Lovely location, close to the citadel and ports. Comfortable and clean room. Complimentary cocktails on 5th floor breakfast room/ bar with an exceptional view. Breakfast had variety and was substantial. Most of all, the concierge staff was helpful, attentive, and kind.

The hotel is a very short wslk from the Old Town with all its restaurants and other attractions. Our room on the 5th gloor had a wonderful view over the neighbouring buildings out to sea. The breakast was good. There was some building work going on in the hotel when we were there in esrly June but this did not disturb us.

A good hotel near the city center. The hotel is under the reconstruction, but it isn't problem. Very good breakfast, in the 5th floor, with beautiful view. You have to pay for the Spa, two people 50 euro per hour, I think, it's very expensive. We didn't try it. The staff is very kind and helpful

Reno’s almost complete. We used 10E/day parking for our small vehicle. View from balcony nice, but view from breakfast room fantastic. Could have sat there all day. Nice breakfast. As close as you can stay to old town but still drive to door.

Whilst there was some noise from building works on top floor and surrounding late opening clubs, it would be harsh to critisize our stay based on that.

It is a nice hotel, nice hotel room, nice employees. What i missed abit about the room was a little table for the balcony. The breakfast was very very boring, i wish there was some warm food like scrambled eggs and bacon. Do i recommend this hotel? yes!

Older hotel a little bit removed from the old town but still really close to everything. Staff at front desk spoke English well and recommended some food restaurants. A little bit of noise audible in rooms but not a serious problem. Overall good value for money.

The property was dated but clean and good location. The “spa” amenity was disappointing as you needed an appointment to use facilities that were “included” with stay but was booked both days there. We were not even permitted to look at the spa area and wee chased out.

Great hotel in the center of Alghero. Amazing view from top floor bar/breakfast. Lovely service. Completely adequate for the price and its 3 star rating. Would definitely stay again.

- Room given had 1 bed had booked for 2. - No signs on floors means you have to walk all corridor to find your room. - Passport wasn’t given back when we went for dinner (as per usual) and so next day we left without them -ok we forgot to ask for the but still... thank god they called us before we’d driven too far on our way to airport. It’s not THAT HARD to deliver BASIC service!!!

It’s a city hotel. Nothing special but the price was great. Location was also very good. Clean overall.

It was seriously so nice. The perfect mix of comfort and modern! The front desk clerk (male guy with glasses) was super nice and went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated properly. We usually don’t buy breakfast at hotels but this one was well worth it. Large selection of fresh juices and even had bacon! The ladies working at the breakfast counter were sweet! Book this hotel!

La Margherita is brilliantly located around the corner from the historic center city-which is magical at night. It is also close to lovely beaches. We arrived before checkin, but our room was already available. We had to leave at 5am the next morning and the front desk arranged a cab for us. The hotel has a wonderful c.1950s-60s air about it. It has been kept in good order and was quite comfortable. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. We didn't have time to use the spa facilities downstairs - but they looked lovely as well.

Firstly let me say the staff are brilliant and hiw they keep a smile on their face is beyond me. This property has had no money spent on it in a long while. The rooms are a throw back to the 1960s, with furniture ive seen on a rubbish tip. The sun terrace that looks so nice on the photos and is advertised in the hotel reception is derelict. The spa area on the basement has a very weird smell and the pool water looks like in needs draining and cleaning. Breakfast was like a holiday camp with bad tasting coffee, and a watered down orange juice.

The room was a family room and spacious with 2 balconies. There were mosquitos in the room, not the hotels fault but if staying here it would be better to keep the balcony doors closed. The room had not been cleaned properly before we arrived, there was a sock under the bed and underwear in the bedside drawer! The breakfast is continental and OK. The swimming pool is lovely but it was not on the expedia reservation that it costs 4 euro per person to hire a robe, slippers and hat. Without these you cannot use it. This was an extra 16 for a family with 2 kids which is excessive when the room was already 95 euro.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a good location. The shower was a bit complicated to use. The spa was relaxing and came in useful on the day it rained.

we enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect for our plans, the staff was really friendly and had excellent hints in terms of beaches (less crowdy and touristic), the hotel has private parking (for a fee) but we even found free parking very close to the hotel

Stayed 5 days in this hotel wasnt overly impressed with certain things . It really did not look like the photos that were advertised firstly . The spa facilities are not free just the pool which you have to pay 4 Euros for bathrobe etc . The room I stayed in the bed was extremely uncomfortable and was two singles pushed together and one of the mattresses was so bad my back was killing me . There were ants all over the bathroom and the shower was rusted . I was bitten by bugs the whole week I was there . The floor I stayed on smelt like chlorine from the pool was making me sick . The only thing good about this hotel was the breakfast , location was not too far out of the old town and two of the receptionists that could speak English were very helpful but I would not recommend it .
