Lovely grounds, feels like having your own little countryside cottage among lush vegetation. The cottages might seem a little dated, rustic rather than luxurious. Service and attention to detail could have been better. Overall a pleasant stay but overpriced.

An excellent time here. As previously everything was perfect.

A little piece of heaven. The grounds, the rooms, the food, the team, everything was amazingly perfect. From little surprise touches (that I won't ruin for others) to the fun and beauty of the team. This is not a hotel, this is an experience and it should not be missed. We joined for honeymoon and hope to jo you again for a special anniversary or to renew our vows, if we are lucky. Highly recommend Zianos, which again was amazing. Thank you xx

The service from all of the staff was exceptional, the room was very comfortable, and the grounds beautifully kept.

Spectacular property. Lovely colonial style hotel which is a very pleasant place to spend a relaxing few days. The hotel room was small and comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and the restaurant, Zinzi, is amazing. Hope we can return.

What a wonderful, well-managed and comfortable place. Everything was just superb! Luxurious, but not ostentatious! much thought given by management to make each guest's experience very special. Fully and tastefully fitted bedrooms, fine restaurants and great menus make for a comfortable stay, with not a care in the world. One's every wish is taken care of, often without the need to express it!! The gardens are wonderful, and there is a secluded chapel in the woods. One can take easy, gentle walks around the estate to Tsala Tree Tops and the Zinzi Restaurant, each of which has an own special menu, setting and atmosphere! In my opinion, there are very few resorts/hotels in the country that can compete with Hunters Country House! It is just very special, and I shall be back very soon for more thoughtful pampering!!

Fabulous place. Utterly beautiful. Great staff and superb suite. Lots of little touches to ensure you are made to feel special.

I spent the most wonderful night at Hunters. From the moment I arrived until the moment I reluctantly left it felt like “I belonged”. The staff could not do enough for you, the meals were stupendous, and the comfort was outstanding. I really can’t praise it highly enough. My only regret was I was only there for the one night.

Lovely country hotel with excellent staff good restaurants and beautiful grounds. Very spacious rooms which have a lot of character. The suite we stayed in had quite a traditional decor. We would have preferred something a bit more contemporary and the age began to show as well.

Stunning location. Beautiful gardens and grounds. The thatched garden cottage was spotless, charming, comfortable and cozy. We were so thrilled to spend four days there. The staff was superb - helpful, friendly, acommodating and very attentive. Food was delicious, with many options. All of the little extra touches were so special and very much appreciated. We had a memorable 20th anniversary and hope to be back one day again.

The best hotel we stayed on our trip down the Garden Route. Amazing service and hospitality. We stayed in Room 7 and it was spacious and clean. Really wished we could have stayed longer!

Excellent and very special lodge, tastfully renovated and decorated, amazing service, wonderful large room, nice pool, beautiful garden and quiet location. Restaurant Zinzi was superb. We were sorry we only could stay one night

Lovely two night stay beautiful room even had a fire lit in our room when the weather turned chilly .it was my birthday and we received a complimentary bottle of champagne and in the evening all the staff sang happy birthday at dinner embarrassing but enjoyable ,we had a lovely meal and very reasonable at Zini restaurant we wanted to sit outside although a bit chilly lovely fire and patio heater kept us warm . SA hospitality above and beyond our expectations

Hard to fault this hotel. Thatched roof cottage rooms are splendid. Garden views are cool and tranquil. Three separate dining options offer variety and high quality. Staff are consistently helpful and smile a lot.

Spent two nights in this hotel. The restaurants on the property are excellent. This was a relaxing place.

We spent a couple of relaxing days at Hunter's on a recent tour of South Africa. It proved to be a very welcome--and welcoming--rest stop.
