The front desk was under construction and loud jackhammering while trying to communicate with the front desk staff. The gym was large with a significant number of equipment options. Nice to have water available in the lobby and dispensers next to the ice machines in the hallways.

Old hotel! Elevators broken the entire the weekend. Wanted a relaxing weekend but got walking up 5 flights of stairs over snd over

It would be helpful if they would post information that hotel is under major renovation.

This place has a lot of potential. It’s a nice location, the rooms are large and clean, and the staff onsite was nice. However, they’re renovating and between 9 am - 6 pm there is work going on 7 days a week. At times it was so loud I could feel the building shake on the 4th floor. I get that renovations need to happen and they’ll eventually make this a much better hotel, but I wish they had told me ahead of time how loud it would be all day every day. I would’ve stayed elsewhere. It seems a bit dishonest that the company would still charge guests a lot of money without giving them notice of the condition of the place. If you want to stay here, call before booking to see what’s going on with the renovations. I bet it’ll be a really nice hotel someday so disregard this review once the renovations are done. Well, maybe not the bit about the company being misleading.

They cancelled my reservation and then tried to blame it on orbitz. Thankfully orbitz found me someplace else to stay. The attendant at the front desk was disrespectful and unprofessional. Their nonchalant cavalier attitude towards my situations and the fact that due to their own mistakes I lost my reservation. which they refused to take responsibility for, only frustrated me further. If it were up to the attendant I would have been on the street that night. I would never recommend even considering this terrible place with horrible staff. They then continued to lie l, saying they could not check me in because I came too late in the evening, as they proceeded to check in several others who arrived later, right in front of me. The dishonesty and lack of accountability is absolutely unacceptable in my opinion. Will make sure to never look at an EVEN hotel ever again!

Good location and neighborhood is convenient and quiet.

An excellent spot to walk to the Metro. Good restaurants nearby. Room was clean but noisy with the air conditioning turning on and off, despite having free ear plugs in the bathroom. Breakfast was healthy and tasty.

The floor was dirty as the soles of my feet were dark from the filth on it. They nickle and dimed us with coffee, no continental breakfast and had to pay for parking.

The bathrooms have a frosted glass sliding door that offer zero privacy and there is no fan either. Only 1 of t3 ice machine/water stations were working b/c of renovations and there no signs indicating that so I ran all over the hotel trying to get ice. The gym was very nice, had a lot of equipment and was clean. The rest of the hotel was worn and dated

Good location, plenty of dining options nearby. Like that the rooms have a “workout” area. Spacious rooms, great for having to work while traveling. Quiet inside, busy roads outside. Helpful staff.

i wasn’t aware the property was undergoing a remodel. jackhammer at 9 am was not fun especially since i worked in my hotel room. hotel staff great customer service, always smiling. food expensive but tasty, $12 oatmeal, $16 breakfast sandwich. coffee/tea was not available after 10 am. i couldn’t believe the hotel served powdered cream (in packets) as a choice for my coffee. luckily they had a grab-and-go section w/ milk, which was $5. starbucks near by so rest of stay i avoided the coffee/tea station & meal options. room was large, clean, comfy bed/pillows, big bathroom, roomy workstation, and overall room lit well. hotel convenient & walkable to shopping (tj maxx, ulta, world market, marshall’s, barnes noble, grocery stores) & great restaurants

Everything about the hotel was great! It was clean and easy to check in and out, the only problem was missing shower head which made it a little harder but other than that the stay was nice!

There shouldn't be any charge for parking in an area already designated for that purpose. Appears unreasonable. Clean facility. The small area designated for tea and coffee could benefit from upgrading offering additional items for snack/breakfast possibly for a nominal charge.

This hotel has friendly staff and is conveniently located near a metro station and a supermarket. I sincerely recommend it to families traveling together.

The Even is a great place to stay.

Overall the property was just ok. The rooms do not have any dressers and only a small wardrobe to hang clothes. There was no shelves or anything to put folded clothes on. Not even the desk had drawers for storage. Neither did the nightstand. Luckily it was only me because the door to the bathroom was a frosted glass so you can really see right in. The remote to the tv stopped working and had corroded batteries inside. Floors just seemed old and not as clean.

Very smart and clean. Staff were friendly and efficient. Loved the fitness room as well as the fitness equipment in my room! That’s a great idea. Very comfortable bed and decor was very nice. The only slight issue for me was the lack of storage space for clothes. The room could have used a chest of drawers in addition to hanging space.

Even tries to be avant-garde but comes off as half-assed. Room looks and seems to be set up to be an exercise facility with the convenience of built in beds and a bathroom. Use of space is terrible. Huge area under TV with nothing there. Could have been, at a minimum, a shelf or even better a cabinet. Hard to find a place to work at computer. I had my over-night case on top of the AC unit. ???? The place is not inexpensive, but you pay for breakfast, which is included in many other places (outside of the DC area). AND you pay for parking. Clerk asks me "Do you need to park." What the hell. I wasn't dropped off by Santa or the tooth fairy or a public buss. Got there by car, as did everyone else staying there. So don't tell me a room costs X dollars and then charge me $25 a night for parking. This may be common practice in DC area, but everywhere else parking is part of the deal. Hotels are learning from airlines that sell you a ticket but then charge extra for an actual seat, as if standing was an option. How about a little truth in advertising. Just tell me what a room will cost without hiding extra charges.
