Very friendly staff. We felt like home !

My daughter and I loved this hotel. It had a home feel to it , not a hotel. The was very clean, halls were quiet, and the pool was all available for my daughter’s enjoyment. We will definitely be back soon.

We booked through Expedia- paid $289 per night- noticed prior to check in the advertised price per the hotel website was $90 cheaper- I made mention when checking in and it was essentially- what you booked the room on Expedia is what you pay. We received our keys and advised we would have to go back outside and follow the side walk to the back of the building (we were checking in during tropical storm Debbie). We approached a set of steps noticed under the steps were several bowls and trash under the steps - followed by a group of 7-8 cats running away as we approached the steps. Our view consisted of super high dunes (no water insight) and the cat’s area. The room is small and dated. Remote did not work for the tv- beds were comfortable. In the bathroom, towel rack broken. We checked out early and went a few miles down for the remainder of our stay.

Property was not well maintained, rooms were small and tight. When our toilet got clogged we were offered a plunger or to change our room to a room facing the parking lot.

All of it was great. Staff was so friendly!

This is a classic, historic, hotel on the beach. Very nice. The staff is helpful and friendly. We will stay here again.

Just terrible stay. The property is old and not kept up. Everything is antiquated. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows are a joke. Could not get comfortable no matter whichever position I tried to put my head down. This is 2024 but the amenities in the hotel are still from the 70’s. There were roaches in the room. Notified the cleaning staff. The housekeeper and the front desk staff were very nice.

We have been to OBX several times and this is probably one of our favorite properties. It was clean, convenient and had several amenities. We booked the suite so we had two outside doors, one to the outside/beach walkway and one inside to the front desk/breakfast. We loved this option so we could get to breakfast and back in to change and head out to the beach. The pool was clean and huge. The complimentary breakfast was your typical basic breakfast (scrambled eggs, french toast, sausage, biscuits, cereal, bagels, pastries and juices). The walk to the beach was a little uphill but wasn't terrible. We loved being able to park right outside of our door. It was convenient when it was raining and when we were loading and unloading. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We definitely recommend this property and would stay again.

My room was very, very small. The queen bed took up most of the room without leaving much territory to maneuver in. The bathroom was also small. The breakfast was OK as long as you are a carnivore. I happen to enjoy a variety of fruits for breakfast. Strawberries, bananas, cantaloupe and melon would have been nice. On a better note, the facility and room was clean albeit small.

Lovely older property. Beach accessible excellent.

The staff was very nice. Our room wasn't cleaned during our stay but I understand it's a busy time of the year so I did my best taking out our trash and sweeping up the sand with a broom that was provided. Over all was a decent place to stay.

Excellent value - location is amazing and nice central to restaurants, shopping, and most importantly the beach. Staff was friendly and polite. This was a great stay and I will be doing it again!

We went with a 7 y/o & 15 y/o & we enjoyed the pool & breakfast provided. We had a special need for health reasons, which they assisted us with. Thanks for a good stay.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the public spaces had incredible charm! Great breakfast, convenient location. Almost has a bed and breakfast feel.

All In All The room was clean except for one big thing. The floor was disgusting. Our room had a tiled flaura.That was a dark Gray.We did not realize how filthy it was.Until my granddaughter was walking around the room barefooted.Her feet turned black in no time Other Than the Everything else was very clean. Beds were comfortable and clean..

This is a more of a motel, but I see it rated here as 4.5 star hotel. I got fooled at the rating and charged a five star hotel for a motel like. Expedia please please don’t rate stars without at least looking at a hotel or motel. I got cheated.

Hotel was well located and easy access to general area. Hotel was clean. I’ll components of the room. We’re working well. The morning breakfast was superb. It was a very nice stay.

The walk to the beach was short but you had to go over a sand dune. The bathroom was small but that could have been because we chose a room with extra seating so we didn't have to sit on beds for a week. I wish they would have had brooms in the room so we could sweep up the sand. It was an average hotel.

The room did not offer good value for the money spent. It was too small for a group of four and even cramped for a couple. Additionally, the bathroom sink had drainage issues. The staff was sweet and the breakfast was decent.

We spent 4 days with our grandson and had a great time. The staff was very professional and our room was very clean and comfortable.

Great value very comfortable large room traveling with 4 people! loved having an efficiency with sink, microwave, refrigerator, desk area and sittiing area. short walk to beach, nice deep pool. breakfast is adequate, great for kids. we will stay again soon
