This hotel has recently gone through a recent renovation but it wasn’t enough. First there were no options for a breakfast. That is part of a trip that most enjoy. Disappointed in management in that.
The elevator needs to be upgraded. It’s like one you might in the historic places in San Francisco.
The young man that checked me in was very courteous. He stayed calm when many parties arrived at once.
The room was clean and I slept well.
I’m not sure I’ll return to this particular hotel. I’ve stayed in other Comfort Inns that were better than this one. Comfort management you need to make a surprise visit to this facility.

NEVER AGAIN ! They give us a room that had been slept in and trashed and I assume still occupied, when we finally got a semi clean room the door was standing open when we arrived and would not close ( had to fix that myself ) the toilet had been used and seat fell off when you sit on it room was musky smelling , shower nozzle was loose in the wall and broken , elevator was in poor repair and plain scary to ride , the hallways were dirty and smelled of mold among other things . They had no breakfast and I wouldn’t have eaten there if they had ! Everything past the front desk was in poor repair and if it hadn’t been so late and so tired I would have never stayed there and will never again !!

Customer Service was terrible- went by location to see if room was ready early and no one was around desk or office to ask- called for some help but to avail. Check in room and there was only one towel and one hand towel only. Had to go to deck to get towels. All Ice Machines on all floors out of order. No coffee or breakfast is offered until further notice! went to check out next day and no one available - just had to leave key at desk- was ignored by cleaning crew that were in lobby

I reserved & was charged for a queen suite room. Upon arrival, we entered the room and the smell was horrible. It was wet carpet all around the AC unit and it gave the room a strong, musty smell. The attendant checked the room and confirmed the complaint. We were switched to a regular queen room in which the toilet was broken. After checking out I asked for the manager and was told someone would call me. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL!
I was also still charged for the suite and did not receive a credit for the downgrade.

This hotel has a roach problem. I did inform the front desk I was told management will be in touch. I have stayed here many times and seems like this location is definitely declining.

We tried to check in early (2 pm) because we had a wedding at 4. There was not a car in the parking lot but she would not let us check in until 3. I thought that was very inconvenient. Also, we knew that the breakfast was off but we asked about coffee. We were told there would be at least coffee but none available Sunday morning.

Pros - The hotel was overall nice. The room was clean and looked very nice. Bed was very comfortable, tv was easy to navigate.
Cons - lighting in the room was bad; no lightbulb in the lamp on the desk. AC was very hard to set because the modes on the unit were rubbed off and very hard to see. The toilet seat was not sturdy and moved when I sat on it. Biggest concern is that I killed about 5 roaches. They were all in the bathroom, and varied in size.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel. There are plenty of other hotel options in Ruston. I am not one to complain but people should know to avoid this establishment. Upon arrival, we had to switch three different times to different rooms due to a multitude of problems/issues with the rooms. The third room smelled of heavy cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room, the bed comforter was stained with what I HOPE was spilled coffee (stain) on the white comforter and sheets and we had to kill roaches on the walls by the beds as well as in the bathroom area. To top off everything, the continental breakfast was not available and when asked about it, I was told "we don't put that sign out until the morning." By that time, you've already spent the night.
Sad state of affairs at this hotel and I only post this so that others will know.;

I would return to this hotel. I found everything comfortable and not worn. The lighting, HVAC, fixtures, furnishings and bathroom fixtures were all modern and coordinated well. Things to improve on - tighten the seat on the toilet, add some additional light in the bathroom counter. Customers only get backlight from your really cool mirror/light. One of the elevator call lights didn’t light up, though they worked properly. On orientation/check in, mention breakfast, TV Channels, room service (I didn’t have any service on my second day’s stay, which is OK), and other routine common information. It was quiet and the staff I spoke with were all nice.

Disappointed that there was NO WIFI SERVICE the entire trip. Was there for weekend in Grambling but had business obligations I could not hold to, due to poor signal and no WiFi availability. Staff was ill informed and helpless.

Wifi network name is “Onyx Guest”. Who the hell is Onyx? The name of the hotel is Comfort Inn and Suites. No clear instructions given. Unable to connect to wifi and front desk was dismissive and unhelpful. No “comfort” about this stay.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. First they told me they didn’t have a room that had been book and paid for weeks in advance. The lady was rude. The elevator was in terrible condition the door closed very hard. The hallways were hot and smelled bad. Our room had roaches, no shower curtain no hair dryer (if there was one I would not have used it) the shelve in the shower was falling off. There was hair on the towels and bed food hardened all over the inside of the microwave. The AC was disgusting. We didn’t go for the pool but that was our view and it was disgusting. We will never stay here again. If I were you I would not stay here. The place needs to be shut down.

