweet and wonderful hostess, Berengere. She and her family live across the street so that she was always available to give suggestions for things to do and tips about how best to get around. Berengere was always friendly, always smiling, always ready to offer assistance. And yes, there was also the fresh lemonade she greeted us with on our arrival, the scrumptious figs picked from her garden, and, of course, her homemade Limoncello. As I said at the beginning of this review, it was perfect.

Berengère is the perfect host, accommodating and helpful in every way. The apartment is newly renovated and fully equipped with new and high end appliances, utensils and furniture. Everything you could possibly need and more. The bathrooms are lovely and the beds very comfortable. All in all a fabulous rental, highly recommended. It really is 5 star.

My husband, grandson, and I spent 9 days in this beautiful, comfortable apartment while we explored the Amalfi coast and I can honestly say I have never had a more pleasant or comfortable stay anywhere. The lovely Berengere welcomed us with cold lemonade and cookies when we arrived and helped to get us settled in with parking and an orientation of the apartment and the village. She also had many wonderful suggestions for things to do in Pontone as well as in other cities and towns along the coast. She and her family live across the street from the apartment; it was great to have a friendly neighbor close by. When we weren’t able to chat in person, we stayed in touch via WhatsApp and she was always very prompt to respond. Pontone is a lovely village full of lemon groves, ruins, and wonderful walking trails. It is also ideal base location as it a short drive to any city along the coast but without the noise, congestion, and prices of more well-known destinations. From Pontone, Amalfi is a short, scenic 25-min walk down the hill. From there you can catch a ferry (a great option if you don’t have a car or don’t want to hassle with parking), rent a scooter, find a bank, etc. or just enjoy exploring the beautiful city. Ravello, a five-minute drive up the hill, should not be missed. Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo in Ravello offer some of the most breath-taking views to be enjoyed on the coast. Berengere has also put together a wonderful binder containing detailed instructions for hiking trails, beaches, restaurants, and points of interest throughout the area. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated and has been recently renovated. The kitchen is very well-equipped including a washer and a dish washer and everything works very well. The shower fixtures will accommodate even the very tall but also feature a hand-held wand if perhaps you might not want to get your hair wet. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and double-paned windows keep the street noise out. The Wifi works well throughout and there are televisions mounted in the bedrooms and the kitchen. Our grandson was happy to be able to catch the World Cup highlights. The apartment was also spotlessly clean when we arrived and cleaned again every few days throughout our stay at our convenience. All in all, we could not have asked for more in a host, an accommodation, or a destination; Lemon in the Air has it all!

Bed were ver comfortable and bathrooms perfect The location is wonderful and Berenger was very kind and reachable at all times She gave us plenty of advice as to things to do in Costa Amalfitana I definitely recommend this place !!!!

Lemon in the Air is ideally situated high over the Amalfi Coast in the little town of Pontone. If you choose not to stay at some of the higher price towns in the area, you can still count on views of the sparkling Med and Ravello across the valley and, with a little walk, a downhill view of Amalfi, 1000 feet or so below. Both towns are within walking distance if you’ve come for exercise, but there are shorter and gentler walks available too. The area is ideal for hiking, but does require much of your trekking to be done in the vertical. The views are stunning and the apartment is immaculate, with the most functional kitchen we had on our trip. With two bathrooms and two bedrooms, it is ideal for two couples or a family, although frosted glass bathroom doors might require the truly modest to devise some screen. It should be noted that there was a small balcony off the living area to enjoy the views from, but only one of the bedrooms had a window and view, requiring some arm wrestling or other form of decision making. If you have a car, this is the place on the Amalfi Coast for you. We were able to park 100 yards from our front door for only 13 Euros/day. Berengere, our hostess, provided us keyless entry to the parking area, which allowed us access day or night. Given that the apartment was sleekly modern and that the views were incredible, it only leaves us to mention the service provided by Berengere. Living just across the street, she responded to any request quickly and with a smile, a true pleasure to work with. Additionally, she has an extensive knowledge of the area with suggestions for meals, hikes and other exciting activities. We are only sorry that we had just three days to spend here as it was one of the highlights of our six-week trip. There is a safe for your valuables, but the apartment has modern and very secure locking systems that can make even the most concerned feel very secure. If you are looking for sleek accommodations in a rustic setting, this is the place for you.

My husband and I had a wonderful holiday staying at "Lemon in the Air". The flat is beautifully decorated. The views are incredible. Bérangère, the owner, lives across the street from the flat and is very helpful and friendly. If you have any questions she responds within minutes by email. You can walk to the nearby towns of Amalfi, Scala and Ravello on the many (and I mean many) steps that join these little villages. We had a compact rental car and had no problem parking along the street. There is the Sita bus service that comes up to the village of Pontone, but the hours are limited. There is a good grocery store 5 minutes away by car. There are also many good restaurants in Ravello that are worth visiting. We were able to visit so many places from Pontone such as Naples, Pompeii, Vesuvius, and Paestum. There is incredible hiking paths in this area. We would definitely stay here again if we were to return to this area of Italy.
