We had a family member in Hospice at the local hospital and booked a room for 2 days. We chose this hotel because of affordability. We did not expect a high end hotel but the rooms were run down and not comfortable at all. I do feel they were cleaned as best as they could be but there were cigarette burns on the sheets, floor and toilet. The best part of the hotel was the staff. They were kind and friendly and I almost feel bad leaving a bad review however I did not feel safe in this hotel. There were people hanging around in the parking lot everywhere and very small Kids were running around unsupervised. We stayed for about an hour then booked a room across the street where we felt safer.

The young lady who checked us in was fantastic. She said that the room we requested was unavailable and she walked us through the options till we were satisfied. On our way to our room, we noticed the condition of the facility was poor. Rugs were filthy, doors and door knobs in disrepair, and an musty, moldy odor was dominant. When we entered our room, it was damp and smelled like a basement. The surfaces of the counter and dresser were damp to the touch. We ended up just leaving the hotel and staying somewhere else. It also looked like there more than a few rooms that wee the permanent residence of families.

Made reservation months in advance. Didn't have my room ready for me. Reception was no where to found at first arrival. Traveled 3hrs with 3 month old and after a 15minute wait for someone to speak to, the lady was one of the rudest people I've ever had to deal with. Blaming it on the morning crew and couldn't care less about not having my original reservation. Just a terrible experience. I would never recommend this place to anyone and actually advised HOTEL.com to take them off of their site. This place is a dump and I'm actually glad I didn't stay. Thank you for being such an overall dump.

Rarely take the time to review but I would not be a good citizen if I neglected to inform & empower others with this VITAL information. Particularly traveling families. ZERO stars. Where to start, requested microwave for my family and I twice, no luck. Had to request cookware, dinnerware. Smell in hallways and room is STUNNING & NOT in a good way. Bring HEAVY DUTY DEODORIZER & Bleach cleaner to clean EVERYTHING. A man sleeping DAILY in his truck parked in the parking lot. What inspired our early departure was not only visible signs of drug paraphernalia in the hallway but clear drug users at the property. The FINAL STRAW was the DRUG OVERDOSE of a gentleman who passed out on the asphalt next to my vehicle! NARCAN was requested by the gentleman's friends upon arrival of paramedics and police. This location should NOT be in the hotel category. Simply a NASTY place.

the hotel smelled of cigarettes and other things all through out the inside . the bath tub and shower had mold and we could not use it. the head boards on the bed were dirty and ripped. One of our mattresses was flipped upside down. we could not sleep because the smell of cigarettes was so strong. The paint around the window was peeling and moldy there was holes in the ceiling in the hall ways. We stayed there 2 nights and will never return.

We checked out 10 minutes after we checked in. The room was dirty and the sofa bed was horrible (dirty and brokken). We spoke to the guy at the front desk, he was nice, but couldn’t do anything for us.

I want a refund, my room had roaches. The entire first floor smelled like dog feces and marijuana. This is by the nastiest place I have ever stayed in my life. It is a travesty that this is even an option on Expedia

It was kind of mixed. Staff were nice, but there was food left in the fridge and the bathtub was questionable. It felt gritty under my feet and squealed when I stepped into it. It also took a good eight minutes for the water to warm up for the shower. Some of the lights working because the lightbulbs were loose. I also had a roach run across the floor at one point. Generally, it did look clean and nothing else was particularly worn out.

The location is what drew us to stay at the location. But the rooms left a lot to be desired. The tub in the bathroom needed some work, the towels weren't that great. Not to sound picky but why isn't the sink in front of the mirror...hard to clean and not be able to see what you're doing??? The bed was pretty good, had to ask for an extra pillow. The light switches didn't work to turn on light above stove and the island. Not as inviting as the posters in the elevators make it look.

I would not recommend staying at this property. It was filthy and I felt unsafe. I checked out early as I did not want to endure the conditions of my room.

While the hotel clearly hasn't seen many updates in years, the need for us was low cost and close location to Newark (12 min from UD campus). The halls on the 3rd floor are dark. Cigarette smell in the lobby sometimes (and pnce during the night which woke me up; probably someone smoking on the hallway). The handicapp door open buttons didnt always work. The facility does have some long term residents, but there we no problems to my knowledge thus i felt fairly comfortable safety-wise. While they do offerr coffe and limited snacks in the morning, i didn't try them so cant give an opinion. The lobby is small. Theres a small nook for sitting but not really conducive for relaxing. Staff were pleasant. Room looked clean. Was not noisey. All in all this location got the job done for us, but isnt where I'd choose to stay if money was no object.

It was fine. Bed was a full and not a queen. Check in took forever. I loved the full kitchen and it made up for a lot. I’d stay here again with adjusted expectations.

The Hotel to start did not honor my prepaid reservation! Almost did not have a room for me and my employee, they had to put one of us in a double full size bed room and the 1st room they gave me already had a tenant occupying the room. The attendant then said they did not have any more rooms, but I insisted that she check one of the listed unclean rooms, fortunately for me, one room was clean, but not listed as such. The hotel is pet friendly, but the odor was far too much for a cleaned hotel. The hallways stunk. The laundry room over the weekend only had 4 of the 6 washers operating and only one of the six dryers worked. Needless to say, I will not be staying here again.

It was clean and fairly quiet. The light in the bathroom was flickering or off when you turned it on. So i had to shower in the dark. The staff was very upbeat which made things nice.

The actual room was not bad. But there was an air of “sketchiness” to the whole deal. People hanging outside drinking beer and smoking cigarettes, generally just being on their phones surfing the net, and sitting around or wandering the parking lot. Just a feeling of a lot of loitering around. Just a feeling like these people had no where to go. It was also loud at night. At one point there were people yelling at each other in the hallway. I thought it was going to turn into a physical fight. The room itself was nice, but the environment was less than acceptable. I probably will not stay there again.

This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at! Completely dark hallways filthy dirty rooms smells like weed ! Every hallway smelt like urine and weed! Everything smells and is so unacceptable for a human being to be in! I will never ever book at this hotel chain again in my life!!!!! Grab and go breakfast is coffee and a stack of granola bars that look like they have been there for months! Dirty counters dirty everything!

at first glance, the hotel looks and seems nice. Once booked, I had to get my cards re keyed three times. There are NO kitchen supplies, pots, pans, etc...so why bother having a kitchen? Loud babies crying in a dark and dingy hallway. So glad we only stayed one night.

The location was great, close to restaurants and entertainment, and check in was fast. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was good, great water pressure and temperature, but they missed a dirty wash cloth in the shower. The kitchen was lacking. They advertise a full size refrigerator, stove top, microwave and coffee/tea maker but there wasn't a microwave or coffee maker in the room, nor was there any pots, pans or utensils. When I asked the front desk about the missing microwave, he said he didn't know. I chose them so I could bring food,cook in the room and not have to go out and save money. I'm not sure if I'd stay at this location again.

Be a little wary. The floor was dirty to the point we noticed the dirt right away on our bare feet. There were supposed to be ice trays in the refrigerator, but there were none. The roll of toilet paper hanging in the bathroom had some unidentifiable gunk on it, so we threw the entire thing away. Two of the pillows did not have pillow covers on them, and we didn’t notice this until getting into bed. The construction of the rooms seems thin, as we heard an upstairs neighbor walking around their room much of the night (it sounded like regular walking, not stomping or jumping).
On the plus side, the staff was super friendly and responsive to us when we asked for things we needed.

Our non smoking room and bedding reaked with cigarette smoke. I couldn’t sleep and coughed during the night because of the air quality. The entrance was very smoky too and not very inviting. Brandi checked us in and was very nice tho!
