Property was conveniently located. Clean. Staff helpful. Air conditioning only went to 23 degrees which was too warm for sleeping. Bed was slightly uncomfortable.

I ask for quiet room.
And my room give view on noisy street with kebab restaurant open very late.
The Aircon was not in function. So not possible close window otherwise too hot in room. So I can not sleep all the night

Stayed one night. First time mercure. Can not belief it is 4 stars . Felt more like a 2star
Positive: clean, location good
Negative: had a 2 star feel , small bathroom, cold room with small window. To expensive for what it is.
Corridor plastic sheeting was hanging of the ceiling as possible some renovations in progress.
We probably will not choose this chain again.

property is old need proper attention. First night we were put in a room on unfinished floor. the hallway ceiling is being replaced and just covered with plastic sheet. airconditioning is non existing. when we came back after going to Grenoble, we were put in a room that smells like disinfectant and the bathroom lights are not working. It was late in the afternoon and the reception clerk was apologetic, that their maintenance is no longer available. she offered us a free drink in the bar ( we refused ). at least she did what she can. much appreciated.
on the positive, the staff are excellent and the property is opposite to train station.

We chose the hotel as we were touring France by train and the hotel waa right across the road from the station.

Very good choice for breakfast to set us up for the day.
We ate on a evening at the restaurant attached although believe it's a seperate business. Superb food so no need to leave the hotel on a wet night.

Great location across the road from the station and an east 5-10 minute walk into town. For the money a great hotel with a comfortable bed and good sized room. Staff were friendly. We ate at the restaurant as we struggled to get in anywhere in town without a booking on a Saturday night and the meal was very good. An ideal hotel if you're travelling to/from the train station and the price is good.

The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. They made us feel truly welcome. Very nice hotel and very comfortable rooms. The air conditioning was a little weak but the temperature outside was not hot.

Hotel has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and is conveniently located with respect to the train station and the centre of Chambéry. The underground parking has a charging station for electric vehicles, which is free of charge.
Only negative point: underground parking can be quite a challenge for larger cars.

Noisy room but not because of the street noise. Our room doors (there were 2 doors) were vibrating every time another client from the same level was entering or going out from this room. During all the 6 nights it was impossible to sleep before midnight and after 7h-7h30 when the cleaning lady was starting her work and was opening the window from the hall.

Rooms are great but the outside of the hotel and entrance from the parking to the hotel urgently needs some paint. Breakfast way too expensive and parking places are ridiculously small for any car bigger than a Smart. Hotel close to city center and the restaurant is quite good.

Hotel was directly across from train station, which was convenient. My room was supposed to have a tub but didn’t, room was not that comfortable and the hotel definitely feels like a budget hotel, so not good value. Folks across the hall were loud and had a dog that barked. Not a great experience after an 8 hour train ride.... Very friendly and welcoming staff at the front desk though, which helped.

This is a well-located hotel with friendly staff and the convenience of free, secure parking (note the underground car park is tiny and very tight). The breakfast was reasobable - nice to have local cheeses available!
The room was fine , though pretty basic.
Overall the hotel was pretty tired. Cracked tiles and broken shampoo dispenser in the bathroom, and in the breakfast room, most of the mugs were chipped.

Friendly receptionist, clean hotel and room, comfy bed and good shower. Nice tea and coffee facilities in room, no complaints. Very easy to walk to from train station and bus station. Would stay again. No restaurant on site however, which is a shame if arriving late etc.

When we arrived, we were told we didnt have a room and that the hotel was full (despite having prepaid the room). The receptionist managed to get us one room, which was smelly (cigarette) and not super clean. We had a great experience at the restaurant attached to the hotel. Great food at a reasonable price, nice service and good central location. At the hotel, breakfast buffet was very ordinary.
