This Holiday Express is old & dated, in poor condition and awful compared to the very nice hotels around it. We've stayed only with Holiday Express for decades while traveling nationwide, business & pleasure. This place is a dump. The bkfast food was not even edible. Furnishings are old, bathroom shower & tub faucet did not work, linens old. Water all over floor to the elevator & elevator was all wet; ice machines were out of service. The LaQuinta next door is being gutted & remodeled. This Holiday Inn hotel should be as well.

We arrived late and tired. She sent us up to our room and our key didn’t work. We lugged all of our bags back down, went back up and our key didn’t work again. She arrived with a shady looking maintenance guy and they fixed it. Finally in our room. Heat didn’t work. Shady looking maintenance guy is now in our room fixing the heat unit. Dust and hair on top of fridge. Hair ball inside of the shower. Just look around downstairs everything needs to be wiped down and a fresh coat of paint won’t hurt. Disappointed for the price I paid.

The check in was excellent, friendly guy by himself making it all happen on a Saturday night.
The room was clean however the shower had some type of hole in the bottom and there was some what looked like mold around the bottom. The over head light in the bathroom was cracked and one bulb worked but wasn’t bright . The other was missing completely.the hot tub had a panel on the front that was held on by Velcro and just didn’t look very clean. So we passed on it even though I paid extra for one .
The bed was good . We found old pretzels on the floor was the previous tenant.
The ceiling over the bed was starting to fall down from what looked like a water leaking.
Over all decent place but could definitely use some renovations.
The ice machine was out or order first floor so if you want ice be prepared to make it up to the 3rd floor.
Breakfast is always good here. Lots of real food cooked hot and fresh by the staff.

Kerig coffee pot was dirty, refrigerator didn’t work and smelled horrible..cinnamon rolls were severely overcooked or leftovers from day before..didnt try anything else.

The desk clerk and hospitality staff were amazing! The building itself was in poor condition. Floor in my room was soaked from A/C condensation. Tile cracked throughout the bathroom and gaps in much of the grout as well. Scratches, vulgarity, scuffs all over elevators and some walls. Only one ice machine in entire hotel was working. No water in the gym. I think my expectations were higher because they are the highest priced hotel in Sherman. I felt duped.

This is an older hotel in need of repair! The bathroom floor tile lacked grout, the AC never cooled our room enough to sleep comfortably! The elevator made loud popping noises making you wish you had taken the stairs. On a positive note, the young man at the front desk was a positive joy!

On entering the lobby there was a disting smell of sewerage or even worse. The desk clerk took an eternity to serve me. The keycard issued took 5 mins to operate the room door and then I could not get the keys to work when I re-entered the room. The desk clerk accompanied me to the door and eventually shoulder charged the door after attempts to open it failed. The room was clean but well-worn. The only redeeming feature was that breakfast was ok. I would not use this hotel again. In the surrounding hotels hispanic looking workers played loud music and congregated at 10:45pm onwards which was not what many elderly or female guest would probably appreciate or want to tolerate.

This is an older hotel and is outdated. Toilet had bad stains or it was dirty and bathroom countertops were discolored. Furniture was old and beds were rickety. Smell as you walked in was terrible, like sewer. Not worth the $$ I paid!!

This property was very old and had a very bad odor to it. Also, I booked two rooms at the same time and they were on two different floors. My son saw a cockroach come out of the drink dispenser at breakfast. Overall, I was very disappointed.

It was in as good a condition as you can expect from an older property. Conveniently located for restaurants in Sherman.

The facility wasn’t ready when we tried to check in at 3:30. The sleeper sofa was broken and was unusable and only for a single occupant. The suite was listed to sleep 7 but could only accommodate 4.

So I was surprised not what I expected for a Holiday in. Pull out couch missing sheets. Bathroom dirty. You could feel the soap scum on the walls of the shower. Plus top ledge to put shampoo bottles had a whole layer of soap like someone left a bar up there and it disintegrated. No towels clean towels by the pool, but a pile in the hallway on the floor.

Cockroach size of a thumb in bathroom. Rooms are old. Beds sinking. Not worth the $178 I paid to stay at this dump. Pool area is old and ran down. My kid got scratches on his chin and shoulder from the rough concrete under the water. Breakfast was good.

Elevator was broken had to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs. No hot water. Sink in bathroom did not drain right. Carpet stained. Ice machines broke. Card key did not work to get in facility. Got locked out. TV did not work. No channels. Paid for jacuzzi room and it did not work well shut off after 2 minutes. Terrible stay for the price.

The property location was great, but this property has not been properly maintained and it is time to update the the rooms. Also, we experienced alot of noise from the room above us nightly and it was hard to rest. We contacted the front desk and I'm assuming they contacted the other guest, so the noise was down for the first night, but every night we experienced kids jumping up and down. So we didn't get much rest and on our trip. We were up visiting ailing family and it would have been nice to have the elevator and ice machine working. We chose this facility oppose to our usual and based on the brand we look for better. Just time to update the units furniture and bedding. Also, need to improve the lighting around the facility due to duck off view of the hotel.

Check in was good, but the elevators were not working. Some ice machines were broken. Good selection for breakfast, but hot food was no hot at all. Room was clean, but bathroom needs a little repair.

This hotel needs to shut down for renovation. We noted that it was going to be at some point. The room was dirty and in desperate need of a thorough cleaning and updating. Portions of the shower handle (hot/cold description and directions) were not even connected. The service staff were friendly and very supportive. We will not stay there again until it is renovated and we hope that is soon.

Hotel is nothing fancy. The furniture had stains, there were some loose tiles in the bathroom. Desperately needs updating and new furniture.

We found a dead cockroach in the bathtub. The mattress was awful with very little coverage. The morning revealed no hot water for the entire hotel. This hotel needs updating. We are waiting to see is we receive extra points for our inconvenience.
