Lovely hotel, great staff and varied breakfast. The only downfall was the bath and linked shower were tight and whilst I am tall k am very slim. Just not wide enough so showering was awkward.

Enjoyed my short stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and most importantly the breakfast was excellent!

Had an excellent weekend stay at this hotel, it's an extremely clean and well kept hotel. As soon as I got there I was greeted by helpful, friendly staff on reception, it was very welcoming. The room was very clean and well kept, the housekeeping staff are exceptional at what they do. There was nothing to critique in that regard at all, fantastic service all round. I did not get to try the food in the hotel unfortunately, but the restaurant menu was extensive, and a surprising amount of meals were available for the out of hours menu too. If there was anything on the slightly negative side, it would be the bed being not the most comfortable. There were plenty of pillows available, the mattress was a little on the hard side and that resulted in a poor night's sleep once or twice, but it certainly wasn't anything that ruined the experience at all. All in all I would definitely stay here again, Crowne Plaza Sheffield would be the first choice of hotels for me.

Spacious room, great facilities except the elevator definitely needs maintenance. Hotel is located not too far from downtown, its better to have a car/taxi

The rooms are super cold as you enter. The staff took ages to attend to you. Nobody answered the phones for me to order room service, had to go all the way downstairs to reception and order for the food order to then be missing items. Breakfast was cold.

Absolutely loved our stay. The hotel staff were friendly and really helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and our room was immaculate. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely that they had chocolates with graduate hats on them in the foyer to welcome graduates and their families staying at the hotel for their graduation ceremony at the University of Sheffield - that was a really nice touch ! Room service was very good with a nice menu - food was tasty. Nice selection at breakfast - clean tidy rooms with really comfy beds with a firm mattress (which I really like) !

Stay was great breakfast good but Cunninghams restaurant was a little disappointing. Food was very slow to arrive and lots of the choices were incorrect.

We stayed for two nights and the first there was an event downstairs, which could be heard a lot from one of the rooms. The breakfast was good, however it would be great to see more variety in the fruit and vegetables. The rooms overall were comfortable and clean.

Great. Better than hotels I’ve paid twice as much for. Seems like an older hotel that has retained its elegance. Could not find any fault and the price was fantastic.

Staff were professional, a bit scripted and not very personable.

It was ok, it was a very busy venue we stayed from wed to very early Friday and there seemed to be events morning and night, we had our room moved from a loud area due to events because we have a baby with us but it really was a room downgrade that they couldn’t compensate for because we booked through the hotel app. Breakfast add on was definitely overpriced.

Was not made to feel welcomed when arrived and was not been made aware that they would hold £50 from my bank card upon arrival. We have stayed at way more nicer/expensive hotels which have not asked up to do this. The room had 2 TVs but only 1 remote so when you switched one off the other came on. To watch you had to unplug a TV. The heating didnt work you had to phone up to get it put on despite there been a control in the room. The coffee machine didn't work and the cups was dirty. The floor was ridiculous unlevel felt like been on a boat. The window didn't close properly so was drafty . For the money we paid it was not worth it.

Excellent all round - location is run down and a little way off the city centre(although railway buffs would find it interesting as it's at the site of the old Sheffielf Victoria station. The old station approach walls have displays connected to the hotel and station). The hotel is a superb place to stay not least because of the staff.

Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, good sized bath - you can lay down it it and I’m 5’9”. So nice to have a bathroom that is for tall people. Great experience we will return

Polite reception staff . Clean hotel. Clean rooms. Had 2 free bottles of mineral water one still one sparkling ready waiting for me. Plenty of tea bags and coffee and hot choc in the room. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. When I got back from the Paul Weller concert at midnight it was boiling . Matthew at the front desk got me a pint of iced cold water to take to my room. What a gentleman. It’s little touches like this that can make a guest choose to stay again.

Nice hotel not far from the train station. Great staff, they really went above and beyond to make our stay special.

Spotless hotel in great location for what we required including car parking and breakfast at a reasonable cost. Helpful attentive staff, an enjoyable stay.

Very expensive for tiny rooms. They even charge for parking which is beyond ridiculous given how expensive the rooms are. The lift was broken and we were allocated a room on the fourth floor !

Reception team is very good, easy and friendly check in and out, great chatting with Klaudia on the check out. Dinning was slightly different, my starter (hake) was not good, had a smell of ammonia, didn’t eat as it didn’t seem to be in good condition, we didn’t get a check back on the starters and when I told the young waitress that the hake was not good, nobody checked with us and the issue didn’t get acknowledged or a simple apology was made, when I said that it had a ammonia smell and taste the reply was “ok”. My cousin’s main “aubergine” was hard to take of the skin, taste was good just a little under, no biggie there just some feedback. The rest of the meal was good, the chicken main and the desserts were very nice. Table maintenance was a little of hit and miss, at one stage we had 8 glasses on a table of 2 guests, doesn’t matter to be honest we just settled them on the side ledge for the rest of the meal, i hope you don’t take the comments as harsh, just honest feedback that I believe you should be aware of. For the money that you mark your restaurant up, needs a little better care Again thank you, reception team an absolute credit to your team (everyone we dealt with) and the hotel and facilities were very clean.
