A lovely, quiet spot in a great location. The staff were accomodating and friendly. Very enjoyable stay.

Set on a golf course, this characterful hotel has lovely staff and a superb restaurant. I will be visiting again!

Great staff and relaxing

Perfect place to take our 2 dogs. Plenty of space to take them for walks and the room was spacious and clean. No doggy smells lingering at all. It’s personal choice. Some may say it’s old and tired but I loved the wooden panelling, the wooden furniture and traditional features and textiles. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Very quiet and peaceful abd very comfy bed. Only flaw was flush of toilet which wasn’t great but we overlooked this as everything else was perfect for US! We will definitely be using this hotel as our go to place when visiting family in Kent from now on.

We had an issue during our stay. We tried to be fair and reasonable about it, but we did not receive an update prior to our departure. It’s a sprawling hotel with minimal CCTV and very old key locks. The rooms are extremely dated. The shower is hot, but not by any means a power shower. The toilet flush was weak. The rooms are however very clean, as is the entire hotel. All the staff we met including the manager were very friendly and polite. There is a surcharge for dogs we were not aware of. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant area. Service was good in the restaurant and the food was reasonably priced. We would not return to this hotel and would not recommend it to friends.

The surrounding’s were lovely the Staff were very nice the Hotel Bedroom was basic the Bed was very uncomfortable lumpy didn’t sleep the rooms need updating the bathroom needs to be replaced old bath and shower system cobwebs all around the window it’s a shame because it’s a beautiful place to look at.

Nice quiet hotel in centre of Golf Course, so wonderfully quiet in morning, nice views over the greens. Great breakfast next day, self service, but plentiful and hot. Plenty of parking, so good for those driving, but inside ULEZ for those that need to pay. The overall decor and furnishings are quite tired, so past its best, waiting for a refurbishment, but kept clean. Haven’t seen many places that still have round pin plug options! Plenty of standard plugs though. Kettle and tea coffee in rooms very welcome.

The standard of the evening meal was poorly cooked

The fire alarm went off twice in the early hours and this wasn't commented on on our checkout.

Stayed here a few years ago and it was” tired “ then and has not been updated. Quiet location in good surroundings but could do with an update.

Upgraded room, but not really worth it. Got a 4 poster bed, but room was dark and similar size to standard room. Sorry, but breakfast terrible. Served breakfast until 10am Sunday. We arrived at 9:15 and everything was cold and had been sitting around for a while and needed replacing. Only one half of toaster working. So in a hotel of this size could only cook 2 pieces of toast at a time. Selection not great. Hotel is charging far too much for the quality of rooms, service and food.

Staff polite and caring but we found the hotel exterior rather tied and in need of a good cleanup! Literally … the outside was very shabby! The golf course however was immaculately kept… we wondered why the same care was not given to all areas. The hotel rooms appear dated.

Comfortable stay in quiet hotel. Dated decor but very clean and everything worked well. Shower easy to use and water hot. The room was extremely peaceful with a view over the golf course. Ate in the restaurant which was reasonably priced and had a very varied menu. Good breakfast with cooked options and fruit salad, cereal toast etc. Would use this hotel again.

Room had no air con. No fan , windows opened a little could not sleep. Breakfast bufffet was basic food was hot though which is rare nowadays!

Short 1 night business stay, set in amongst the beautifully manicured golf course. A very nice cooked buffet breakfast. The room was very spacious and clean. There was a full dinner menu available and within a short walk there were other shops and pubs

Hotel has definitely gone downhill. The Four-Poster Bedroom was unclean and not refreshed despite staying here for 2 nights. Definitely not worth the upgrade fee and breakfast was mediocre, to say the least, with very basic customer service!

This place is outdated, in poor condition and needs an update. We stayed here 3 years ago and it needed a facelift then but the rooms are from the 1970s, the beds are extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom is old and the water from the shower paours out onto the floor even with the shower curtain in place. The room was too warm as well and the bedding itchy and rough. I would not stay again. .

Nice, inexpensive hotel. Perhaps in need of some investment in the rooms, they are rather outdated. Food good, staff very good too.

This was just an overnight stay as visiting family, so we didn't use the facilities. The room was comfortable although a little dated. The shower was very poor, needs updating .

Hotel needs updating. Furniture had stains on it and curtains hard to pull. Shower was cold or piping hot. Breakfast was nice.

Room fine for overnight stay,thank fully quieter than previous stays. Hotel and rooms are now looking a bit dated. Could be a lovely place if it was given a bit of an upgrade. Lovely grounds.
