Nice hotel right in front of the train station. Good facilities and service. It also has discount for private parking.

Great location, very friendly staff. Parking in the train station parking right next to the hotel with reduced rate. Nice breakfast. Art prints in the lobby and room walls. Only thing to improve was the air conditioning which is dated and sometimes very loud.

As the name explains convenient for the station . The room was compact clean and the bathroom /shower perfectly acceptable . The price was not expensive so I was not expecting luxury . The only comment doesn't really reflect on the hotel as double glazing is good . Unfortunately vagrants ( I assume that was who they were ) seemed to like shouting about 3 am which was not good for sleep . Otherwise for a few nights stay very good The town is kept very tidy sweepers out all day long and the station area is pleasant during the day and evening .

The pillow had a terrible smell and the bed was hard as a rock! We slept for a couple of hours only! As a hotel your priority should be on sleeping comfortably and then the rest...

The hotel is very convenient as a stopover on the way to Corsica.

If you want to be close to the train station, this hotel is perfect. Friendly staff, good internet, and nice air conditioning.

We had such a great stay at this hotel. We booked it for convenience to the train station, and were pleasantly surprised at the ease to all parts of the city...and we walked!!! The front desk was so helpful to us and the room was clean and spacious. A quiet hotel even across from the train station. I would absolutely stay here again when we return for another visit!

We loved this little hotel! Super location near train station and old town with nice room views over the station. Quirky decor and very helpful staff. Rooms are on the small side but not too smell. Comfy beds. Breakfast could use more fruit. Nice coffee machines and pastries.

A very useful hotel for travellers passing through Toulon. Basic accommodation with the essential amenities. Clean and with friendly, helpful staff. Only 30 metres from the entrance to Toulon SNCF station.

Lack of space wad a real problem, but yhe stsff wete really lovely and nothing was too much trouble. It was greay to get coffee frim the dining room whenever I wanted it and I used it a lot. The breakfasr ar 11 Euros was probably a little on the pricey side, so we had breakfast outside. Great, handy locTion and a good comfy bed.Id stay again.

Good hotel if you are getting a train or ferry from Toulon. Clean and very good bed.

Location across the street from the train station is very convenient, and the staff were helpful and friendly. But the room was very disappointing. Very small and plain, no hot water in the shower - it was barely lukewarm - and no blanket on the bed, just a sheet! Even though the weather was warm, the hotel is air conditioned (one of the reasons we chose it) and without a blanket, even a light one, I was uncomfortable. Plus both the bed and the pillow were lumpy, so not a great night's sleep all together. We were supposed to return for a second night next week before taking the train back to CDG but cancelled our reservation and booked elsewhere

Good location near train, buses and car rental.... kind of a basic place but clean and kept up... slippery shower, great for short stay and super handy, and yes I would stay again... great price.

This hotel is across the road from the train station which was perfect for us as we were travelling along the south coast of France. Toulon is a wonderful place and this hotel lets you see it all because you can walk everywhere. There are lots of little squares and restaurants close by, including the theatre. There was also an Irish pub nearby which we went to for a few hours. There were good transport links due to the busses to the train station, so easy to get to and from the Old Port and the beaches. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated to a high standard, and the bathroom is great with a spacious shower cubicle. Would definitely recommend, though not too accessible with a small lift.

I selected this hotel, even though it was not cheap, because we had a lot of heavy baggage and it was convenient to Toulon train station. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone with heavy baggage. The hotel is old and tired and does not warrant the 3-stars it claims to be. The entrance was not so obvious - we first thought it was the entrance to a pub. A small desk at the front door serves as Reception. You then lug your baggage up some steps to a little lounge area. Thankfully there is a baggage room but I do not think it is locked, so be sure to lock your stuff. The steps do not end there. We took the elevator up and into a different part of the building. You are faced with a narrow corridor with a couple of steps up to the rooms. The room is okay.. bit small. The bathroom, nothing special. The hotel itself is accessed via a little step from the pavement and the only parking to unload is a space on the pavement between two trees and is not exactly obvious. We ended up parking in the station carpark at a whopping 2 euros per 15 minutes! I did not like that check in is late- 3pm but check out is fairly early. The personnel at the front desk are pleasant and speak English, if required. After a short wait they managed to find us a room that was ready a bit before the 3pm check-in. Personally I do not think this hotel is good value for the 70- 80 euros we paid. We should have remained at our cheaper, more comfortable hotel and used a taxi to the station.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Grand Hotel de la Gare. I think that for the price, I was expecting less. The room was comfortable, roomy, and very clean. I didn't have all that much interaction with the hotel staff, but in my experience, everyone was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel doesn't have a lot of frills, but if what you need is a comfortable bed and a good shower near the railway station, it's the perfect choice. I plan to stay there again when I need a room in Toulon, and I would certainly recommend the hotel to friends.