Our First room wasn't ready for guests. It had unmade beds, dirty carpet etc etc... We had to use elevator for sencond room and it was filthy from top to bottom and side to side. Didnt even want to push button to the floor our room was on. Our second room was on 3rd floor and was even worse. When opening the door a musty odor hits you, sheets, tables, floor, all of the bathroom & every mirror were filthy. Lobby & hallways were hot & humid due to broken AC units. I asked the lady at front desk why its so dirty not up to standards and she replied "The hotel cleaning employees are Understaffed and are only allowed to work from 9am to 12pm." She apologized for inconvenience of everything and refunded our money. The lady at front desk was very nice & courteous throughout the whole ordeal & honestly was the only good thing about our visit to hotel.

Checking in was a nightmare! First two rooms they tried to give us were dirty and had such wet carpet that it splashed when we walked in. The poor desk clerk tried so hard - kudos to him!! He finally found us a room, and it was decent overall. However, the cleaning staff doesn't do their job as completely as they should. There were two cups of suspicious liquid in our closet, the mirror was filthy, and the dust in there was ridiculous. Not to mention the algae filled pool outside our window. Even the life ring flotation device to save drowning swimmers was old and cracked. Disgusting. And the clerk let on that NONE of the phones in the hotel (rooms, hallways, etc) work - just the front desk. Management has gone cheap here, and they shouldn't be running a hotel if they can't do so safely.

When I arrived to check into my room the guy at the desk informed me that all the rooms were sold out. I didn’t understand how could all the rooms be sold out when I had reservations. He told me that since I booked through a 3rd party that didn’t have to honor my reservation since I didn’t book directly through Comfort Inn &Suites that they didn’t have to honor my reservations and I should have called the hotel and made sure I had a room. I was not the only one he said this to it was also 2 other couples in the lobby that was told the same thing. He was very rude and told me he didn’t care. I told him that I couldn’t drive 5 hrs home. He responded that he didn’t care. If there is a problem with 3rd party reservations I don’t think that customers should use this networking since when you get to a hotel they can not honor your reservation that you reserve and pay for upfront and the hotel can get their money and hang you out to dry and it’s like hell to even get a refund. I will no longer use a 3rd party or stay at this hotel again. And then the hotel is very nasty no hot water. Elevator sound like you about fall out and nasty. Television would not turn off we had to listen to the television all night and it was loud. This was a horrible experience for me and my husband

There was no stay! When I arrived, the manager said there were no rooms! No matter which question I and another person who had paid for a reservation, his response was “There are no rooms!” Hotels. com - I DEMAND A REFUND!!

Booked hotel due to the discount and price. Checked in and when we got to the room, it had a very foul odor. Later that night we discovered the air conditioner was leaking water onto the carpet causing the strong smell. Also since I was in town, I invited my 9 yo neice to come swim, only to discover the pool was closed, major bummer, it would have been nice to know before we booked. The breakfast was pretty fair, omelets, sausage, pastries, etc.

The room doors were propped open when we arrived and the rooms were not completely clean. The pool was in rough shape and the elevator floor was breaking. You could tell they were having air/humidity issues.

This was a below average experience. Condition of the hotel was rough and it wasn’t the cleanest. Everything else was just ok.

Not a good place to stay if you need reliable internet. The internet at the hotel was not working during my stay. I waited in the lobby for over an hour for someone to reset the router, but the issue persisted. This significantly impacted my work and caused a major inconvenience.

The trash was not emptied the entire time of our stay, we had to stop at the front desk every evening for clean towels, the used ones were never removed from our rooms the entire stay.
The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately this will be our last stay there. Previous visits were good.

The room smelled wet like mold as if it hadn’t been properly cleaned. The tub faucet was dripping so I am assuming that is where it came from. Maybe a deep clean is needed for the property. The staff were very friendly.

I stayed here for work and had to be moved from the first room due to condition of the room. Both rooms had mold either on the ceiling or other parts of the room. The AC leaked into the carpet and was soaking wet in one room and the other the AC didn’t work properly. The mattress in the second room was terrible. Had a huge dip in the center and was not the usual hotel quality bed. Overall terrible stay and will never use this hotel again.

We were given keys to an occupied room. Then was moved to a room that had not been cleaned. We were then told that our money would be reimbursed if we wanted to move to another hotel after having these reservations for two months and driving 15 hours from another state and arriving close to midnight. It was very upsetting.

The guy at the front desk with the grasses provide great customer service and is veey knowledgeable. He's always smiling and in a great mood. Now for my room the bathroom was disgusting and the room hadn't been vacuum. Lastly the air that needs to be updated because it leaks and the floor was soggy from it.

Unfortunately, i wasn't happy with the condition of my room. It didn't look like it had been cleaned. The beds were made but the floor in the bathroom and hallway was visibly dirty. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed it was crumbs and food particles all around the beds. The tub and toilet had dirty rings.

There were several people immediately checking out of the hotel due to the conditions of the rooms. Our first room was filthy. We had a king suite and found crumbs by the phone, which didn’t work. The tub was absolutely disgusting and had old grime and sand caked to the sides. The inside of the toilet had not been cleaned at all. The front desk lady gave us another room. When we entered that room, the AC wasn’t working properly and the main light to the room didn’t work. We along with 6 other couples that I saw checked out.
