The resort needs to be updated. I had to be switched from rooms because they gave me the wrong room and both rooms did not have working lights, a working blow dryer, no iron available, and no hot water. The staff was trying to be helpful but the results were not satisfying. The resort had great entertainment and the resort was beautiful.

The approach road to the hotel is a car killer. Needs to be asphalted

For the price they charge, they must give free internet to their guests, but they surchage internet. Service is good but not very good. They must have a trail to walk.

Property is great. Facilities are clean. Easy access to everything. Breakfast buffet is great, plenty of choices, great variety. Dinner is a bit more limited. Staff is friendly, but not amenable. Rooms are clean and spacious, but no iron and board (standard in any hotel). Call the front desk to get one (tips to pay). Water in the rooms is not potable. They provide you with 1 bottle of water, which you can use for drinking and brushing teeth. They replenish the bottles, but if you need more than 1, call the front desk (more tips to pay). Check in process is horrible. The hotel is far away from everything (part of why we chose it). Long drive to get to it. 1.5 hrs away to closest international airport. After a long flight and drive, you expect a seamless check in. Well, we got to the front desk, one of the people in the counter ask how she could help. I said I wanted to check in. She requested all documentation (passports, reservation number, etc. - this is standard). She checked her system, she asked me if I had been to the check in area. I looked up, and the sign said "check in." She turned to her partner, they laugh, and she tells me to follow her. We walk to another building next to lobby, and they ask me to sit down. We wait for 5 minutes. I'm asked to fill out some forms. They photocopy our passports. Once complete, need to go back to the check in area to get bracelets to show we are guests. Lobby is noisy (loud music), and next to pool, which at time had a DJ blasting.

Staff was friendly and food delicious

This is a big farm - family oriented hotel. Do not expect luxury and instead enjoy lots of kids friendly activities (milk cows, pick up eggs, feed pigs, horse riding). The half price unlimited entrance to Panaca is priceless. Good Colombian food, fun shows, clean facilities. I loved the hammock in my rooms balcony!

Pools were small and a lot of guests in the hotel didnt had seats at the pool area

The place is amazing, if you enjoy nature and want one of the best climates in Colombia this stay is a must. Remember you’re at the heart of the coffee region.

The manager is a very good incredible person. His name is Diego . He help me and my family to feel more comfort.

Great for a family visit. The all inclusive has great food and ambiance for any age, making it a wonderful experience (you can milk cows, collect eggs and have the complete “ranch” experience!)

This is a nice resort hotel based in picturesque Colombian rural setting, with some great vistas. This was particularly true of the view from the balcony of bedroom, loved chilling in the hammock taking in the view.The hotel is located right next to Panaca agriculture/farming theme, which is good for a walk around and has some fun shows.The resort is all-inclusive, with food or snacks available for most of the day. There is good variety of food at the main breakfast/lunch/dinner buffets, with most evenings themed by particular cuisine, eg, Mexican, Asian, French. Overall the food was good quality.Most of the staff were very friendly and courteous, although was hard to communicate as very little English was spoken.However please be aware that the majority of hotels guests are Colombian families with children under age of 10, so subsequently most things are provided to cater for them. This wasnt a problem for us but I could imagine some overseas guests not enjoying this.Overall I enjoyed this hotel.

Wow, completely surprised and blown away!!! I thought it would be "mountainous" and not that warm; but instead it was 25-30C and absolutely beautiful with fruit trees, palms and bamboo/guadua, tropical vegetation and endless lush green mountainsides. The resort pool was excellent and no worries about the water being too cold to enjoy. Relaxed, friendly staff that aren't selling timeshares or insisting that you attend an info session upon arrival - mil gracias!!! Huge, clean rooms with amazing views from your own balcony hammock. The food was incredible, you can tell the difference in the quality of ingredients when everything is either grown or raised on your own farm (bread, cheese, milk, juices, meats and vegetables...). Decameron Panaca should be celebrating their eco-sustainability at this resort, this is reason enough to go back!!! This was the perfect 4 day escape to finish up a busy vacation... definitely will return.
