Noise! No way to sleep here. The waste pipes from above run behind the bathroom wall with no insulation, it like multiple showers and toilets flushed all night.
Nice room but with no sleep I will never come back here.
No one at checkout asking how the accommodation was or willing to listen.

The property is conveniently located in the city center, well connected. Staff are friendly. However we didn’t like the fact that the bedroom was connected with the bathroom through an open space, so basically you hear/smell whatever is coming from whoever you are sharing the room with. It’s just doesn’t make sense. AC is loud & breakfast is basic/overpriced.

The hotel was adequate for our stay of one night in Lausanne.
LOCATION - Just outside of the train station so very convenient. It is up a steep hill and it could be an issue for some travelers. Not a problem for me but for someone coming with a lot of luggage, it may be difficult.
SERVICE - Fine; we requested a toiletry we forgot to bring, and it was provided promptly, we just had to go down to the check-in.
ROOM - Spacious and big enough for 3 people (we had 3 beds). The bathroom situation was weird as there were slats separating the bathroom / room, thankfully the toilet had a door. The faucet was totally wobbly and washing was difficult. The bathtub/shower combo was also strange as the shower head was in awkward. I am very petite and was uncomfortable; a larger person may not fit.
FACILITIES - We did not use if there were any.
HOTEL seemed to have some smoking rooms and the lobby smelled unpleasant.
BREAKFAST - was offered at 25 CHF which seemed high so we did not use but the restaurant area looked nice.

Some issues to turn out the AC at night, which was quite annoying. Plus not a huge fan of open toilets. Other than that very good.

Really pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Great facilities, in a good location, and very reasonably priced. Great value for money, I would stay here again. One area of improvement, I wish they had rooms with long beds as opposed to two twins, which can push apart when two people are sleeping together throughout the night and crate a gap between the beds… but otherwise no complaints at all

We were casually greeted and given keys at the desk. It’s definitely not a 4 star property. The room was dated and in need of some “TLC”. The pillows were disgusting. Linens and towels need updates. It was fine for one night. We would not return here.

Hotel is up on a very steep hill from the train station so be mindful of that. Room was spacious, barebones amenity wise, but comfortable regardless. Paid for a garden view room but didn’t get one (unless they meant rock garden???). Good value despite all of this.

Experience was beautiful and interesting. The only thing l would advice someone traveling to Lausanne by train and getting this hotel ya to travel light. The steepest hill you can find in the beautifully adorned city.

Modern and stylish hotel which is very well located across the road from the main train station and a short uphill walk to the centre shopping area. Thai restaurant within the hotel offering great food. Comfortable rooms and fitness/sauna in the basement.

Close to Lausanne station, very nice hotel with dining options in and around the hotel. Walkable area for shopping around St. Francis square and the Cathedral. Sticklers for checking in exactly on time and not earlier. Room was clean with a nice shower. Enjoyed my stay.

Great modern hotel in the core of Lausanne, a short walking distance to the Lausanne Train Station and the Flon Metro station. I will go back there if I have another trip to Lausanne.

One of the few properties with AC functioning well which for the Summer 2023 was a sought after rare feature in Lausanne.
Nice layout of the rooms even if standard small size. I appreciated the small fridge, something missing in many hotels in the area.
Convenient to the main train station and therefore many restaurants.
Front desk managed to send me to 2 rooms that were not cleaned. That helped me with my 10,000 daily steps given how far the rooms are from reception. The third room was a charm.

Very nice hotel in good location. I accidentally left valuables in the safe and the hotel retrieved them and kept them secured for a week before I could get back to claim them. I’m very impressed with their service and honesty.

The room wasn't ready. We came two hours later and checked in. The carpet was stained, AC was not working, and the room had very bad noise isolation.

They have new rooms and they smell really strongly of chemicals. I stayed one week and the room never smelled less harsh even with the windows open and a portable fan that was given to me. Really unpleasant.

Our family of three saturated in an updated room with comfortable beds and a modern decor. The bathroom was well appointed and the room was large enough for all of us to be comfortable. The hotel was a short walk up a very steep hill from the main train station. Felt like the room provided value.

Lovely big, quiet room and cozy bed!

Just a short walk uphill from the train station and near stops for public transportation--in fact, a transit pass for the local system was included with the hotel stay. Our room had a balcony overlooking the street, wonderful for people watching. One odd feature was the frosted glass walls of the bathroom, which meant that a light turned on in the bathroom during the night lit the entire sleeping room too. But overall, a great room and an accommodating staff who even loaned an umbrella on a rainy morning.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The staff was so nice and the room was incredibly beautiful and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only downside was that it is on a steep hill and for people that have mobility issues it is kind of hard getting up and down. But other than that I love this hotel and didn’t want to leave. Thank you for all the staff at the hotel and the restaurant who were so accommodating

I live in Italy, but the rest of my family lives in or near Lausanne, as I’m retired it’s easier for me to go to them than for them to come to me; this was the 3rd time I stayed at Alpha Palmiers because it’s perfect in every little detail! Mr Fassbind can be proud.
