Rooms are small, but functional, ours had a nice sea view from our small balcony. Staff are mostly friendly and service is good. Hotel is clean and well kept, nice swimming pool which was never that busy.

This hotel is conveniently located to the airport and a very short walk to the beach! The rooms are small and efficient but nothing special. The pool area is okay. Overall, it’s good quality for the price.

This was our second stay at the Portofino, this time at the end of our week in Mallorca. We had a comfortable room with a sea view, aircon and powerful shower. There was also a small fridge which was really useful. Check-in was straightforward and our room was ready early. The pool is lovely, with plenty of chairs, loungers and parasols and there is a bar serving food. The beach is a few minutes’ walk away. The rooftop bar is a bonus, with panoramic views and cocktails. The staff were so helpful and friendly, including arranging taxis, giving recommendations for restaurants and advice about buses. Checkout is a generous 12:00. Our flight wasn’t until later in the evening, so we stayed round the pool and were given the use of a single room to shower before we left for the airport. We couldn’t fault the hotel and would definitely stay here again if we had the opportunity. Thank you.

This was a chance find on Expedia and we were very happy. Gorgeous swimming pool, lovely rooftop bar, comfortable lounge in reception while we waited for our taxi. The staff were so friendly and helpful and very welcoming. Our room had comfortable beds, good showers and welcome air conditioning. We didnt have breakfast, but it looked lovely. The beach was a couple of minutes away and we had paella at El Bungalow overlooking the sea, which was really good. Shops and restauants on the doorstep. All in all, a perfect stay for us.

Good location in a not so touristy area. Local beach is not so nice. Good bars and restaurants near by. Close to palma by bus or taxi. Need more power outlets in the rooms.

Lovely hotel in a great location

This was my second time at the UR Portofino hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again. Although the rooms are quite small, they are kept in good condition but could do with a bit of a modern upgrade. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the rooftop bar is a must as the views over Palma are amazing. A perfect hotel for a short stay with a lovely pool and beach only a short walk away. Would defonitely reccommend.

We don’t like the big charter hotels, so this was perfect for us and the area was nice with just some small places to stay. Our room was not very big but had a big balcony with chairs and sun beds. A very friendly hotel with a pool area and restaurant and the skybar was great especially when we went there on Thursday when they had live music. The sky bar was a Good place to watch the sundown. Breakfast was great and good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just some steps away from the beach. We would recommend this hotel and we wish we could come back. The organization during the pandemic seems good.

Charming small hotel. Allowed us early check in and later check out. Great breakfast and rooftop bar. Very closed to a fantastic beach. Pool area very crowded with non-residents and we were very surprised to learn we could not use the balinese sunbeds as hotelguests. Great walk along the beach into Palma

We have stayed here more than eight times so we have a fairly good experience of the hotel. This hotel has some good, but unfortunately latent also bad sides. First off, the location is great. Right by the beach, loads of restaurants around (don’t miss Japanese Blue Wasabi across the street) and in a quiet residential area. The staff are friendly and they have built a really nice rooftop bar at the top of the main building which is great for having a drink and watching the sunset. It’s easy to catch the local bus (#35) a few stops into Palma. However - the rooms are excruciatingly small and even in our Superior room our two carry on bags did not fit. It is extremely noisy, mainly from the corridor/stairs but also between rooms and balconies. The worst though is that people (non hotel guests) are invited in to the pool restaurant and leave their kids playing like it’s a waterland while parents sit drinking. The pool is small with just a few sun chairs and even with the hotel half empty it was hard for hotel guests to get a spot by the pool or in the restaurant. This (small) area should be for paying hotel guests. Not to mention the splashing (both books and phones got drenched) and all day screaming. So if you are after peace and quiet - look elsewhere. You can certainly get better for this price. This is a small hotel that would do well to consider changing into an ”adults only” facility as neither the building, the amenities or the size are suitable for children.

Lovely views, great location, friendly staff. Furniture inside and the walls are not brand new but the bed is comfy and i had a very pleasant stay there.

This hotel is a little gem of a hotel. It’s in a residential area, so very quiet. We’ve just come back from a 3 night stay. Breakfast was 10 Euros per person, which consisted of Buffett. It was so well presented & fresh every morning. Our hotel room was immaculate. The Cleaner cleaned our room every day. Pool is amazing with plenty of sun beds. Lots of local bars and restaurants in The vicinity. To catch a bus into Palma is really easy. Take the number 15. It’s 1.50 euros per person. Takes less than 10 minutes. Buses run frequently. This hotel is a little oasis and would highly recommend.

