Outside city centre. A bit of a shady street

Had a very enjoyable 3-day stay. Owners were very friendly and happy to assist with any travel planning. Room was comfortable and clean albeit a little dated. 10 minute walk to centre of town although buses that run on the road the hotel is on go into town or directly to Cheltenham (in the other direction) so a convenient spot to stay.

Room was clean, comfortable and extremely quiet.

A normal hotel experience - nothing special to say.

Excellent value for money. Free parking at rear of property with access gained from lane alongside England's Glory pub. Under ten minutes walk from train station. Easy walk into city centre. Leave car here as there will be no free parking nearer. Nice size room with fridge to store food and cold drinks. Microwave to warm up food and plates/ cutlery available on request, gave it an apartment feel. Comfy bed and clean ensuite. Didn't sample either of two breakfast options. Might have, if more had been available. E.g. scrambled egg on toast.

Well placed hotel with friendly staff, just a bit old fashioned. Our double bed was quiet small and someone threw bread on the flat roof outside our window so we were disturbed by birds which was a shame. No issues with cleanliness, helpful staff and on site parking meant overall good value.

This is charming place to stay outside the hustle and bustle. The building has character and the owners are great. You feel it is somewhere cosy you have stayed before. Would highly recommend

This was a diamond in the rough, The Edward being the Diamond. Check in was easy and effortless, room size great as it had a wee lounge.Bed SUPER comfy First hotel / b&b that had a fridge .Breakfast was either Cooked Full English or Continental, which was lovely , Thank you for a lovely stay

Everything you need for a self-contained home from home en-suite room. Very quiet and restful. Having it's own parking available, so near to town is a definite plus.

Friendly guest house, all staff were very polite and helpful, cooked breakfast was very nice and freshly cooked. Beds were comfy and bedding clean and fresh, facilities in the room were great with small fridge, kettle and microwave, cups and refreshments supplied. Would stay again.

A very comfortable room, with tea making facilities, close to town and station, lovely cooked breakfast(not included in price but very reasonable) Friendly staff. Would definitely use again.

I found the hotel was absolutely brilliant the staff was so lovely and friendly the hotel was so clean the breakfast the food was so nice I can't believe that into a hotel that was so pleasant I will return thank you so much for the staff who made me feel so welcome

I enjoy staying at the hotel as I can prepare meals for myself. The single room is warm, clean and cosy. Breakfast is available if you would like. Its walkable to the city centre, train and bus station. Great links to nearby areas.

Staff/owner very friendly and helpful. Relocated us when my mobility issues were seen. Unsure if we actually had the room type we had booked, but room perfectly fine. Good value for money. Local knowledge from owner helped us decide what to do with our time.

Short brake but lovely stay

When we first arrived and found someone to help us we were shown through to a tired looking reception. The owner came to check us in, at first I thought he was wearing his vest, although I now think it was a t shirt. The room was clean, although very tired. The bed however was very clean and very comfortable. We were kept awake on our first night by the gentleman upstairs talking for ages. My husband went up to ask him to keep the house down and he said he was working?? I’m assuming some people were actually living there? No room servicing unless requested. Instead a basket left outside with towels etc although we weren’t told about this and only found out when I picked up the note left on top of the basket. I suppose you get what you pay for, but do t expect we’ll be recommending this hotel to our friends.

We have really enjoyed our stay at the Edward Hotel. A short walk to the centre, and convenient parking on site. The property was well kept, as was the room. The room was spacious, quiet and the bed very comfortable. Would recommend.

Very clean and comfortable the only thing i would say is that I could clearly hear everything that was happening in the room next door which can become irritating if you are a light sleeper.

Comfy well presented rooms, bedroom and sitting room. Room was clean, staff very friendly. Good choice of TV channels unlike some hotels. Breakfast was good, choice or cooked or continental. Would happily stay again if in the area

Large well appointed and clean room. Excellent location adjacent to City Centre, Cathedral and Rugby Ground with parking on site. Only negative was fault with shower temperature controller which was not fixed for second night. Would stop again due to location and value.

Arrived early to park the car in there car park and spend the day in Gloucester. Let them know I was leaving the car there and they said our room was ready and we could check in, so that was a bonus. The room was spacious, large shower room. Fridge, microwave and kettle was ideal if needed. Friendly service and knowledgeable about the local area and we was given a map with local sites and restaurants. Great pub 200yards away. Would defiantly stay there again if visiting Gloucester

Very comfortable stay and the breakfast was nice. Having parking was very good.

Rooms need updating. Block out curtains would assist with morning light. Staff were nice and provided good information the City and it's highlights. Room very quiet.
