Renovated older hotel, clean, good location, very friendly staff. Unique furnishing and decorations. Complimentary paddle board and bike rental. Coconut Grill attached to the hotel, Ponds restaurant 1min walk. We had great experience in both.
If we plan another trip to Hilo we would definitely chose this hotel again.

Older hotel conveniently located next to Hilo airport. Expensive for what you get. Rooms on the smaller side with cheap finishes. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful however. A buget hotel experience.

Unique accommodation, and the hotel as a whole took a bit of getting used to, but we generally liked the vibe. Our big complaint is the room quality and comfort and the noise. The location is convenient but right by the airport - so there can be VERY loud airplane noise intermittently day and night. There is also way too much light in the rooms for restful sleep. Each room has a bright exterior light that shines into the room since the blinds do not go all the way down. And if anyone gets up to use the bathroom and turns on the light, the whole room is flooded with light. The shower water pressure was excellent though - probably the best thing about the room. Pool was small but night. Pretty cold & dim.

Fantastic experience here! Loved the amenities! My brother and i used the free bikes and paddleboards. We got our complimentary kombucha. Fresh local fruit Friday morning. Live music Friday night. We were able to bike to our snorkel spot and walk our paddleboards to the water nearby. Staff was very helpful! Room needed some updates but everything worked.

The hotel offers a sustainable option for travelers who are concerned about reducing their carbon footprint. I love the idea, however beware that there is no elevator, so be prepared to log the luggage if you want a third floor room.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel, rooms and pool are on the smaller side, however the grounds are gorgeous and the hotel is very clean.

It was an ok placw to stay, i found the bed to be lumpy and the room with king sized bed to be small and spartan. It was newly renovated, rhe bathroom and shower were very! It has a deep pool thats nive for relaxing and two pelotons and weights in the workout room. The outdoor plants arrangements were beautiful and its walkable to a handful od restaurants and the park across the road.

Walk to water was 10 seconds. They have bikes and paddleboards avail for use. 4 eateries between 0 and 5 min away, that I saw. Easily accessible and i liked the layout.

Pros : The staff is very friendly. It's a 5-minute drive to Hilo downtown. There is a beautiful ocean right in front of the hotel. Spacious parking area (during mhy 6-day stay, there was never a lack of parking space). Frequent music performances in the lobby.
Cons : As an outdoor corridor-style hotel, it has worse soundproofing compared to typicalhotels. The showerhead is fixed and the water pressure isn't great. They don't provide new water bottles daily; instead, they direct you to use the water dispenser in the lobby, which is often out of order. The room is a bit on the darket side.

The hotel looks recently updated with an inviting lobby, pond, pool area, broad game room, lounging room, washer and dryer available. It has glass weranda type moving windows which are super cute and can be opened, but they open to the walk-ways so you can hear people. I am from the midwest and not used to this set-up. Super clean, bikes and paddle boards available for water across the street.Coffee and tea available free at desk. Restrauant next door was good. Wish we would be stayed more than 1 night.

Our room had clearly been updated recently, and the lobby area has been nicely redone, the grounds are fairly nice, but overall, the facility is still somewhat dated and shows it's age. Affordable lodging in Hawaii is a challenge, so this is a good stay for finding a clean, affordable room in a good location.

Enjoyed our stay, the frogs are loud at night but the hotel provided a white noise machine to help drown them out. Comfy beds, great staff. Love that they have paddleboards ans bikes for guests to use.
