No aircon and internet is not working properly (great when travelling with two teenagers....). Breakfast is not worth 15 eur/person. I would not have chosen this hotel had I known there was no aircon (it was specified on hotel.com). Several others have commented on the aircon and it is not ok the hotel do not get it corrected. Beds are fairly hard and it was not a pleasent night/stay.

Good location and well service

No aircon and with windows open there is lots of road noise, but not all night. The bed was a little on the lumpy side but overall the bedroom and bathroom were acceptable. Food good and polite staff

Very nice hotel! The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was great. Location is perfect, walking distance to everything you need.

The room/hotel was clean and in a perfect location, close to both the train station and Schwerin Castle. While it doesn't have AC, my room didn't need it during my stay in late May. The windows open and provide a cool breeze from the waterfront.

I found the staff unfriendly though and not very customer focussed, the best way to describe it would be to say it felt as though the manager was away and the staff were enjoying the break! It is an old building and there was no air conditioning in my room. The weather was warm when I was visiting in August and when I asked for a fan for my room I was told that they didn't have any. For a hotel positioning itself at the top end of the market, this struck me as a bit poor.

It's a good Hotel in historical Style located very closen to historic down town - but didn't fullfill the expectations due to the higher price level.

You will enjoy staying at the Niederländischer Hof Schwerin. The location provides a great view of the lake and an easy walk to restaurants and shopping. The castle is only a few minutes walk as well. The room was outstanding: roomy, well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast (for additional cost) was very nice with a full complement of options. You will love this place.

The hotel is small but provides an excellent location and is walkable to the train station. Breakfast was good. Hotel staff does not speak much English.

Excellent location and the room was great

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The rooms were simple, with flourishes of luxury. The feather beds were new and perfect for the coolish winter weather. The bathrooms, while kind of small, had all been redone in black veined marble - very nice. There was an electric towel heater. Downstairs, they furnished a very nice breakfast for a supplement. Its right on the teich, dowb the block from the Haupt Bahnhoff, and you could not ask for a kinder concierge. I loved the large old fashioned keys that you picked up at the front desk. An old world experience, not to be missed if you appreciate that sort of thing, and I do.

This is a great hotel choice in Scherwin. It is quite convenient to the train station in a lovely location along the lake. The rooms are traditional and comfortable as is the lobby. The only small problem we had with our room is that the lamp shades are not made for people who like to read in bed--the light is directed down and is very hard to direct onto your book. Our bathroom was large and well appointed. Service was very good. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. A computer is available free of charge in the lobby. The bar just off the lobby is very comfortable. We were even given a voucher for a complimentary sherry which we very much enjoyed. We did not have breakfast provided in our room rate and found the charge for the full breakfast a bit too high. We wished that they had had a continental breakfast as an option. Instead, we just ate at a local coffee shop.
