... initially I was put off by the somewhat dated nature of the unit. The kitchen and bathroom were original but still quite functional. The daggiest piece of furniture was the table in front of the lounge
That said it was comfortable and clean and quiet. The a/c worked well and the bed was comfy.
The staff were very helpful too. The unit had all we needed so, we would stay again at a good price! .... YMMV

Wonderful older style two-bedroom apartment with plenty of room to move around. Great views of the freeway and Harbour Bridge approaches. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds with plenty of storage. Added bonus of Birdie restaurant next door which has great food and wonderful staff. My only complaint is that the lounges were too soft and hard to get out of. They need replacing. Walking distance to the Light Rail and Wynyard station.

The hotel was not what we were expecting. We have children and we’re out on the 23rd floor at first then moved to 16th both with balconies which are not appropriate for young children so we had to move hotels. We were not told we would be up this high before hand and the manager was not very helpful.

Our stay at The York Swiss-bel in Sydney CBD was absolutely amazing! You can walk to about any major attraction. Public transportation is nearby. It's very safe and convenient.The staff is very nice and professional. The room is basically an apartment and well equipped. Restaurants and convenient stores are nearby.

We arrived early (10:30 am)after getting off a cruise ship. We were able to store our luggage until checkin. We arrived back at 2pm for checkin. The room wasn't ready yet. We waited about twenty more minutes. Rooms are clean and have a few supplies (like dish soap) so you don't have to purchase everything for a short stay. We needed to print up a document. The clerk had us email it to him and then delivered it to our room. Checkout was smooth and the clerk called a cab for us.

Good location close to the rocks and circular quay. The two bedroom unit we stayed in was very noisy as it was right next door to the elevator shaft which had a knocking noise. There is also traffic noise from the main road and church bells if there is a wedding on.

The hotel room was very comfortable and well presented. An apartment style with a very handy lkitchen and lovely city views. The location was close to all transport especially Wynyard station with its direct connection to the airport.

Paid alot of money. The rooms given intially were below par after complaining we were given something better.
Second time around we were given a terrible room but was given a better room after complaining.

The location is the fact to stay at the York. However, the carpet of the room must be dusty and making my wife allegy. The facilities of washer and dryer are reason for us to choose this hotel before but the cleaness of the washer has great room of improvement. The rubber lid at the opener should have been used for a long time without cleansing as the dark mould filled on internal side of the e rubber lid.

Oh my word! This place was a fantastic experience for my family as we had traveled from the States for the first time. We had a 3 bedroom/2 bath room with 2 balconies! We could see Sydney Harbour! The tram was only one block away (downhill going, but a steep incline back). We had a person in a wheelchair, so it was a little of a struggle to navigate. Hotel was safe, clean, and the staff were so very friendly! I would highly recommend this for a family on holiday.
