We had a very good experience at this hotel! We stayed three nights, we liked this hotel very much! This old style hotel has beautiful views and clean rooms also on the beach! The food in their restaurant are excellent! I recommended the tuna steak or tuna sashimi! Definitely I will go back this hotel soon! Thank you for your wonderful service!

This hotel is beautiful very special and tropical everything was so nice the slide in the pool was so much fun, right near the beach, the steps keep you in shape, so close to shopping, just perfect stay we will stay here again next time we make a trip out to Zihua also the safe transportation was great, amazing all around 11/10

Excellent service and magnificent view!

The staff are amazing and polite, always aiming to please. The beach is also stunning and being able to go downstairs and enjoy it from your hotel is a plus. The AC works wonderfully to the point we actually have to turn it off. Amazing hotel, will definitely come back.

Fans or vent is needed in the restaurant especially when it’s hot and humid

The hotel was beautiful! Even nicer than the pics. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There were even 2 parrots in the lobby area that said Hello and Hola, adorable! Room was clean and had every amenity we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aura Del Mar. The hotel has many amenities and direct access to the beach. Service was great too; highly recommend!

Property and staff are amazing!

My 9 year old son and I stayed at Aura del Mar for Spring Break 2024. While the hotel is not kid focused or running over with screaming kids, it is kid friendly. The pool area is lovely, with plenty of different lounging areas in the shade. It's a bonus that the excellent and reasonably priced Bistro Del Mar is on the beach level, as they were consistently delivering food and drinks up to guests at the pool. I considered it to be in the ideal location in Zihuatanejo, as it's a 10 minute walk north to the city center. Along the way, there are several highly regarded restaurants. Plus, Maderas right next door on the beach is also a great spot. Additionally, there are some true gem restaurants and coffee shops within several blocks of the hotel itself. In the other direction is Playa Ropa, which is a 15-20 minute walk, first uphill and then down. The cabs were 450 MXN (about $28) each way, about a 15-20 minute drive. As others have said, it's nice that there's a small convenience store across the street for room necessities. The hotel provides plenty of bottled and filtered water at no cost. We didn't have any luck being able to book any excursions ahead of time, but the concierge Carlos was able to get us set up with fishing, zip lining and the sea turtle experience. The rooms overall had everything needed - a working air conditioner, Wifi, and cable TV. We enjoyed playing cards on our balcony before heading out to dinner.

Place is the nicest we've stayed in mexico. Actually better than anything in Hawaii or the us for that matter. The best staff, Abel at the sunset bar is a gem.

Absolutely beautiful property with friendly and engaging staff who got out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Our room was immaculately cleaned each morning with turn down service at night. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to visit Zihua.

This is a beautiful property with all the greenery and flowers and great views. We enjoyed the Macaws, turtles, and even a huge iguana. Everyone is so friendly and helpful! We couldn't have asked for a better location as you can walk to everything. I booked rather late so most of the rooms were sold out, so we got a bottom room in the corner. Next time, I will book earlier and get a room a couple of floors up.

What a beautiful place! Gorgeous room, stunning views, extraordinarily good restaurant and brilliant service, all on a lovely beach with great swimming. The service was impeccable, the pool absolutely lovely. This is a mountainside property, so everything is up and down flights of stairs, so that's worth mentioning. But all in all, everything we could have wanted.

Old Mexico charm with modern amenities, down to the parrots that greet you when you pass. Watch the sunset with the best Cadillac margarita. Direct beach access. Swimming pool with plenty of lounges to nap in the shade. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We love staying here. Our fourth time!

These folks always do a great job. We have been here many times and have never been disappointed.

We arrived early and I have to say they were amazing, they let us have an early check in , which was great ! The hotel is very cute but many many stairs .. rooms are cozy but, do need some upgrades as well as the bathroom ( shower head and mirror ). Staff was great for the exception of Salvador at the pool, it’s like he is being forced to work there ., honestly very rude. Glendy was amazing ! overall a good quiet stay .,

Very old, but well maintained, excellent staff. Rooms were very dark, lighter paint would help, dark furniture and doors didn't help.

Beautiful property, our room had a terrace overlooking the bay and the sky was beautiful at sunset. The slide into the pool is a fun extra, and the pool is very clean, relaxing and pretty. The path along the coast to town is lovely and I felt safe. The staff are so friendly and kind. The restaurant is wonderful too!

From the time of making my reservation through my departure everything was just perfect. Every staff member did go out of their way to make sure we were properly assisted. My family and I absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to be back. Mr. Vargas who I believe is the General Manager took the time to call me and assured I was getting a specific request as I was there for my sister who is dealing with a condition. He could have not done better than what he did! So Grateful and beyond satisfied 🙏🙏🙏 Will recommend and will be back
