We chose this hotel to be near other family members who were in town for a wedding. The reception desk staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. It was conveniently located midway between the University and the Downtown Mall, and right on the trolley route going in either direction. Room was clean and comfortable (although serviced every other day, which I can live with). Breakfast was available, about medium quality, but items offered did vary daily, and we enjoyed the outdoor seating. I would stay here again.

Very happy with my accommodations at the Hampton Inn! Pleasantly surprised that my room had a nice living room area and a full kitchen!

Some Hamptons have a great Breakfast, this one was weak to fair at best. A great location 2 blocks from UVA Battle Bldg. where I was going. All was OK, no bad issues but I have had much better breakfeast at other Hamptons.

The lobby of the hotel is under renovation. The front entrance is closed and under construction. The gym is closed. The bathrooms on the lobby floor are closed and unavailable. I will not return until the construction and renovations are completed.

We had to keep adding water to the tank of our commode because it would not flush properly. We feel like staff already knew this since there was a bucket in the bathroom to use to fill up the tank. We were not told beforehand but we’re only staying on

Out of a 3 night stay, there was no hot water for 2 days. Staff said run it for a time but to no avail. There was no empathy from staff about this problem. They did comp one night’s parking for that inconvenience. This is a 400 per night hotel.

The Charlottesville Hampton Inn was under construction with no advanced notice so there was a mess and dust throughout the lobby. No hot breakfast was offered. Staff we encountered were unfriendly. In room air conditioning was very loud. Very disappointed. We usually love Hampton Inns but the Charlottesville location was disappointing.

This was very close to UVA and tons right in the middle of a great shopping district. The rooms themselves were very clean and about average sized.
My biggest complaints were it was undergoing a ton of renovations throughout the hotel. This caused a lot of mess and noise. Also we didn’t think the breakfast served there was very good.

The lobby is a construction zone, with jackhammers going and most of the area covered in black tarps. We had to wait for over ten minutes while the sole receptionist finished up a phone call.

This property is under MAJOR RENOVATION. No TV, very little heat and NO HOT WATER! at 9:30pm we left and checked into another property nearby. How can I contact Expedia with this problem?????????

Property is being renovated which we did know know about - lots of dust, plastic and noise. Initially we were given a key to a room which was already occupied - much to our surprise, along with the room’s occupant! We got another one and it seems updated - but the check in was rough. Our key didn’t work at first either. It might be better once the renovation is complete but would avoid for now.

We arrived after dark and the receptionist told us right away that the t.v.s were not working and that there was no hot water. We very much appreciated the information and checked in somewhere else down the road.

Under construction w/ noise and no television to watch tournament basketball. These things happen, but at the very least, don’t charge for parking or offer something to compensate a disappointing stay.

They were renovating the property in the time of my visit, and nowhere was that listed or mentioned at the time of my booking or disclosed to me well prior to checking in. I wasn’t to able to get a sound sleep or a fast hot shower because of these constant renovations, and while the staff did what they could, it was too little too late—I would rather not get woken up by the drilling sound of a jackhammer directly above me.

The property is being refurbished, very dusty and noisy and THE WATER WAS TURNED OFF 11-3 during the day!! We were not warned about this when we reserved the room, at the regular rate!! Staff was great. Breakfast was good and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Also, we were not allowed to earn our Hilton Honors points because the room was a “prepay” (I guess, reserved through Expedia).
