This is by far not a 5 star experience!
The staff and services is awful.
We placed laundry service and they delayed the return by more then 24 hours, which completely delayed our travel plans and departure to another location.
There is no manager on property and in charge.
The front desk lady is rude and unprofessional.
In addition we had to park our own car and bring our own luggage to the room.

This was our first visit to Piran and to the Grand Hotel Bernardin. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We encountered several rude staff immediately upon arrival. The front desk staff did not offer a welcome and performed their duties completely detached from any level of hospitality and professionalism. There were no smiles, and no effort to make guests feel welcome.
After checking in, we discovered the fellow who brought our bags to our room leaning on the bags when we arrived. He appeared upset and impatient although we were only a few minutes behind him. My husband and I felt that we were a big inconvenience to him despite the fact that helping us with our luggage was part of his job.
Then we encountered more rude behaviour at the front desk when we asked for directions to the centre of Piran. The fellow who helped us asked which town we wanted to see? We explained we’d like to see the centre of the town we were in. He seemed to make a game of not giving us the simple directions. So, we relied on Google to help us navigate the way.
At breakfast I asked one of the restaurant staff where I might find hot water for tea. The female server did not say good morning, did not respond in a friendly manner but yelled out ‘machine’ while pointing at a distance to the coffee machine.
Overall, the service at this hotel is a mere notch above hostility. I would hope another Piran hotel would offer better service for tourists interested in discovering Slovenia.

I booked 2 rooms for 1 night for a total of 430 euros. In my room was impossible to stay innthe day because they are doing works in another floor and there was drilling on the walls all the time until 6.30 pm. I complained at the reception and they told they didn't know about any work. so I showed them the pictures of the people working. then the next day the private beach is not allowed because they had to take pictures until 10 am. hundreds of people had to stay away for one photographer. unbelievable. I am so disappointed of this 5 star hotel with prices 5 star and so low on confort and service

The view from this hotel was gorgeous. The room was clean, cute and comfortable. The hotel restaurant upstairs has a buffet option for 25€ per person (price for July 2022) which was pretty good and very convenient. Private beach area was really nice as well.

The hotel is amazing. It is clean, spacious and in a great location. It is only a short walk away from the centre of Piran.
The amenities are brilliant and there is everything that you need inside the hotel.
The choice of breakfast is fantastic, they have thought of everything. There is plenty of choice.

Perfectly located direct at the Sea ! Friendly staff at the breakfast room and coffee bar . Also the gym and wellness staff is really helpful and service oriented.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and has a private beach that is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are nice and seem to have been refurbished more recently. The rest of the hotel is quite dated and needs a proper refurbishment. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there. Just note that what you are paying for is the location and the private beach. The hotel itself needs to be modernized.

Excellent hotel with a breathtaking view over the Adriatic Sea. The staff are really helpful and polite. The beach area is spacious with plenty of sunbeds and parasols with easy access into the sea. The breakfast and dinner buffet is varied and delicious.

Wonderful location with views over the Adriatic, the rooms are quite a bit on the small side for a supposedly 5 star hotel. Also the food is more 4 star than 5, not to speak of the crowded dining rooms, but overall we had a great time.

Lovely hotel with great views from the rooms. The atmosphere in the evenings would be much better if there was a pianist or other musician playing. The large, excellent reception and bar areas were virtually deserted every evening.

We were in room 127 and I don't think the room is ready.. it's impossible to get wifi in there and there was no toilet paper. The staff there was awesome and my only concern was the room.

Nice hotel, clean and has everything you need. Buffet food could be improved in that pasta and other hot food often was only warm, not hot, so tasted average. Good breakfast buffet. Quiet, great balconies overlooking the sea. Lovely bar outside on the 11th floor.

This hotel has seen better days. The rooms are outdated and shabby. It is filled with mostly Russian guests on all-inclusive packages. However, it is on an attractive location, and the breakfast was quite good. The rooms and hotel (except lobby) are in a desperate need of an update.
