Booked very last minute, warm welcome from reception. The room was immaculate, modern and clean. Bed was very comfortable, shower was great. Had room service, slightly limited as a vegetarian but had a lovely pizza. Would definitely stop again when in the area

Overall a pleasant stay for a 2 night business trip. Bar staff were friendly and great at recommending drinks etc. Breakfast choice is minimal and more choice could be offered. Bed had a strange plastic protector under sheet, which made an awful scrunching sound when ever you moved and made the bed very hot. 10 minute drive from the old town meant it was easy to explore in the evenings.

close to the railway and road, but overall it is fine. breakfast is nice, restaurant is perfect. but no water cooking, it is a pity. Wifi is not good.

Hotel is fine if you want a place to stay while visiting the city. Staff was friendly and helpful at suggesting places to visit. However, the hotel is located in one side of a roundabout which makes difficult to get in if you dont know the city or thats the first time youre there. Lack of signaling to hotel and the absence of a number for the hotel on its address makes it more difficult. We were wandering around for about 30 minutes trying to access this property from the roundabout. Otherwise, the hotel is a good and nice place to stay and enjoy Guimaraes.Ah, at least in our room, there was no way to control the temperature of the air conditioning.... it was so hot that we had to open the windows at night.

Nice spa. Good location. Good staff. Good rooms. Beds are hard. We have stayed here many times

This hotel was well maintained and clean, and the family room we had was large and spacious with a good view over the city. The bed was large if a little hard, and the sofa bed was fine for a child. Breakfast was good, with a solid range of choices. The walk to the city centre is about 10 minutes downhill, not too bad uphill to walk back. Free parking too with quick route to the motorway if touring.

Like most beds in Portugal these are very firm and hard to sleep on.

Don't let the 1970 exterior of this excellent hotel put you off - inside they have spent some serious money on upgrading the buiding. Comfortable beds, walk in showers, bidet, up to date sanitaryware, smart carpets. Breakfast buffet caters for most tastes. Free parking and WiFi. Friendly staff. Plus a very good Spa centre with indoor pool, steam room, sauna (separte male / femail facilities). Restaurant was high quality, and reasonable cost for a hotel. Great value for money, and a location 10 min walk away from the ancient city centre of Guimaeres. Recommended.

Contemporary hotel, comfortable room, good location

The room was clean a quiet. The breakfast was a complete buffet with many options. I would stay there again. English was easily spoken by the staff

The hotel is very old, furniture is old, bed not very comfortable, shower didn't work. Needs renovation. The hotel staff are nice and friendly.

Hotel was excellent but there is a lacking of personnel. Noone to help with luggage and noone who knows the local information like train and bus routes and schedules. noone explans the hotel services like pool and health club which once I found tnem turned out to be very nice. There are also two restrauants in the hotel that noone tells you about. The staff at this hotel needs to learn to be more informative and helpful.

Very good overall experience. Room was superb with the only normal problem of a bit of space once you open your suitcase. However the Room in general was of very good size. Bathroom was of very high standard as well. excellent Hi Def flat panel T.V in the room Breakfast was very good with ample choices . Stuff very helpful. There was a Train Strike on my departure date and i was given some help with arranging a Taxi ride to Porto. Also some help with my questions as to where to visit and how to get there. Wi-Fi Internet was free in the room, much appreciated. I was on the 7th floor, not sure if it had anything to do with it but i found out it was very very slow however when i plugged the Computer to the wall (electrical cord, not wired Internet) it seem to be faster. unusual but that how it was. Hotel is within walking distance from the Old City and all sites you want to visit. It is however up slope a long street so you do need to be fit for repeated trips. Easier to go out then to come back. otherwise there is bus service that can be used.
