The room itself was in good condition. Seemed clean overall. The bathroom could have been cleaner- dust on the floor, someone’s hair on the shower wall. But the real problem was not feeling safe. There is a police station right across the street but the doors to outside don’t actually lock. The door to the room only had a deadbolt as extra protection. It appears that they are doing upgrades maybe they just haven’t finished yet.

I was VERY frustrated that our room keys were not "programmed" for two days when we checked in. This caused a serious problem for me that Sunday afternoon! The room was kind of small for an accessible room.

The beds are supper comfortable. The rooms are very simple cozy feel. The staff was great and very easy check in/ check out process. This hotel is a definite stop for us again.

Our room was located next to the Janitorial room and we had an odor in the hall and in our room. The mattress needs to be replaced and the ice machine never worked. But, the pleasantry and care we received from the staff was amazing. If we asked for anything, we received it immediately and they never hesitated to acknowledge our presence.

The whole place smelled of sewage and mold. The hot and cold water was reversed. This place is more for those who are desperate or don’t care about sanitary conditions.

Microwave was broken; breakfast included waffles and bagels/bread (everything with gluten) and regular coffee. No fruit, no cereal, no milk, no juice, no decaf, no alternative options at all. Floors not clean in bathroom (long dark hairs on floor); air conditioner kept shutting off even though not set to auto or on timer. Had to unplug and reset almost every hour. Roaches in lobby. Only positives were kindness of staff. Will not stay there again. Too gross and run down.

That’s so much the pictures did not match. What the what the motel look like I’ll probably will not stay again because it was not that clean not even a place to hang the toilet paper.

I booked for non smoking room and was put in a smoking room. Room stank.

Reserved a non-smoking room. Tried to give us a smoking room that absolutely reeked of smoke. Hassle to get refunded.

This property is badly in need of updating and cleaning. Smoky, grimy, dirty. We had to change our initial room because our first room bathroom had not been cleaned and toilet was plugged with excrement. Fortunately, our 2nd room was the cleanest part of the property besides the lobby - but, that's not saying much. We had to stay because we arrived so late - if we would have been able to be there sooner, we would have left and chosen a different hotel. The Overland Park area is very nice - this hotel just isn't.

First off, the room was disgusting. No pillowcases. Poop on the bathtub. Horrible.
As if that wasn't bad enough, we were DOUBLE CHARGED. Even worse, that was iver a week ago and WE STILL HAVEN'T BEEN REFUNDED! We were charged be Expedia AND Econolodge. The front desk worker (Aria) was extraordinary rude and was talking down to my girlfriend in an extremely prejudice & condescending way on the phone. After being forced to drive an HOUR BACK TO THE HOTEL to confront Aria, he apologized perfusly and assured we would be refunded. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED - PLEASE FIX OR I WILL BE FORCED TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION.

Econo lodge is a good place for a short stay. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is decent. There seemed to be a lot of smoking going on in some of the rooms, and the smell was very heavy on the hallways.

Hallways very stinky dirty carpet even on the rooms , dirty sheets dirty pillows no hair dryer not even Locks on the door only one towel , when I went for breakfast it was nothing there expect some slice bread the food was good

Comparable to a Motel 6, yet $20 more expensive. The management is incapable and rude. I stay in hotels routinely, and I will not stay here again.

Had to get a room here due to a problem with another hotel. Overall it was basic but was clean and staff was great.

This hotel could use some TLC. Paint was peeling in our room, toilet paper holder was broken, ac was very loud, bed was uncomfortable and windows are single pane...... the frogs in the pond outside our room kept us up most of the night. Wouldn't recommend at the price they are charging!

I was hesitant originally as have not had great experience with Econo Lodge but this was a nice surprise. Keep in mind you’re laying getting it for rather cheap, but it was clean enough and I felt safe (which I don’t always). Plus great fast starts at 6am which is great if you’re just in town for a night.

The common areas smelled heavily of smoke. The location was convenient for us and felt more or less safe. Overall, the room wasn't very clean, but the bedding was fine. The AC worked well, but was very loud. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, but okay. I could hear lots of bumping around and slamming well into the night and early in the morning. Service wasn't outstanding, but they were nice enough. Pet fee was more than listed when I booked, but I went through a host site, so they may have just had the wrong information.

We were a little concerned when we saw the parking and lobby. The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke and the buffet area was so smell! But once we saw the room we were impressed.. clean and fresh smelling! But… there was no hot water in the shower only the sink! The AC was the best!