Fabulous, quiet hotel. Clean, lovely staff and great food. Close to the airport, beach and restaurants. Situated in a quiet area but close enough to walk along the promenade into Palma (approx 45mins). Would definitely stay again.

Excellent service from the staff. Nice pool area. Nice modern bathroom with good shower. Very small bedroom. Only available power supply was in the bathroom, but staff gave us an extension lead when we mentioned it, so we could charge phone etc. Bedroom doors bang VERY loudly

Pros: the staff and concierge go out of their way for guests; breakfast is well worth the additional cost; property location is perfect steps from the beach, restaurants and public transportation. Cons: sewage smell coming from bathroom; faucet is too big for the sink so water splashes everywhere; no washcloths provided.

Fantastic position as not surrounded by holiday makers! Nice area with lots of foodie places near. Palma Cathedral can be seen in the distance from our small beach & the City is 20 mins on No 15 bus. Beautiful city. Service & room fab but only downside was size of room & number of electrical sockets. They gave us an extension lead which helped. If you are sharing a room, you will giggle as you squeeze past each other but all good fun! Fridge & hairdryer helpful. Great place for a short break to relax & balcony with sunset was great. Would go again in a flash. You must go to Arabic Bathhouse in City and the trip over the mountains, boat, tram & train is stunning. Guide was not but keep fingers crossed, the views were worth it! Cathedral stunning from outside but inside was "not my thing" look out for small churches instead the one in Soller was great. Have fun!

Nice Hotel close to the beach.The bathroom was a bit too small but because we had a great offer it was ok.We actually didnt use any of the facilities, swimming pool, bar or breackfast.

Clean convenient hotel ideal for a few days away with friends. Staff very helpful. Easy to get from airport and in to Palma town. Lovely beach a 2 minute walk.

This hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the whole island of Majorca. It is a very nice boutique hotel with a great bar and pool area. The rooms are a little small, as are the bathrooms, which could prove a bit of a problem for larger than average guests. The staff were cheerful, polite, helpful and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning either a beach holiday or one exploring the island. It is only a five minute drive from the airport.

Convienient to beach bus supermarket restaurants without being in an area full of partygoers and drunks. Good for a family stay. Room a bit small but clean and modern.

The hotel was great. We arrived before check-in and they told us to put the luggage in the office and that we could go in the pool and we got a free drink. They always answered if we had any questions and the staff was very nice! The only thing that make me put the next best on a point is because the shower was leaky, so the bathroom floor was like a swimming pool after a shower and the toilet didn’t flush very well every time. But other than that it was a perfect hotel! It was located well, supermarket, beach and bus within a 5 minutes walk distance. I really recommend this hotel!

Stay was great! Coffee very weak and breakfast selection exactly the same for the 10 days we stayed there.

Nice hotel, close to bus stop, beach and some local cafes and shops. Beautiful rooftop bar with great sunset views, really loved this. Not sure its a family hotel as more than a couple of kids in the pool and the area becomes noisy and crowded.

We arrived very early (10:30) but were not allowed to check in early - we had to wait around until 14.45 before our room was ready. Also the room was very very small.

Overnight stay as handy for palma airport - late night flight arrival- we have stayed here several times re comings & goings of airport. First class all round - nice hotel/staff & great location! Complimentary cava on arrival!

Nice hotel close to a great sandy beach. Close to Palma city lovely coastal walk takes about 40mins great bus links. Only 10-15 min transfer by taxi from airport so some aircraft noise ( didnt bother us )

Excellent value for this hotel near our friends in Arenys de Mar. it is near great restaurants and cafes and the beach but probably one third the price of more touristy places.

Loved this hotel, we arrived a little early, so the lady on the front desk told us we could change and leave our luggage in the office, so we did and went for a little stoll on the beach, which was a minute walk to the end of the road! When we got to our room, it was spotless, and although not the biggest of rooms, it served its purpose! The maids cleaned it everyday too. The aircon in the room was freezing, perfect! Breakfast was nice, with a wide range to choose from, and the dining staff were really friendly too. We had dinner on the roof top terrace, which was open Friday - Sunday, the views were amazing, and I would highly recommend the pumpkin ravioli, it was delish! Would I stay here again?..........in a heart beat!
