This hotel is dated but the inclusion of the spa makes it a worthwhile place to stay in Grindelwald.
It needs to be modernised but it is pleasant enough, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the breakfast is excellent.

free access to sauna and hot tubs after a long day. Free breakfast was excellent and 5mins from the main train hub. only hitch was that the street had a block party on our 2nd night but the music was out by 11pm so still all good. Highly recommend this place!

Expected better for the price. Breakfast spread is less than impressive. Everything is self serve. Service could be better. Not very friendly. Property looks run down. At checkout you will be charged 5 francs if you lose the keycard. Never experienced this before.
Room was clean and the Mountain View was awesome. Made up for some of the shortfalls. 5 minute walk from train station is a plus/

Exceeded expectations at all levels. Location, staff, services etc, etc. We highly rec Spinne for couples and or families. Spa, garden view rooms and breakfast were first rate. Loved it entirely and plan to return in the future. Best on tour.

I stayed just one night but had a great experience. I was thrilled to find a room within my budget—a small, budget single room that was tiny but very cozy. The hotel was nice, and the location was excellent. It was a 10-minute walk from Grindelwald train station and just 5 minutes from the First Mountain tram.

I had great experience staying at Hotel Spinne. I was traveling solo, and the room for one person was perfect for me. The room was clean and spacious with a big patio and the view of Mount Eiger! The bathroom was a bit small but I had no problem with it. I also spent time at their spa after a long day of hiking, very relaxing! The location was also very convenient - in a walking distance from the train station, restaurants, and shops.

The property is well located on the Main Street and thankfully close to many restaurants as only breakfast was available on site. I travelled alone and did feel safe but would have appreciated extra security locks on the door. The walls are quite thin and the noise of people above my room came through quite clearly….. Not sure if they were in a room, the stairways or hallway though.

The only negative was the first night we spend, we heard other guests talking very loud at 1:30 am. I guess rooms are not well imsulated from sound, or the hotel should make clear sbout keeping silence after 10 pm

It is a very decent hotel in Grindelwald with few minutes walk to the gondola. We stayed in the mountain view room which can enjoy the amazing view right from the patio. The hotel is a bit old but very clean. The room has everything we need. The breakfast is great with lots of choices and also can enjoy the mountain view right at the restaurant. The infinity pool and hot tub is the highlight as well. We are family of 5 and enjoyed a lot staying in this hotel. Highly recommended.

From check-in to check-out, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful...Great Location right on the main road with an easy walk to anywhere.
We had a mountain view with balcony which was GREAT!!!
We did use the Spa pool (also amazing view!!!) which was perfect way to relax before going out for dinner.

When I say this hotel was AMAZING, I mean it. I did not want to leave. The views are breath taking, the rooms are a good size and very comfortable. I could stay in the spa area for hours, the quiet room was so peaceful, the sauna area was relaxing, there is a cold shower/pool area and hot tub in the same room as sauna. One of my favorite things was the infinity pool the views are beautiful, the water was a perfect temperature. The only thing I was not a fan of is having kids splashing around in the pool it does kind of take away from the serenity of it all. Regardless that would be the only negative thing I have to say about this place otherwise definitely a 10/10 stay.

Perfect stay at the Hotel Spinne! Central Grindelwald location, attentive staff, comfortable room and an amazing heated infinity pool at the foot of the Eiger. Delicious breakfast options. Would love to return.

What a hotel in the heart of Grindelwald, staff were excellent, location is excellent great rooms and the pool is amazing with the most amazing views.

Reception staff were not attentive to their guests at all. Complete opposite from our previous hotel stay. Staff were always on the computer in the back. You want to make your guests feel welcome. Servers at breakfast lack social skills. Just ask, what do you want. Wifi cuts out all the time. Loud noise at night from restaurant down below loud music that comes up. Would not go back.
