Easy access to where we needed to be. Parking was extra but understandable due to proximity of football stadium, hotel gives you a discount code so not too expensive.
Room has all amenities you need. The room was a little cold due to poor seal around window but the curtains helped.
Breakfast was great, much better than another hotel chain beginning with T! The orange juice actually tasted of orange! We ate out on first night as there a couple of restaurants nearby but we ate in the hotel 2nd night, both had pizzas which were tasty & hot. They were a little slow on the bar due to new staff but they were cheerful and helpful. Would stay again if I was in the area.

The one slight negative was the noise from the heating/air conditioner in the room. And £5 a day for parking is a bit expensive.

Really lovely hotel. Very clean and well presented. Personally my husband and I didn't like the pillows, they were too hard, even with flipping over, we ended up not using them at all. No reflection on the hotel but it was also very noisy till about 12.30 am, someone was in and out in the neighbouring room and kept letting the door slam shut.

Pretty good overall but a couple of niggles. Room heating was sporadic and mostly cold. We couldnt turn it up because it was noisy and kept us awake. Also disappointing not to offer any mushrooms or fried eggs at breakfast. As a vegetarian I was a bit short of choices.

Stayed for an event at the velodrome up the road which is walkable

A very comfortable and spacious hotel/room with all the required facilities. The shower was very hot and there was no way of cooling it down; it was too hot for my liking and it took a long time for me to be able to wash my hair satisfactorily!
The bonus was the Asian restaurant across the road from the hotel, if you like Asian food! the breakfast choice and supply was plentiful, but some people were not able to get seats for their meal (it was a Saturday so extra busy).
The walk along the river to town was pleasant and well signposted.

Room was comfortable. Breakfast on first morning was good however due to an oven fault on the second morning choice was very limited. Lift wasn’t working when we were leaving which meant having to carry all luggage downstairs from the 3rd floor.

It's Derby, it's a Hi express. Great value for money for 80 quid. Very comfy and good staff. Needed a good night's sleep and a good, relaxing breakfast. Got it. Better than premier inn in terms of value.
