The hotel was clean and elegant. The staff was welcoming and helpful- from the bellman and VIP Checkin to the cleaning staff and lounge staff. We really enjoyed our stay! We will be back.

Only shortcomings were other than news channels, there was no English tv or movies and there were no separate sheets on the bed which would have been preferrable to Doona/quilt given the temperature.

I tried to cancel my reservation due to an unexpected surgery that I needed to have on June 25th resulting in me being non weight bearing for 8 weeks and therefore unable to travel. The hotel was completely inflexible refusing to refund my pre-payment despite me being a regular customer in the past. I am a business owner of a US based company who has a subsidiary in Madrid. This requires me to make regular visits to Spain. I can guarantee that future visits will not include staying at this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a longer trip through Spain. This was by far the best hotel. The service was excellent. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms were very large and clean. The breakfast buffet is excellent. It’s not located near the Madrid central attractions, but the overall service makes it worth it to stay a little further out. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I cannot think of a single negative thing about this hotel.

A grand old Dame with lots of marble and art works. Great location. Spacious room with first class linen and beds. Again dated now but you have everything you need. Breakfast at executive lounge superb mainly down to the waiter who runs the show. He can't do enough for you. In the evening another story. Staff is lackluster, the food is a embarrassment for a 5 star hotel. I had to ask several times for more food as there was nothing left. Apart from that we enjoyed staying there

Hotel is great but could consider a general renovation. Looks/feels old. Also I noticed some
maintenance flaws in bathroom sink (water did not drain properly, kind if stuck), and toilet water appeared to be running all day long.
Other than that my stay with the family was great, service was excellent and staff couldn't be better.

The hotel room is very small and the bed too. Limited animation in the room and the furniture need maintenance.

The staff at Reception and especially in the bar and dining room were just terrific and made our stay. They remembered our name and could not have been more friendly, welcoming and been better hosts.

Very good hotel, I have stayed here many times and will continue to consider it . The staff is amazing and on top of making sure you get the best of your stay . The condition of some rooms is better than others though .
