It’s a great hotel but you can’t walk to town and a taxi cost USD$40 for a round trip to town on a 15 minutes one-way ride

Remote and in need of lots of maintenance

Every time we come it gets better and better. This is a quiet and homey place to stay. The marina provided a picturesque view, making the stay quite enjoyable for water enthusiasts. Yelaine at the reception stood out with her exceptional hospitality, ensuring a warm welcome and addressing any inquiries with a friendly demeanor. Her attentive service added a personal touch to the overall positive impression of the hotel.

Everithing was ok, but there is not a beach. The sea area for swimming was dirty and there was no one to clean it. Despite everything, it is a beautiful place that I recommend visiting.

It is our second visit to the Bannister, the service is excellent, the staff is pleasant and helpful, and it is one of the best hotels in the Dominican Republic.

Please don’t go this hotel. I thought those pictures of the beaches were at the property or near by because they said property Amenities, but they are hours away, I immediately ask for a refund and they talk to Expedia what I used to book the hotel, Expedia said the hotel denied the request. Lose my money and I didn’t use the property. Also the bar don’t have a crew the need to send someone and basically they nothing you can do at this place, I’ll advise you to go to las Terrenas and you wil find a lot more options.

The problem began with check in. I booked a king size bed overlooking the marina. The first room was a double bed. The second room with a king size bed overlooked the parking lot. The third room was perfect and then I was informed it was a $100. more per night. Fourth room had construction above but I was promised the deck would be cleaned and jacuzzi filled the next day. It wasn’t . The real problem is with the management that has not trained the staff very well . A beautiful setting but a lot of service issues.

The Bannister Hotel is an amazing place. Every time I come to the Dominican Republic, I choose this amazing and beautiful hotel. Not only is it a fantastic place, but they also have the most accommodating staff with amazing and personable personalities. I wish I could remember all the lovely people's names but to names that stand out are Elena and Alexandro. It is very rare to find people like these two. Not only were they extremely nice and helpful, but they also recommended different sites to make my stay even nicer. The Bannister Hotel is the first hotel that made my stay outside my own city feel like home.

Is situated in the heart of a beautiful marina

The place was beautiful. Room and bathroom were in good conditions. Breakfast was amazing with a gorgeous view. The property is a little far from city Center so you’ll definitely need a car or motorcycle.

It was beautiful and very restful

Property was nothing special. Very dated. The staff was VERY accommodating and pleasant and the property was well maintained and clean. But the rooms were very dated and the beds were rock hard.

What a little gem! We arrived on a vessel in the marina and decided to stay for a night in the hotel. The staff is really the highlight as they are extremely helpful, friendly and offer 5-star service. However, the resort is gorgeous, I am obsessed with the decor, beautiful fresh greenery everywhere, woven rattan hanging lamps, its beautiful. A gym overlooking the water, multiple infinity pools, and great wine & cocktails. Currently sipping a $6 aperol spritz overlooking the bay. Can’t complain! Last night we drank martinis and played chess in the expansive & beautifully decorated hotel lobby and then enjoyed some coal fired pizza with a good bottle of red at La Regatta. This morning, included breakfast on the 2nd level by the infinity pool with free juice, a cute tray of freshly baked goods with incredible French press coffee, and fresh fruit followed by breakfast to order (get the mangu). If you don’t stay at the hotel breakfast is just $14. Everyone is wearing masks and disinfecting is happening with professional machines constantly. We feel blessed we basically have the whole resort to ourselves! Highly recommend a visit.

It is a beautiful hotel with a nice marina. The staff was helpful and professional. The meals at the restaurant were not very good though. Besides that, we were very happy.
