The staff were the nicest and friendliest people I have met when staying at a hotel. I instantly felt at home. The room was priced well. It was a little dated, but some upgrades, like Netflix and nicely framed artwork, were appreciated. The neighborhood is adorable and safe, nestled right between Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, so you can easily utilize the kitchen and save lots of money on going out. I hope to return here again!

Great stay! Spacious room with kitchenette and living room. Love the Foggy Bottom neighborhood and proximity to GW. Easy to walk to restaurants, Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods and the metro. Brandie is always so welcoming and kind!

Stayed for three days over Labor Day weekend 2024 for a wedding at the nearby Watergate Hotel. The River Inn staff were helpful and very friendly. King suite was huge and nicely appointed. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Trader Joe's was close by as were other dining options. This was a great value for the price. Highly recommend it !!

Returning after 3 years, we were welcomed by a front desk person who went out of her way to share all that had changed, as well as come out from behind the desk to guide me to the restroom and explain the elevator to me. Room (studio) was even nicer than I remembered. Pets stay free and there was even a pet bowl in the closet! Dog park a block away (morning)—walked our dog two blocks away along park perimeter (a little sketchy at night). Bathroom was great except for little lighting above shower (brisk hot water and pressure) and no soap dish for those who bring their own soap. Extremely environmentally conscious. No room in the parking lot (valet parking), but, found parking on the block (free until 9 am) and all was fine. Will stay nowhere else in Wash DC.

Great location and the staff were amazing. Brandi at the front desk is the best. The bartender, Amanda, is amazing and the valets were so nice. Very clean and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.

Everything was great except for the air conditioning. It was extremely hot in the room. The hotel did provide box fans for us which helped a lot. Extremely nice and professional people there and we did otherwise enjoy our stay. Great location as well!

First rate staff. Very helpful and friendly. Location of the hotel is great. Facilities is very well maintained. The only thing that can be improved upon is that the halls smell of a strong fragrance. Maybe I'm just very sensitive but it didn't make my experience any less pleasant in any way.

Great little place with amazing costumer service. Brandy was so sweet and caring, making sure we felt right at home. Is close to everything and subway transportation within a short walking distance. Will definitely stay here again.

I stayed for just 2 nights with my family, the River Inn was just what we needed for visiting the city main attractions.. located at just 20 min walk to Lincoln memorial in a very pleasant neighbourhood. The Staff was very kind and professional and the room was very cozy, spacious and clean. We did not use the kitchen very much but it’s a nice feature especially if you say longer with family. I definitely recommend the River inn and I would love to visit again in the future!
