This stay was great, we were only here for one night for an event in Stuttgart before travelling back to Essen but it was perfect for what we needed. We arrived early and checked in early, sat in the lovely bar downstairs before heading into the city. Easy transport links from the city out to the hotel made this stay even better. If ever planning a trip to Stuttgart again, we would definitely consider staying here in Ludwigsburg and travelling in and out.

Was charged 14 euro for parking. Hotel page on hotels.com said free parking for gold members, which is why I booked the hotel. Also air conditioning did not work. It just blew warm air it did not have any cooling function even though I turned the control to its coldest setting. The fridge was like an oven inside, it also did not work. Could be a perfect hotel but was ruined by these three failures.

The property was fine, as usual. However, we were let down by Expedia, who offerred the best price. On booking we booked breakfast and the price increased accordingly. On check-in at the Nestor, our breakfast was NOT booked and moreover, the room was well below the Nestor's usual high standards. We will NEVER again use Expedia.

We have stayed at Nestor several times and it is always excellent. Facilities are good, staff always friendly and helpful, and location to town is very convenient.
We will continue to use Nestor as our base when in Ludwigsburg.

We went there for pumpkin festival and a say in Stuttgart. We arrived several hours early but they allowed us in our room right away. We parked at the hotel and took the train into Stuttgart. Easy walking to public transportation. This is our go to hotel when we want a weekend getaway to Stuttgart

This was my second stay at the Ludwigsburg Nestor. I stay here when I come to Germany to visit family.
The Nestor always delivers high quality at affordable prices. Comfortable rooms. Attentive staff. Incredible food.
If you’re planning to see the palace and gardens this is the best location. You can easily walk there via the path behind the hotel. It’s a beautiful walk with many photo opportunities.

The Nestor is a lovely place to stay in Ludwigsburg. It is only a short walk to the shopping centre and Schloss. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient. There is a restaurant and bar on site.

This hotel is in a historic building but is thoroughly modern in comfort and amenities. I have stayed here many times and love the hotel. It's just a short walk to the city center for shopping and dining, and to the Baroque palace and gardens a few blocks away. The buffet breakfast is a real treat.

Extremely warm room and the AC did not work. Is did notify the front desk about it but nothing happened. The stuff in the breakfast room were rather unfriendly and unprofessional to understand what and when would need to be done. Very poor “gym”.

nice property. staff friendly but lack proper front desk service. Because of VIO I received a late check out until 1 pm and then the evening before my departure I received a nite from the front desk manager asking me to leave by 10a. This hotel normal check out policy is by 11a.

We were on a weekend trip to celebrate my wife's birthday. They hotel did several things to make it special. Staff was friendly. The room was very comfortable, hotel food was very good, and location is within walking distance of the pumpkin festival and also easy drive to walk through vineyards. We would definitely stay there again.

Everything worked well. The hotel is big, a lot of people are there especially during the weekend’s but everything worked out well. Only small downside was that the room was really warm. After trying to adjust the ac nothing changed. Hopefully during the summer it’s not the same.

This hotel is in an historic building which also hosts conferences. So, the rooms are business standard rooms which is what I expected.
The highlight was the restaurant! Delicious elevated foods served impeccably. We each had three courses and enjoyed each.
Service and check-in were also very good. It is in the middle of the town within easy walking distance of the palace (gorgeous grounds) and university.

I enjoy the building's history and architecture, an artful blend of old and modern. The service and food are outstanding. It's location is also a plus, close to the city center, the Residence Schloss palace and garden, and a lovely treelined walkway. I've stayed there for one week each of the past five years, and highly recommended it.

There was quite a bit of renovation construction going on in the hotel, including around our room, which made it ugly and noisy. Not a pleasant experience at all.

Great hotel in a great location near King Ludwig's castle. My only (and very minor) complaint is the room charge during the week - a bit high for Ludwigsburg, and the HOTELS.COM 10% discount didn't work for this hotel. gg

I love the Nestor Hotel in Ludwigsburg. I've stayed there four years in a row for a conference and am always happy with the service and accommodations. The buffet breakfast is amazing. While the building is historic, the interior is modern and well-maintained. It is conveniently located near the city center shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel.

Reception staff were not friendly, staff in the dining room were very friendly with a smile everyday, room configurations at times (stayed twice) were small once you had your suitcases on the floor. Breakfast was very good.

Great location, easy walk to palace,park and shopsStaff was very helpful. Rooms modern and clean. Stayed with just me and my two kids and bed was fine to fit all 3. Reception rushed up extra lined right away to accommodate the extra person we had in the room. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we were to return.

This is a very nice hotel, well located and the staff is very friendly. There is no free internet connection inside the rooms. If you want to connect to the wish you have to come up to a few sofas in front of the reception desk.

We enjoyed a 2-week stay at Nestor Hotel and were quite pleased with everything, especially the air-conditioning during the August heat! Highly recommend this modern hotel with excellent dining and nice staff to help in all your needs. Location is superb, just across the street and a short walk from the city center shopping and only 2 blocks to the Ludwigsburg castle. Definitely will recommend to all friends and family and hope to stay there again in the near future.
