We visit this hotel every year. We love to stay at San Nicolas Hotel ❤️

This is a beautiful place, with amazing facilities and friendly staff. Nice location, it takes about 20 minutes (walking) from the hotel to Ensenada's historic downtown area. The restaurant is also amazing, specially the Sunday buffet. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars under "Property condition & facilities" is that, the hallway has a weird smell, probably because the carpets get wet when people go to their room after being in the pool, and there are no windows. Having said that, we recommend this place and we'll be back for sure.

We loved the renovated bedrooms. Showers are not clean, mold is growing. Everything else was excellent for the price.

Terrible customer service, hallways and rooms have a old wet smell, too much unnecessary restriction of what can be taken in the pool area

Restroom needed more detail cleaning. Especially toilets

Food wait time was terrible, had to wait for 45 minutes for my food to be served...

The property overall was a great experience having the pool for the kids. I personally feel that there can have some updates in the rooms but it was a great time. They have 24 hour security parking for the vehicles.

This is my 2 time at Ensenada but this is my first time staying at a hotel . I was kind scared because I didn’t like it at first . But I love the hotel , staff are super friendly the receptionist with red hair that was their extremely helpful and friendly we ask her for suggestions of places . I definitely would recommend and of course coming back.

We stay there every year and the only issue is that when we request a pool view room they say they are not available and always put us on the top floor where they have the air conditioning and it’s too loud. Other than that it’s a cool place. The casino is fun too! Also they started doing day pass for people that want to use their pool and it was crowded.

It was very welcoming. The service is wonderful. Everyone is attentive.

The front desk was slow, they need extra people to help. Little things in the room were broken, towel holder, light switch, etc.

The food and the pool were nice but didn’t like anything else and there was a cockroach in our room.

Hot Tub was not hot at all they were perfect for little kids. I you are looking to for a hot tub and relax this is NOT the place. Firepits area were very nice but no one from maintenance could turn them on. Excellent food!!

The property is excellent, there is some temporary road construction that is a bit inconvenient. Great pool, excellent service, super clean and an incredible value. Great staff and they have secure and ample parking. Close to downtown and the malecón. A quiet area and safe area

Nice and clean hotel in Ensenada. Excellent service and facilities. My only complain is about the pool hours. For a big pool they should open it early (before 9am) to allow guests to do some laps before the crow arrives. Also avoid if you want a relaxing time as the pool gets really busy during the day with kids screaming and enjoying their time.

The location was great very close to everything. This location is 2 blocks away from the port of Ensenada. The hotel grounds were clean and the food options were decent and affordable. The only thing was that the bathroom in my room was not too clean there was hair everywhere. The hotel is a little outdated but the rooms are remodeled which is great.

When we arrived we were greeted. It all started great.They have private parking which you have to check in first before you can enter. They have a casino, i did not go into. Husband went and did not care for it, and he is a gambler but this was different and just not his vibe. He said it was packed, You need to upload cash on card Room we had a pool view it was nice, clean and bed was comfortable with balcony and 2 chairs. Bathroom is remodeled. Only major down fall was the AC once we turned it on it left a BIG puddle. They tried tonfix it they could've. They wanted to move us to a down graded room cuz they said they had no more pool views. We had such a hassle getting answers. The night staff is unorganized, supposedly there was no manager on duty to help and answer my questions or resolve my issue other then moving me to a room with view of the dirt street. We ended up with a bucket in our room so it would catch the water. Mind you its June summertime. Management was also so rude to me. Eye rolling, refused to give me names n emails. Just attitude all around. They wanted to rectify the sitwith free margaritas. So much more to this interaction. Not enough space. Pool is great clean. The waitstaff at the pool is friendly. The service was kinda slow. Even slower for food orders. We had 1 bad rude lady apparently she was in charge of the pool bar. Rude with attitude. The kind that talks to you but doesn't look at you. Food and drinks all delicious everything we ordered

There was an issue with electrical noise in my room and they were unwillimg to give me another room with higher rate despite the fact taht i couldnt stay in my room. The room ingot instead was facing the street and naighbor's A/C fans that produce even more noise than the issue in my original room. Bad customer service overall!

The Hotel is amazing. The rooms have been updated and the pool area is definitely a focal point. My wife and I stood there for 4 days. The restaurant and bar are inviting and offer great food and drinks. Along with outstanding service. Housekeeping does a great job along with the parking security. Did I mention that theres a casino attached to the hotel?!
