The stay was lovely mostly: clean, comfortable and the staff were gravious and helpful.
They are doing a lot of upgrading so there are workmen and noise during the day. Also thevrooms that look over the river get traffic noise.

Nice modern hotel on riverbank of this quaint town with good restaurants within a few minutes walk. The only issue is that the rooms are relatively small.

Super stay ideally located on the edge of the old town on the banks of the Dordogne, planned to take a train to Bordeaux from the nearby station but the reliable French decided on a National Strike! We visited St Emilion instead which is lovely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The chap who dealt with our check-in was so very very helpful - a delight to talk to (sorry - we did ask his name but we have forgotten it!). We felt the parking was very secure. Our room was very comfy with a lovely view of the river. We have stayed in this hotel once before - we shall return again.

Hotel was certainly not of the same standard as other hotels we stayed at in France. The other issue was that there were no restaurants open at night which meant we had to have microwave snack meals in the bar.

We chose this hotel as a base to explore St. Emilion and also to be close to the Bordeaux airport. The hotel was a bit difficult to locate, but once we were there we found it very satisfactory. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the rooms were a good size and the shower was great. A very quiet place to stay and the secure parking was on the premises. I think we made a very good choice by choosing Hotel Mercure and can recommend it to anyone who wishes to visit the area nearbyl. The breakfast was very good with more options than other hotels we have stayed at.

Rooms with sheltered balcony, overlooking the junction of Dordogne and Isle rivers. Breakfast included! Can park on quai across the street. Easy navigation in and out of town. Can walk to some restaurants. Helpful staff, modern rooms but with a piece of medieval wall in the reception area.

We stayed in Libourne overnight before taking the train to Paris. The room was small but comfortable and clean. We were given a choice of shower or bath (with overhead shower) on arrival and were also able to check in early. The staff were very helpful and ordered an early taxi for us the following day. The hotel fronts the river but our room looked onto a school yard which could be noisy at sometimes of the year. We didn't eat at the hotel although this was an option. We were not overwhelmed by Libourne as a place but found a choice of restaurants about 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. It suited us for an overnight stop but I wouldn't want to stay longer in the town.
