This is your normal airport hotel. It has a modest bar, an average restaurant with bar food, and a pretty average (fairly mediocre) breakfast buffet. The service and everyone there were excellent, though, and the room was fine. I’d stay here again if the price was decent. Again, the service and staff were GREAT.

Room was not clean. The dirt on lampshades and stains on chairs clearly showed that room wasn’t cleaned properly in months. TV did not work and staff could not fix it either. The shower head was lose and sprayed all over, I had to tighten the shower head myself to prevent it from spraying outside of tub. It seems that shower head was put in haste by staff member without any plumbers help. Some tiles in bathroom were chipped exposing the wall behind. On positive side: hotel offered shuttle to and from airport and served hot breakfast at 4:30 am in morning. Staff was friendly.

The hotel has a bug problem which makes it feel very unclean. We noticed problem immediate after entering room. We then moved to another room which (temporarily) seemed to be better. After about a day the flying little nat (fruit flies) were back in full force. I noticed at breakfast as well. Wouldn’t recommend until the seriously address issue. This problem made the hotel feel dirty. The staff were nice. I wouldn’t recommend spending money at restaurant - food didn’t feel worth spending money on. Breakfast was decent although lack of fruit.

In fairness, I stayed here because my flight was diverted and I needed a place to stay overnight at the last minute. My check-in was easy. The staff were efficient. The room was good enough for one night. I would not have chosen this hotel under different circumstances.

The staff was very friendly however tbe rooms smelled terrible. Smelled like a mix of urine and cigarettes. Someone definitely urinated on the floor or something. They need to make some serious upgrades and sanitize their rooms. Also the items in the vending machine were horrible.

This is 2024, never stayed at a Confort Inn before, my first & last. This facility is Antiquated, totally in shock with the bathroom & room. When we walked in the room, very stale from the air condition. Maybe the filters needed to be changed. The bathroom stink also with that stale smell. The facet on the sink, was very loose, water running around it. The shower is sooo old, an old handheld, with other old attachments. All the USB ports didn't work! Sheets didn't feel good either, we didn't sleep good at all. Please get some King size pillows for the bed, pillows aweful. The next morining, after showering, the towel had red blotches all on it, didn't know until I dried off. Why would they put a towel out like that for someone to use???? smh This place is the pits, the manager seemed very unconcern about our concerns. This facility needs a total upgrade, not tomorrow but today. As they say you pay for what you get! Paid $30 more at another hotel, we felt like a king & queen, nothing was OLD. In 2024,if you upgrade, more people will stay, and you are near the Airport. You don't have to worry about us anymore, really you should pay us for staying in this dump!! Easy parking because everybody knew not to stay........

Great time

We stayed at the Comfort Inn for 2 nights as we needed lodging prior to a flight leaving from the Detroit airport. There are dozens of hotels within a mile of the airport so there are definitely lots of choices. We chose Comfort Inn because the price was reasonable, it offered free breakfast and free shuttle service to the airport. The property is lovely on the outside and has plenty of free parking. The lobby is clean, open and attractive. Hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms and hallways are a bit dated (carpets in hallway was stretched, loose and actually a tripping hazard). Beds were a bit too firm for me but otherwise clean. Room size is average. Rooms have working refrigerators and microwaves and nice flat screen TVs. Bathrooms are small and somewhat dated but functional. Off the lobby there is a small restaurant/bar. It was a nice place to hang in the evenings and for breakfast. Bar tenders were very friendly! Breakfast itself wasn't the best....there were eggs, a breakfast meat such as ham or sausage. The rest is just continental (bagels,juice,coffee, cereal ect). Breakfast ends at 9:00 a.m. but food had already run out by 8:30, so the staff just started cleaning up around 8:40. So unless you plan to plan to eat between 5:00 am.-8:00 am, there may not be breakfast for you. It was a fine place to stay for the cost.

I usually enjoy my stay at the comfort Inn. I technically have not had a lot of problems staying there, which is why I continue to do so. The one thing that was a little offputting this time is the fact that the sink in the bathroom needed a good plunging. It was very backed up and made it hard to drain while brushing my teeth. Some maintenance upkeep needs to be done. Also the horrifying sound that the pipes made when I was taking a shower was very scary. It’s just simple upkeep that needs to happen.
